Waze is helpful but limited. People mark police that have someone stopped or otherwise not a threat. They usually miss the hidden speed traps.

I honestly consider myself an expert at this point on everything radar laser and the counter measures. Learned a lot from retired officer radar Roy who pass a few years back as well as Cliff the head of laser interceptor North America among others and decades of personal experience. X band is only used in NJ extremely rarely , no other states use it at all. Some will occasionally use k, but 98% ka. Ku is outside the US.

Goggle maps is now tracking cops too. It'll say speed trap. But You need a radar and a jammer. Front and rear
I haven’t driven anywhere in 20 years without at least a radar detector. A laser jammer on my daily driver for almost 20 years. Added waze to my repertoire about 4 years ago and it helps. Do not cheap out on radar laser countermeasures. False sense of security is worse than no security.

I would also get ALP Laser Jammers and Aircraft PCAS system for Aircraft
Highway radar uses wazes database but can pull alerts from miles away vs wazes 0.5 miles
Plus highway radar has heat maps then you can add them as an overlay and they are for a helpful especially if you're in an area you're not familiar with.

Been using waze for about 4 months now. Its not perfect, but still very good. Even when i know where im going, still gotta use waze lol
You can put the google maps right above wayze on your dash. Go to settings in your phone and then carplay.
What kind of dash camera you have???
On road trips I use my Escort Max 360, the Escort Live app and Waze. I also drive a gray colored car without a loud exhaust and a quiet turbo. No pops and bangs tune. Don't attract unwanted attention. That laser gun is hard to defeat with just a detector. But, they can't use it while in motion or through the glass of their windows. So, your only hope is someone else has already put them on the waze map or someone else in the Escort live app has already picked them up.

Must be an east coast thing they don’t mess with us over here in the PNW. But we don’t act like idiots with our cars. Plus we all run radar detection!
🖖Some use pop ka, it comes on & off in order to get around people using radar detectors. Most just lazily keep it on with a set speed. .... Remember they can write a pace ticket just following you at speed. Reckless they can just see you flying past other cars fyi my people.
Also some cars have blind spot sensors that use a Ka signal, or another radar detector.

Lol LEO here i use waze to tell me when you all are coming. Plus by the time your detector sees that i got you with lidar your done. Ive had a guy swear I didnt get him at 112mph in his widebody scat. The lidar his camera in his car and mine said otherwise. Either way judge found him guilty and his lawyer still got paid.
I occasionally report police in motion if I know they are patrolling a particular area. I feel that my credibility is still excellent. Also run escort redline.

@392nightrunner slow down, and you don't have to worry. Over 80mph is considered reckless driving in the commonwealth.
Definitely check what is used where you are. X is only nj. Ka is 98%. Ku is not in US. Pop isn’t used in most areas. Don’t buy cheap. No security is better than false security. Get gps to filter false signals. Height in window doesn’t matter with today’s high sensitivity detectors. City mode isn’t sensitive. Highway mode will pick it up miles away. With unused bands off and gps filtering falses. They didn’t have arrows because valentine had a patent on it. The arrows are not needed and hardly helpful. Do your research
