Trucks are life! I've always been a truck kid/man growing up before I even knew it. The first vehicle I ever said I wanted was an all blacked out dodge ram with the 5.7 Hemi. Got to have the legendary hemi! And thanks be GOD, I'm not to far off from getting it now. Going to get some custom additions to my own truck and be blasting a lot of metal in that beast while I'm driving. Heavy metal + hemi muscle = Hemi Metal 💪🏾🙌🏾
I was always a chevy and ford fan. But damn did dodge hit it right on the nail with this interior. Makes both other company's look like crap in comparison.
i always had gmc and 2 weeks ago i got my first new ram and yeah i can say that i love it way more than any gmc i ever had. the interior is on point and the truck works great
They did that with the last gens too lol.. The exterior of the 4th Gen ram are still the best looking trucks on the road! And their interiors have been unmatched by any competitor since they changed them in 2013!

Looks WAY better. Im a fan of the new design but..The only issue these 5th gens have is that (unlike the 4th gens, which at least looked decent in lower trim levels) they dont look very good in the lower or basic trims. They really need wheel and tire upgrades. Its amazing how much difference that makes. Totally different story with the high end trims, those trucks look amazing in stock form.
Picked up my 2020 last night. Tint is getting done now. Bed liner and exhaust next.
Great wheel and tire pkg...truck should come leveled like that from the factory.
And go back to a one peace front diff like on the 2500's. Don't like the IFS.

Picked up a new Ram 1500. Thinking about doing this mod but with different wheels. Thanks. Also, I know this video is old but hard to see the truck. Lighting was dark and you moved way too fast. Should have added still shots or slowed down the movement so people can really see it. Thanks again.

Just went to D’Ambrosio last Tuesday, from NJ, and got a 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Night Edition from them. They’re great. It took 45min to test drive and sign. My friends call me Smitty as well and I’m a LEO. Love the videos. Was gonna level the truck but I keep seeing 2.5in not 2. Know why?

The beds are getting smaller! But for $550-$600 the small, actually really nice Home Depot utility trailer is much better than having a 7-8 ft bed. Plus never really cared for them.

I just got my 19 GMC Denali 1500 it came with a 3.5 level lift and i add a 2 inch to back with addleafs so abot almost a 5inch lift on 36x13.50R22 Nitto mts

Same.. im 95% going with 2inch level and a 285 60 20 Cooper AT tire. I think that would look good for me. I like the 3.5 lift. But I don't want to run 35s.

That's my plan...lift it with 35's and use my stock wheels. I like the look of them and don't want to sling crap all over my paint.

I have this truck in white not crazy bout your wheels. But I like the truck color. These trucks ride real smooth only thing I hate about mine is I'm getting 14 mpg at 65 mpg hwy. My last ram got 21mph with stock wheels and no lift.

Just an FYI... These are 34" tall by 11 3/4 wide tires. I just subscribed because I like the videos but slightly misleading.
I just got my 2019 Limited lifted on a 10inch FTS inch coil over lift with king shocks and air bags in rear. Has Nitto MTS 38x14.50R26x16 -107 Fule Forged wheels. Geting it rhino line tommow should get it bavk in 3 weeks.

Looks nice, wish they came leveled. Might have hurt the towing capacity going with 35" tires. On my '15 sport did the 2" level, went from 33" to 34" tires, barely notice when towing 7k lb. toy hauler. Nice video!

Pretty sure the side of the tire says 295/60. On a 20 in wheel isn't that 34" diameter?

I womder if they fixed the issue they were having on the 4th gens popping upper ball joints out of the controll arm when leveling kits were installed. Hopefully the 2019's won't have that problem.
Nobody can answer that question but a dude at 4wheelparts said you could do a 2-1/2" level but he too may have been full of shit

That looks good, man. I have the 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn Sport (Black). I'll be setting mine up with a 3" inch leveling kit (Yes, I said 3") on Tuesday with 22x12 XF-offroad-208 wheels + 35x12.5x22 nitto grapplers. To get a true level on these trucks the front will use the 3" spacers.

