Great video as always! The reason you are "bad at dodging charges nowadays." is because they changed shield pack. You don't take damage but you still get ragdolled now so it's like a personal bounce house. Although you still don't take damage when hit, it effectively makes your hit box bigger such that you have to be farther away from the charger when trying to dodge it. It's very frustrating for people who have been using this since launch.
btw spewer type bugs for whatever reason keep their sack collision even after exploding, therefore you get stuck on them, accidentally explode yourself, and even climb over its invisible body
i honestly kinda like this mission now since it forces you to come togethor as a team and defend the point with everything you have alongside the heroic music in the backround. its awesome
I agree. Flag and hive buster missions are the two where it's necessary for the team to stick together. I've cleared mega nests by myself on 10 and it's only a fraction of what gets thrown at you on these missions
Yeah I played Helldive Difficulty for the first time in awhile and I’m grateful my team was so locked in on dealing with the flags. Really feels like a full team effort
A lot of people play this game tactically, like guerilla warfare even. This is all about holding ground, which many of us, especially Super Helldive players, NEVER do!
Best Strat I have found is to just orbital napalm the breaches followed by orbital gas afterwards use thermites to kill anything heavy and the blitzer to keep the enemies at bay then eagle 500s for the last few seconds to clear out the area of bugs
I noticed this too, this is a hard mission type to solo because of the forced breaches. It's one of the only objectives I won't try to break off and complete by myself in multiplayer because I know I'll get overrun since it'll still spawn the entire lobby's worth of bugs on me 😅 I don't mind the number of spawns, but there's one aspect I'd like to see changed: After you raise the flag, you MUST stay in the area while clearing the enemies. If you don't, it resets all of your progress. I think once the flag's raised, that should be a checkpoint for your progress, and then clearing out the bugs and coming back should be completable whenever.
It is not the planet spawning nursing spewers. It is the mission. That one always spawns nursing spewers. Nuke silo missions have very high chance of spawning bile spewers. Some missions will spawn infinite hunters. Each mission has a pool of enemies it can spawn.
The invisible walls you mentioned are the corpses of the nursing/bile spewers who for some reason still have collision. It's gotten me killed countless times. Prime rage fuel.
Hey, takibo. EAT is now the best thing for solo dives on bug front. After the update, it one shots practically everything on bug front and it's available anytime. I managed to solo finish the flag mission with it. I recommend you to try it, if you haven't yet.
no support weapon loadouts are actually so fun, especially if you find an arc or flame thrower at a POI! Also gas grenades with extra nade armor is really good on these missions, add a gas strike and you can close down the entire area, to give time for the flag to raise.

