I have a build a pistol wall in my store. These barrels have never had a complaint on accuracy or looks from any of my customers. The Titanium nitride barrel in a coyote tan or black slide looks mint. The copper barrel looks great in a green slide.I would say 50% of my stores AR15/AR10 uppers sold are BCA. All of the uppers sold only 1 issue with a AR10 having the spent cartridges get stuck in chamber. Issues will hapen with any company if you deal in their products enough. BCA customer service is what keeps me buying more and more of them for my store. I do wish they offered stealth lowers, with moe furniture though!
The part of the process I'd love to see is a more detailed look at the machining of the locking lug. You kind of see it, but just interested in seeing if it's a form cutter or just how you do the off angles and weird geometry of the lug.
I remember when these were $50
Get them parkerized in gold color and you wont be able to keep them in stock I guarantee that. And thanks BCA team for all your hard work
I second that👍
FYI, you don't "parkerize" in gold. Parkerizing is a specific process that produces the blackish grey color with a matte surface we know and love. The process that they use to make barrels gold is PVD with a TiN coating. Physical Vapor deposition with titanium nitride. Titanium nitride is a generic wear resistant coating used on tools and other high wear surfaces.
You can also do PVD and TiCN(copperish) or AlTiN(blue/purpleish) or CVD with a DLC coating - Chemical Vapor Deposition with Diamond Like Carbon which is extremely hard and durable and black in color.
The other black coloring often used is Nitride which is essentially diffusing into the metal surface and changes the chemical composition of the metal itself to become harder and more wear resistant.
Just thought I'd shine some light on the processes for you.
Thing of beauty.
GREAT VIDEO!!! I LOVE the 5-Axis CNC Mill!!! The Machining on the Barrel looks REALLY GOOD, and it looks like the Female inspecting the parts, really knows what she is doing. I didn't see them use a Bore Guage on the I.D., but I'm sure they have that covered🙂
Glad you enjoyed it! We didn't video all of the inspections to make the video flow better
@@Bear_Creek_Arsenal Would Bear Creek make a custom Glock Barrel and Slide in a caliber that needs a better platform to modernize it .
Thought i was the only one who noticed the tools being used for QC checks. Shars and Pittsburgh dial indicators. I do hobby machine work in my basement for giggles and even i use Starrett, Mitutoyo and Bestests. Would it really break the bank to use even $100 indicators instead of indicators that cost $8.99 without a coupon?
It really depends on the person using them. I've had my machine tool instructor get pinpoint accurate reading with nearly destroyed micrometers just to prove a point.
Once you have experience, and practical application knowledge, you become more accurate than the tool.
Though I understand your point and also think a quality name should use quality QA tools.
Hi rookie machinist here
Yes name brand is best but not for why you think. Calibrated is calibrated a cheap indicator vs a starret are gonna read the same the starret will be smoother but gives the same number. The quality difference only shows when drop shit or crash shit. You can drop a starret indicator and fix it or it may be perfectly okay cheaper indicators or measuring tools may be permanently screwed.
That’s a awesome process thanks for sharing
I haven't seen the heat treatment they give to the barrel after the machining is finished.
Awesome video. Makes me want a BCA Glock barrel now.
Nice manufacturing
I had no idea y’all moved that much product. That’s a ton of barrels
Very cool
these things a great but a pain in the ass to make by the looks of it
Sell a few in 32acp and 9x18 for the 42. Or 43
Can I have a crate of those barrels? For research purposes of course
Make new shield plus threaded barrels! I’ll buy one
Are these heat treated in any way?
would kill for a 357 sig conversion barrel glock 20
Would love to get my hands on one of the Glock 17 barrels.
Finally got one 👍
Do these have supported chambers? I just got mine delivered.
Yes they are
@@Bear_Creek_Arsenal sweet. Thanks for the response 👍
Does it come in purple
Whats is metal type?
I check ya'lls website from time to time. What happened to the glock replacement barrels? The inventory keeps getting slimmer and slimmer. (40s&w fanboy)
I believe we've decided to focus on our most popular models due to material shortages and high demand. We'll get some back eventually though
@@Bear_Creek_Arsenal i would love to see g24 barrels someday lol
Is There way I can get a shooter job?
You guys kick fucking ass. Poor boys like me can afford to throw our only suppressor on our Glock 😁
do you guys make the barrels for the Glock 17? or the 45 ACP G-21?
