    I do think the car looks really good. But only from a distance. I don't know if it's the camera angles or something but I have a few issues with the car.
    1. There seems to be size gaps in the door jams and other places. I understand you guys probably started with a mid milage S2k, but I think they were overlooked.
    2. The body kit lines don't exactly seem to be flush to the actual lines of the car. I understand you had to custom fabricate certain parts but this issue on top of my previous issue ... Eh I'm just whining I guess.
    3. All the money that went into the car and it's not very fast. I really do like most angles of the car but for the 10k body kit and cost of the car... But I guess on the track it would be perfect.
    Oh, and it's missing the hood! They didn't even address that once lol. I want to see what the car looks like with the hood.

They couldn't believe it. Not into anymore, but someone got the car. Long story. Had a 3k dollar turbo kit in the trunk just waiting to be installed. Someone banked. Had about 15k in aftermarket in the car. Regrets! If you live around Newport News, Va and ended up with it, congrats!

    Only thing I'd try to work into the front would have been air curtains, with upturned internal vains.
    2 reasons
    1 air curtains =reduced drag =faster race car on less HP
    2. inturnal turning vanes would provide front downforce. =good for race mode.

    Another GREAT Hoonigan video and BB. I have a very serious question though: Where is your gimbal game?! A self-leveling hand-held camera gimbal would make these videos soooo much smoother! I mean, we're showing off a $100k+ S2K here, right? Step up your gimbal game!

    • @omglawton
      @omglawton 4 года назад

      no it doesnt look a the lights are miatas are round the s2k is a big roadster, that engine bay is ridiculously huge meanwhile that gens miata has the battery in the trunk i believe or thats na only but apples and oranges. The new miata has nothing on this to this day stock. Has a previous owner of both vehicles 94 miata/s2k ap2 08 sports edition and have driven daily the 2009 miata daily as well you can tell thats a s2k from a mile away. not only that its supppper low to the ground stock.

    Bad ass car...BUT you're running out of fuel at 300hp with 1000cc injectors? Uhhh cmon. Just be honest, you wanted the look of those secondary injectors. This car does not need 8x 1000cc.

    • @starvincharlie6728
      @starvincharlie6728 5 лет назад +5

      Don't forget that they are running E85 - ethanol has less potential energy than traditional gasoline so you need to inject a higher volume of fuel to compensate for that. I doubt that those injectors are at 100% duty cycle but I'm sure if Bisimoto tuned it that way, they're getting used.

    Holy unsprung weight, batman!

    • @jomaha9227
      @jomaha9227 6 лет назад +7

      I wonder how much slower and worse handling it is with these wheels/tires. Even with C5 Z06 a lot of track guys find the best balance around 275-295 section width, and that's with a 405hp 5.7L V8 spinning the steam rollers. Just going wider doesn't necessarily mean there is more contact patch because of the way weight distribution works, and it definitely adds more unsprung weight, plus rotational moment of inertia increases exponentially with distance the mass is away from the rotating center.
      Looks cool, may not actually be faster around a track. Cool show car though.

    • @EB-dr4dd
      @EB-dr4dd 6 лет назад

      That size tire is ricer, a stretched tire would have been more acceptable. Less weight along less drag and side wall flex.

    • @EB-dr4dd
      @EB-dr4dd 6 лет назад +2

      Way to expose your inner ricer. Drag racers now know more than you. Dry performance will rob fuel consumption and wet performance will hydroplane lateral. Go learn how to be ricer somewhere else.