Certain maps have certain enemies in them: Nuke nursery and egg missions are hunters. ICBM is bile spewers. Raise flag mission is always nursing spewers. Rest of the missions are randomly chosen from bile spewers, hunters and armored unit spam(commanders and hive guards heavy). The same goes for Bot missions too, berserkers seem to be tied to ICBM. armored unit spam seeds seem to be rocket striders. Not enough test records have been taken to compare other missions.
I remember doing it on bots diff 6 with my friends. Being diff 6 I thought it would be really easy but it was literal hell. Constant tanks and hulks being dropped like every 5 seconds
Really surprised you didn't find this out until now. It's been like this for a while, and I'm talking months since that was the last time my friends and I jumped on and did a bunch of these. It's like the old Escort Defense missions but still doable with enough grit.
Idk if you mentioned it, but for those who don't know, for spread democracy if you stay in the area near the flag its just one breach, its when you leave the area and go back in that another breach begins giving the feeling of "infinite" bug breaches
here is the tip. You can hide behide the small farm and that boxes in video 0:33 If you are not detected. When flag done bugs will leave it,mission will completed.
Did this mission yesterday with a squad of randoms - It was glorious. Absolute carnage, bugs everywhere, stalward nonstop blasting, taking out BT's with Thermites as a last resort. I want more of it - MORE
I recently lost internet for a split second and the lobby split from the main lobby, leaving me alone with no new players being able to join. This mission was hell. The flag radius is small and leaving it means the flag will start going down. With million bugs that keep coming in it's impossible to hold the position or even use anti-tank on fresh heavies right there. Going down means the flag resets, as there is no one near it, just like with the usual Pelican timer. If it ever reaches 100%, it still won't finish if there are any bugs left. Now I just go back to ship, select one of my latest teammates on the social tab/recent players and quickly join the correct lobby back. Works like a charm.
if i remember correctly, some mission types have guaranteed bug type spawns, i.e spread democracy forces nursing spewer spawns & launch icbm forces bile spewer/spitter spawns.
Gatling barage, queso + thermite, and static mortar are your friend on these missions. the Breaches all spawn in the same areas so you can cover one half in static and another in gatling, taking care of heavies with thermite and queso as they start to spawn.
I find it fun this way, at least with a friend or group. Solo it can be a nightmare to deal with, but so long as you can hold the spot it isn't so bad. When I have time to play I seriously enjoy a lot of the more recent changes they have done. There are a few I don't like, but they are fairly mild in comparison to what I do like.
Spreading democracy is easily the most difficult mission, especially on the bots. It's like the enemy is just offended to their soul that we're raising our flag - I hope they don't change it.
Err you tried this shit recently? I faced 6 sets of drops during a single flag on diff10 in a duo. 6 sets on diff10 meaning 18 dropships, by extension 9 or so unstopped dropships because we hit 6 for sure and 3 were late reactions by one of us

This is definitely the hardest mission to solo. It actually requires you to rethink the stratagems you're bringing with you. You should bring the stuff you usually take to defense missions. Autocannon sentry can help you out with endless chargers and titans. Walker is super useful too.
If yoy want to have this mission done relatively easy and with just one person, use the emancipator, one use is enough to completely do a flag alone, and if you are lucky, even a second (but very unlikely), don't need any stratagems since you can kill small bugs by stomping them, and focus on the autocannons for the medium/large enemies which are the real threats.
This mission and exterminate missions on the bot side are things I currently avoid as a solo. The bot exterminates are impossible (as a solo) because they don't spawn enough before time runs out.
Just learned that apparently mines count as enemies killed, so I guess it is possible to cheese a win on the bot front, even with the current state of things
People keep bringing this up but I've never had an issue with it. I shoot down virtually every ship that arrives and still complete with several minutes to spare...
By the way, shield generator pack hitbox now causes you to get hit by chargers, so if a charger hits the shield it causes you to ragdoll. Makes it horrible on bugs now.
I feel like guns got way better and more viable after the big patch, but then the enemies just got more armor and harder to kill. Now I’m just back to using the meta guns again.

What i've noticed with thermites, they have a delay before they arm, which when they do, the spikes pop out and begins to cook, i feel like if you just throw the thermite immediately it may reach the target before it arms, so no spike will pop up and just bounce off whatever like a normal grenade, so for closer targets i feel like waiting for it to arm then throwing might be better.
You should try grenade launcher, supply backpack, incendiary breaker, bushwhacker and thermite grenades on this mission. Grenade launcher and incendiary breaker melts all the light and medium emenies and thermites for the heavies combined with supply backpack and you don't have to worry about ammo or stims

