@1:18:47... "discontinued from life"... LMAO!🤣 one of the funniest things I've heard all year, thanks John
That’s the coolest intro I’ve ever herd. And quite surprised at the entry level price structure availability very fair giving the amount of designers involved to remain in suits a competitive nitch market. Awesome y’all
This is a really good visual experiment I really liked this 1.
Bummed I missed this... thank god y'all leave these up 👍
I like the kickers support guy thanks again all of you for what u do
Glad we could help!💪
Good teaching John
You can make sealed loud.. 4 18s comps in 4.25 cf per sub..1997 on a term pro mic ..154.. At 28 hz!!
I have always used separate chambers for each sub in a multi sub setup.
Many people feel that way (including our own John Myers).
Me too when did that change? I started building boxes in the mid 80’s, took a break in the late 90’s and started to get back into it and no one uses separate chambers anymore. When I ask why I can’t get an answer that makes sense.
@@richardgonzalez8961 I don't have any clue as to when that changed, nor have I any idea as to why. In my opinion, separate chambers for each sub in a multi sub box just sounds better.
Never liked shared chamber
@@airdreams1 I even build my home cabinets with separate chambers per driver. Yes, my home cabs are huge!
+1 .. Subscribed. .. Kicker, who knew!
Darn I missed it oh well I will watch it. Thanks Bill & Andy & Team Kicker
I wish you had used brown noise when testing the speaker spacing experiments. I wonder how the bass spectrum changes when changing the angles and spacing. Great video by the way.
Has anyone tried stacking the down firing boxes?
Yes, We have seen as many as 3 stacked. It works great!
I have a basic 32x14in sealed box can i go a few inches deeper say 32x20 inch deep?? For 12in subs will that make deeper bass..
What's the 12 you're using?
I'm a little late, but how does down firing affect the db's?
Check this video out. We ran a test that shows exactly what happens. ruclips.net/video/qswiC0SyTko/видео.html
To say that you get better low frequency response from a sealed box is not false. But it is in my opinion a very missledning statement. It's a complicated subject that takes more to unfold and understand. Many different factors is at play.
Love the content. I have a ? -If i have similar subs but one is D4 and other is D2. Is there any way to wire them in one enclosure for usable&sustainable play? U touched on it quickly at 4:25 but did not go into much detail. TIA
It is not advised, mainly because each sub will receive a different amount of power. As a result, one will play a frequency louder than the other, causing some distortion/cancellation.
I got 210 inch kicker comp VR‘s I’m trying to find a box for those speakers what is the smallest box I could use for those speakers I want them for my jeep
Look on the product page to find the range of enclosure sizes we recommend: www.kicker.com/cvr-10-2-ohm-subwoofer
You can also download the kickeru app, which has box building software: www.kicker.com/kickeru
.8 cu ft net EACH
so you would need a 2 cu ft box before displacement and bracing
You talk about distance from the sub.. i have mine in a openbaffel setup with 2 6.5 subs in a sedan rear shelf.. when im in the driver seat the bass lacks but if i lean abit forward it gets alot stronger.. any ajustment i can do or do i need to move my subs?
There are a few options, but the best thing to do is contact tech support at 405-624-8510 or email them at support@kicker.com. We are open weekdays from 8-5 cst. They can go over those options in detail.
@@KICKER-AUDIO thanks.. but im over seas not available at that time ..
So what's better on the sealed boxes I never seen a answer.
The biggest takeaway from Tuesday's show was that common chamber is just as loud as individual chambers, but from a sound quality standpoint he's still a fan of individual chambers. We will work on several Shorts to explain the highlights. Coming soon!
@@KICKER-AUDIO so my question with my 2 10 comp subs older version from 2010 they are in a separate chamber sealed box will I gain performance by removing the divider and then the subs are sharing the entire space inside the box each chamber is roughly 1 cube per chamber .
@@KICKER-AUDIO I've. Never in 20 years of building installing ever seen 2 subs in a sealed box using common chamber design. That would make me think since I have a 2 cube box chambered off 1 cube per 10 that the subs will play as if it's in a big 2 cube box
Also is it possible to invert using a sealed box ? I tried I once and the sub literally had no sound
We showed that individual chambers (vs. common chamber) does not help or hurt spl.
I resemble that North Dakota remark!!! My amp is a jp3 and the fan runs all the time. Hearing a cooling fan with a -10 degree amp seems so idiotic. We need a northern amp,and the subs get stiff below 0 too,lol
You resemble that remark? 😂

Passive radiator?
Absolutely. Radiators are incredibly useful in the right application.
Are there any sealed boxes that play 20 to 35 hertz better? The box I have now goes quiet in this range.
Absolutely. Its going to depend a great deal on the tuning of the enclosure and the sub itself, not to mention the power you have and the crossover settings. Lots of moving parts in car audio.

End of this year. Maybe sooner.
@@KICKER-AUDIO it’s ok to wait
I used to like Kicker back in the day when it was made in usa but Not no more.
I'll rather pay the premium price and get real performance and longevity, than todays products, same goes for RF and MTX.
Down
$399 or $4 ,lol!
OK we know 😂
Good. Glad we could teach you something!
I expected more from kicker, what a bunch of crap!
