- This week I take the kids to St. Vincent's, Newfoundland for the experience of a lifetime. We spend the afternoon watching Humpback whales from the shore. It felt like we could reach out and touch them. It was magical!

Amazing that the whales are right offshore, and how wonderful that your children got to experience that!. How far offshore would you guess the whales were?, because they looked to be very close.
Yes it was so wonderful to share that with them. 🥰 Apparently this happens every year at this beach, you just have to get there at the right time when the capelin come in. We were so lucky, I’d say within 20 ft of shore ! The drop off is huge at this beach, so they can come in so close.
