Before I started with the grooves I ground each end down to a size that was a sliding fit in the bore (shown at 0:56). I used those ground ends as a guide to know how deep to make the grooves. Better if they are deeper than needed than not deep enough. The button was made from a 9.5mm (.375") ejector pin. This is oversized. I didn't show it in the video but after making the grooves I ground it to a slightly smaller diameter.
Yes, the slots will make the barrel more accurate. In this video (ruclips.net/video/sx8OgOJusXo/видео.html) you can see me shooting my first barrel. It was more crudely made than this one but it worked. You may have to research or experiment to find the best twist rate for the bullet you are using.

Срез ствола не равномерен из за нарушенной геометрии нарезного штыря и материал тоже не годится так как его твёрдость не превышает твёрдость заготовки .С такого можно стрелять но пару раз так как пуля в канале ствола разрушиться или застрянет из за сбитого шага нареза. Итог - материал не подходящий метод выдаёт низкое качество выходящего продукта

El acero supongo debe ser como 4041, la 9mm solo genra 250 Mpa, mietras ese metal resiste asta 250000 mpa(dependiendo su grosor) lo de las estrias obviamente se desgastan. Hasta las marcas reconocidas tienen una vida util de disparos, 10000 disparos en Glock por ejemplo. Este es un trabajo barato, oara un trabajo barato, en países pobres, funcinal para la misión, no una arma para heredar a tus generaciones. Por que si piensas de esa manera, pidiendo calidad, y barato. Estas muy equivocado.

What steel was the rifling button made from?
It was cut from a injection molding machine ejector pin. The rods I used to push it through are also ejector pins of a smaller diameter.

Not that I can think of. Might need to try again with a thicker stronger barrel.