We have both threaded and unthreaded barrels for Glock 17s. RUclips won't let us link to them, but you'll find them under the products drop down list
how to buy
You would need to place an order online with your BCA Account; www.bearcreekarsenal.com/
@RTT : Guns & Gear
Just got one and it shoots awesome. But, when trying to clear my G45 with a round in the chamber it gets jammed. Very, very hard to clear the chamber. I switch back to the stock Glock barrel and no problem clearing the chamber. Any ideas?
Sorry to hear that. Please reach out to customerservice@bearcreekarsenal.com and they will assist you
It’s because you’re using a $50 aftermarket barrel
Production costs not more than $200
Brand name costs $300
Rest is shipping and peoples margin.
Musics a little dramatic isn't it
Pittsburgh drop mic?! Who would’ve guessed
Did somebody need a barrel for a 3d printed glock.
What's with 1:16 twist your barrels come in vs others that are 1:10?
A Pittsburgh caliper checking specs? Come on guys, seriously...
Careful with customer service and don’t expect to speak with anyone over the phone. So far not enjoying my service. Also it’s not stated anywhere on their site but be prepared to wait 2 weeks before things get shipped even though it says in stock.
Sorry to hear that. Can we help you with anything? The 2 week shipping delay is no longer in effect; that was to accommodate high demand in November (it was stated on the product description).
@@Bear_Creek_Arsenal I made a purchase yesterday on a (gen 2)7.62 side charging upper that was listed as “in stock” and was informed today by bellanira morales of your customer service team that my order was going to ship in two weeks and which upset me so I wanted to cancel the order considering I wasn’t informed of the wait and she told me orders can’t be changed or canceled. Re # [## 776624 ##]. I’m very upset
@@mykeejay396 I understand your frustration. I think, however, she was trying to say that our policy allows for it to be shipped up to 2 weeks, however, that almost never happens and we usually ship it out same day (if ordered by 11 am)
@@Bear_Creek_Arsenal I don’t know, maybe that is the case. As of right now however in my particular situation (Order#*******) that hasn’t happened. Tbh I just would like to know what the reality is cause I’m hearing two different stories. I was very excited considering the rave about your shipping speeds but now I feel like I got bait and switched.
@@mykeejay396 I understand and am sorry for the miscommunication. I'm sure they'll get it out soon
The best Glock barrels come from KKM Precision in Carson City, Nevada.
I don't think BCA is claiming to be the best but from the reviews I've seen so far I'm impressed, and that's probably what I'll end up getting, I'll take a look at KKM but it sounds like those are gonna be expensive, nothing wrong with a cheap barrel as long as it's to spec and built with quality materials and is accurate, like I said from what I can tell it looks like the BCA glock barrels have those basics covered, ive always steered away from BCA because of bad things I've heard in the past but all that had to do with ARs and employees that from my understanding are no longer there, but I might give a g19 barrel a try, the price is right
I gotta say, those KKM barrels sure are pretty
Bar-Sto is the absolute top tier Glock barrel but you will pay dearly for them. Their quality control and accuracy CANNOT BE TOUCHED. KKM barrels are a close second but “second” non the less.
@@GLOCKCOPG23 I guess I am a little biased. The folks at KKM are personal friends for over 50 years.
That's cool‼️
Be even cooler, & something I'd actually buy, if they were threaded.
🤷♂️ Just sayin...
Hey Cory, we have threaded Glock 17, 19, and 26 barrels in stock!
@@Bear_Creek_Arsenal 😲😲😲 I didn't see those in my search.
Round 2. FIGHT‼️
@@Bear_Creek_Arsenal is the 1579-BGL91919(M)TH compatible with my 19 gen 5 mos?
@@Cory14Tina02 Hey Cory, unfortunately our Glock barrels are only compatible with Gen-1 to Gen 4 Glocks
All good until they started measuring the parts with those shitty harbor freight tools..
Somebody send me one to Europe and I will pay 1000$ in btc 🤭
IT APPEARS TO BE A WASTE OF METAL . NO BARREL IS THAT THICK ON A HANDGUN.
that dont cost like 2 dollars to make.
Doosan?!! Cheapest china cnc machine you could buy🤔 come on!! Don’t spoil your business image🫠
doosan is a south korean company.. one of the oldest
What about the grooves inside the barrel?
How are those made?
Hi machinist here. Chances are they’re either doing a Button Rifling or a Broach. Hopefully they’re doing a broach since it goes let stress on the barrel.
How much is one barrel?
They range in price, but most are under $100
@@Bear_Creek_Arsenal no back ground checks and ships overseas?
