Digging your channel. I’m dealing with some red thread and brown patch in my lawn- live in Upstate NY with blend of KBG/red fescue/annual rye. Went with a lawn service this year and not the green up I expected. Always prided myself on a nice green lawn but decided on lawn service this year. I probably can take some of the blame for overwatering. My lawn had second app of fert. last Tuesday. First, will it grow out or should they be treating with fungicide? Also, will it be too much fert if I applied the protene to green it up?
Would love to share some pics of my lawn for feedback.

Ironite 1-0-1 is 20% iron and low nitrogen should work about the same since the iron is higher and a little less nitrogen.

I’m starting a BRAND NEW lawn in my back yard using your Blue Heat this fall. I’m in SE MI with a first frost date of OCT. 11th. When should I start the round up applications? I’m planning on smoking it 2 or 3 times.
Hey Pete, love your videos. I have TT Tall fescue lawn as well and I use Ironite which had 20% iron. Is that too much for this type of grass? Also I plan to overseed with some RTF grass to have it thicken up and fill in some sparse spots in my lawn, if I can get my hands on some RTF seed. Any reason why that type of seed is getting harder to find?

Love your vids. I just moved into a new house with a lot of weeds and clover. Any tips to get ready for fall seeding ? My lot is a couple of acres and I'm mowing about twice a week to control all the clover, tall bunching fescue, dandelions, and some other weeds. For now I'm basically planning to put down a 3 in 1 weed and feed. Thanks in advance if anyone has any input on this. Weather is reaching the upper 80s in the pacific northwest for the next few weeks I believe.
Also if you already have a video about this please link me. I've been watching for the past few years and I looked through the Playlist, but didn't see anything about prepping for fall seeding or if it's even worth trying to re-seed

@@GCITurf I sprayed milk powder during my tissue testing studies back when I ran a NIRS lab. I did see some numbers get boosted. Can't say whether I saw disease resistance.

@@GCITurf front yard does pretty well and is full sun, part of the back yard is partial shade and the other half full sun but both areas seem to always lay over. We’ve been in a drought here in northern Illinois but I water .5 - .75” twice a week, heavier clay soil. I thought about lowering the HOC in the backyard but with the high temps and lack of rain I’ve held off.
@@nickharding2253 if you’re watering .75” twice a week I bet you can go to 3.5” HOC and maybe that will help....

That’s a trick question lol. Because I don’t live in the Midwest. What I can say is I believe both will work in any climate that’s similar (or cooler) to mine. As long as it’s taken care of properly.