I have noticed that theres a suspicious ammount of enemies when i wander off my team to do one of these for faster progress. Also i think every raise the flag type mission is more likely to spawn spewers.
They messed up on purpose and made the shield pack expand your hit box So when you dodge the charger with your helldiver you don’t actually dodge the charger anymore Instead of dodging the charger or the shield pack protecting you from getting slammed by the charger when its close The charger will knock you back just by hitting your shield pack It was a very dumb change, what’s the point of the shield pack when it kills you instead of protecting you, recently that has been the majority of my deaths I dodge the charger, the shield pack still gets hit, I get rag dolled and the charger kills me in 1 hit before I’m un rag dolled
It doesn’t improve the “stickiness” of the grenade, it makes it more likely to stick. The grenade wont stick at all if the spikes aren’t out, and since when you throw it the spikes don’t immediately pop out if your too close it’ll bounce off them before the spikes pop out. Do note if your unlucky and the handle hits them instead of the spikes that can bounce it anyway. It’s cause of the accurate and realistic hitboxes, kinda like the ballistic shield working on the ground as it realistically should.
Tbf i kinda like how Arrowhead is pushing you to work with a team instead of by yourself. If you can solo missions then it really is just too easy. Thats how horde shooters are supposed to feel. Space Marine, WWZ, CoD Zombies, etc.
Many problems I’ve had with this. The breaches can mess you up bad if you keep going off the area of the flag. It will continue the breaches so the only strategy after a flag reset is to wait for everyone’s stratagems to come back before the next attempt. It’s annoying. I’d rather not go off the area but sometimes I have to and not every random in my team will be nearby at the time
Difficulty 8 to 10 doesn't differentiate that much in spread democracy missions anymore, it's just a matter of which one spawns what more at this point. Forcing you to stay together feels more like a hassle than a teamwork at some point, which is your best option. Anything other than that, you'll burn reinforcements like a piece of paper on a raging flame.
I’d feel a lot more comfortable taking a support weapon or even a turret in that scenario. I agree that this mission is harder. I still enjoy it though.
I knew there was something up with this mission, I was playing it and between the infinite bugs and teammates that run away from the first sign of danger and refuse to stay on the flag it feels impossible, even with the bots it seems like they are constantly spawning even if you are stealthy if you start the obj you just get swarmed
This mission on helldive with the bots is insanely hard constant not drops of heavy devs, rocket devs and hulks and tanks my team got done in at the last flag because we lost everything trying to do the other flags
I ended up alone in one of this missions and it turned into a nightmare. I was able to complete the mission but i could not extract. I believe it was just me being paranoid but now i see this was "intended"
Honestly, I think your issue with thermite grenades is probably that you're throwing them directly at enemies that are ten to twenty meters away without adding any arc.
This gave me ptsd from nuke nursery mission when it was still new. But now its quite easy after couple of update and fixes. Got clapped so hard by the bugs😂😂
Noticed games get increasingly more difficult depending on how many successful missions you've had, to the point where every damn bug wants to call in reinforcements if they so much as catch a glance. Especially when the jumper cannon fodder are involved with S.E.A.F. artillery, by far hell on solo runs.
Just got off of doing (losing) a Spread Democracy mission, couldn't raise a single flag, we'd defend it till its finished but since the enemies never stopped spawning they infested the point and we were overrun😢
Maybe I'm just a noob but I don't think I've EVER had fun on the spread democracy mission lol. I've had multiple instances of clearing out all but 3 bugs on the flag, and then when I kill 1 bug 2 more suddenly appear. Not on screen, they just spawn in the radius and I have to go find them. By the time I find them, they do another bug breach. It's 90% of the time pointless for me to even try to cap a flag because there's always more bugs spawning out of nowhere stopping the cap.

This just makes napalm stratagems 10x more useful, ESPECIALLY the napalm barrage

I played with friends, everyone carried the napalm barrage and it is glorious to see a sea of burning bugs.

On the raise the flag mission you can stand on the flag as it’s raising and no bug can touch you even spewers or titans

A couple of days ago, i also got a game where three Grenades just bounced of one Hulk even though i've waited for the Spikes.

