I wanna find the answer through my eyes and my feeling, so here I come.

Remember, when you go to. CHINATOWN, go on a weekday so there will not be too many people. Skip breakfast or at least just have banana and milk so you'll really be starving by the time you arrive there. Grab just one or two items from each store so you'll not get full immediately. Research the stores that you need to visit and the main specialty of that store.

If you like noodles, you have to try our pancit bihon and palabok. For soup based noodles, try lomi. And don't forget to visit the oldest Chinatown in the world, -- Binondo in Manila.

Hope you also try to visit Benguet to actually see some nature. Or the islands outside Manila coz Manila is mostly for offices and factories.
But if you are staying in Manila then maybe visit BGC coz it's very walkable compared to the other areas.

Thanks for coming to the Philippines, although we have issues with the CCP government because of their constant harassment to our fishermen, navy, and coastguard in our own waters, but we believe that Chinese are generally good people, I mean everywhere, any country there are good and bad people even in the PH, so it's understandable. Just the Chinese govt is what we have problems with bec of that, but everyone is welcome here in the PG, of course, including our Chinese friends. There are Jollibee outlets in Hong Kong. The gravy is a dipping sauce for the chicken, you should dip the chicken with it or pour it on the chicken.

Cebu is the best place to go for the first timer. Locals speak English well , warm and they don't recommend you Jollibee or any garbage Filipino fastfoods, street foods are fresh, more hygenic and cuisines are unique, nice white sand beaches, tourist spots are everywhere etc.

gravy, the brown sauce does not go on spaghetti :) it goes on the chicken, or french fries, mash potatoes, etc. mmmmm try halo halo as a desert. go check out the big huge malls, check out BGC and Makati, chinatown, check out the beaches, check out everything! i wanna go visit again! maybe one month next time

True. It's actually in America that I felt not safe in the subway, etc. becoz of many drug addicts and mentally-ill people just roaming around, and in other public places becoz at the back of your mind, what if there's a mass shooting.
So it is hard to say, just be more careful is good.

A few food recomendations, noodles try "pancit palabok", stew try "Sinigang Pork or Shrimp", braised meat "Adobo Chicken or Pork". Fried food "Crispy Pata". This are just the basic flavor profiles that cover Filipino Cuisine.

i just back from from Philippines trip myself.. solo traveling.. it was very safe.... filipinos are very hospitable.. just have to deal with the slow busy crowded traffic scene.. one of the congested cities and the weather.... and dont be surprise if people walk up to you and ask for change, money.... but beside that... Manila itself is a city of vast diffence from binondo, quiapo area to makati to modern BGC.... i personally love Binondo, Intramurous area and felt connected to the Philippines culture in those areas... Makati was good but i thought BGC was too modern and really dont feel the culture. the PH malls scene is on another level, great malls and different kinds of mall for every budget.
I can’t agree with you more , If I wanna to feel the culture,it is definitely not the super fancy shopping mall,because of short time so i didn’t go to the BGC area, I hope I could stay longer to explore,it is so different and vibrant,most importantly it is the hospitality from Philippines 🇵🇭.most of them are nice 👍