There’s definitely better options out there, but this is what the dealer wanted done. I personally wouldn’t of went this route, but it’s definitely cheaper if you’re looking to save money.
Bilstein doesn't offer a strut for the 5th gen yet

This was a very mild upgrade for a dealership. I would love to go wild with one, trust me! Have you seen my truck?
They did lift the suspension. Level just means they matched the front height to the back so the truck looks level as opposed to the rake built in from the factory. Your thinking about a body lift probably.
We installed a spacer kit in the front end to level the truck to fit 35’s. No body lifts.
As long as you don't go over 2 inch on the spacer you won't have a problem and ride quality is about the same,don't believe all the bullshit you hear about spacers,my 14 Ram had a 2" spacer with 35x12.50x20 tires for 4 years and it drove like a dream

Hey brother I really hope you read this comment and appreciate everything you've done. I've been a sub for a while but I'm serving over here in Iraq and was hoping if you could def keep us updated on what to do and how to go about handling the transmission situation. I watch every episode and so I'm up to speed on it but I too wanted do a very similar build (ram 2500 with lift and 37s or 40s etc) and I'm discovering this gear ratio and torque converter situation as you deal with it. This is my dream build so of course I want to do it right and obviously don't want the trans to go out haha but all this extra gear and trans stuff has me wondering if i should do the built at all ya know. I've done research but your the most direct answer i can see (very much appreciated) but from what i'm gathering from this is change the gears as soon as i get it as well as possibly get a revmax but all this as well as building it up seems like it is going to be VERY expensive. Whats your opinion. luckily I'm learning this with you so i can save all the money ahead of time ya know. just want to ride in my build without a worry. thanks so much and sorry for the long comment lol
Thanks bro & thank you for your service. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely be keeping everyone updated on the trans situation in the next series of videos. If you are going to tune your truck & go with 37’s, you’ll definitely want to do a gear swap before or very shortly after. Also, 4.56 gears is a little extreme for 37’s, but I went that route in case I wanted to go larger in the future. 4.30 would be a perfect ratio, but I’d probably go with 4.10 if you’re going to stay with the 37’s. More video updates to come, don’t worry. Again, thank you for your support.
Thanks so much I'm going to go with 4.56 just in case because in my head im thinking 40s and i know me smh...but question, if i buy the ram and do a gear swap immediately will i need to do anything after as far the revmax etc....because here's the thing. Im going for the look of the build and i dont anticipate tuning it anytime soon (unless i get it and realize what a beast she is and want more haha)... maybe 3 or 4 years down the road. it will be a street truck with a little bit of trails and offroading and blue moon towing. pretty much same as your channel nothing too crazy i protect my investments! im not power crazy like everyone with this truck (i have sport bikes for that) so im hoping swapping the gears and maybe flashing the ecu or letting the transmission relearn will be all I need to do. but sounds like it needs to be a gear swap and some revmax additions to keep the trans from going crazy or out.
I know some guys that have no trans problems & they are rolling lifted w/ 37’s with no performance tuning. Your trans will be A-ok if you just do a gear swap without tuning.

We didn’t adjust the speedo, there isn’t much of difference. The cost is roughly $4000 (parts & wheels).

Bro, thought you were trading in the beast. The new 1500s are nice and all, but a Big Horn is NO WHERE near equivalent to your truck.
The Beast isn’t going anyway, don’t worries there. Although it’s going under the knife soon. The trans has basically lost the 2 OD gears. Parts are ordered & the rebuild is coming.

What exactly do you mean you lost 2 OD gears. Just bought a 2019 Big horn yesterday and that doesn’t sound good.
It was in ref to my 2017 2500, the clutches for the 5th & 6th OD gears are toast. Keep watching the videos, I’ll be giving more details.

What leveling kit is this? How much space do you have between top of tire and wheel well? Doesn't max out the entire well does it?
Couldn't really see the difference. You zoomed in and out to fast without describing the difference in it. The other truck looked just as amazing as well.

I have a 18 sport night edition and I am pissed that with the 19 you can only get this package in Canada now.
Any idea if or when they will be bringing the diesel to the Ram 1500? I'm also considering waiting for the new ram this spring and I'm on the fence whether to get air suspension or not. Any comments? I took the Ram out with air and seemed a little stiff. Is that what I can expect and if so does it get softer over time? I like the self leveling of the air suspension.