Gatling Sentry and Rocket Sentry make short work of these missions. Throw both down in good spots and it takes care of mostly everything.
And don't forget the front. They spawn 5 tanks and 2 factory striders while solo
Dodging chargers with the bubble shield is harder because your hitbox is bigger.
How do you make the game so crisp and the ambient so easy to see thorugh? I struggle a bit with visibility, especially on bug planets!
If you hold your themeite out for a couple of seconds it sticks better

Use eagle air strikes or other stratagems to destroy all the buildings around the objective, so you can have good line of sight everywhere
With 4 players, this mission is really fun, I hope if they decide to change anything about it they leave the 4 players experience alone
Loadout for this mission you want, ER launcher, granade launcher, auto cannon sentry and rocket sentry. Mission becomes easy.

This mission might easily justify the use of Tesla Tower and Lightning Resistance armor perk
The mission is glorious now
Many problems I’ve had with this. The breaches can mess you up bad if you keep going off the area of the flag. It will continue the breaches so the only strategy after a flag reset is to wait for everyone’s stratagems to come back before the next attempt. It’s annoying. I’d rather not go off the area but sometimes I have to and not every random in my team will be nearby at the time
Difficulty 8 to 10 doesn't differentiate that much in spread democracy missions anymore, it's just a matter of which one spawns what more at this point. Forcing you to stay together feels more like a hassle than a teamwork at some point, which is your best option. Anything other than that, you'll burn reinforcements like a piece of paper on a raging flame.
I’d feel a lot more comfortable taking a support weapon or even a turret in that scenario. I agree that this mission is harder. I still enjoy it though.

I knew there was something up with this mission, I was playing it and between the infinite bugs and teammates that run away from the first sign of danger and refuse to stay on the flag it feels impossible, even with the bots it seems like they are constantly spawning even if you are stealthy if you start the obj you just get swarmed
Spikes don't make a difference. The angle is what matters
This mission on helldive with the bots is insanely hard constant not drops of heavy devs, rocket devs and hulks and tanks my team got done in at the last flag because we lost everything trying to do the other flags
I ended up alone in one of this missions and it turned into a nightmare. I was able to complete the mission but i could not extract. I believe it was just me being paranoid but now i see this was "intended"
I did this mission a day ago. Me and the boys just afk'd it while throwing orbitals and chilling on super hell dive.
Honestly, I think your issue with thermite grenades is probably that you're throwing them directly at enemies that are ten to twenty meters away without adding any arc.
you arent being bad at dodging lately. You arent crazy. The shield backpack now, effectively, increases your hit box size and applies ragdoll.
yeah, the raise the flag mission is hella hard now, and even worst with the bots.
This gave me ptsd from nuke nursery mission when it was still new. But now its quite easy after couple of update and fixes. Got clapped so hard by the bugs😂😂

Yeh raise the flag is actually pretty hard for bugs. If you dont get control of the fight you have to leave and let it calm down a bit

Noticed games get increasingly more difficult depending on how many successful missions you've had, to the point where every damn bug wants to call in reinforcements if they so much as catch a glance. Especially when the jumper cannon fodder are involved with S.E.A.F. artillery, by far hell on solo runs.

Just got off of doing (losing) a Spread Democracy mission, couldn't raise a single flag, we'd defend it till its finished but since the enemies never stopped spawning they infested the point and we were overrun😢
The bot drop ain’t stopping too😢

Maybe I'm just a noob but I don't think I've EVER had fun on the spread democracy mission lol. I've had multiple instances of clearing out all but 3 bugs on the flag, and then when I kill 1 bug 2 more suddenly appear. Not on screen, they just spawn in the radius and I have to go find them. By the time I find them, they do another bug breach. It's 90% of the time pointless for me to even try to cap a flag because there's always more bugs spawning out of nowhere stopping the cap.
I long for the day when Arrowhead can adjust mission parameters or difficulty without completely screwing up the game.
Anyone else been seeing a glitched out bug below the map during this mission, locking the mission from being completed?

lol, you need to try this mission on bot front, asleast 3 waves of dropship, multiple hulk, a couple of tanks, maybe 0-1 factory strider, EACH WAVE...
they changed shield backpacks. you get flung around if they even scratch the backpack witch a charge.
