I just found your videos today, they've been very informative of the process!
I was wondering if the cutting process would look different for someone working with much cheaper rough or cutting large batches of stones without as much emphasis on perfection. Are there less intensive forms of lapidary, or will all projects call for similar thoroughness and numbers of cuts?

Looks good. Beginner beginner beginner. I've only caught maybe a couple actual stones to finish. The other one got messed up or way offset when I was trying to reset the. Stone. Any suggestions you may throw out their books for diagrams. As of now I have not ever used a diagram. I'm in the process of recutting some facets on a Herkimer diamond. Went too far with 18000 paste. Had to reset my girdle line. I have a transfer jig 45 and a set of dab sticks on the way. Feels like it's taking forever.

start with an easy design 1 to 1 ratio like round or an octagon with 38 facets look for designs
