I picked up three Privateers myself from my LCS last week. I don't know how he got them so quickly but I jumped on them right away. Fantastic detail on them especially for a bullion round and you can't beat the price. Great choice Sal.

Wow very nice ultra ultra high relief. Makes one wonder if the generic round private mints can do this why can't the US mint do this on a regular basis for ASE s say a 2 ounce high relief ASE... 1st and only hr. Was the 2009 gold. I wouldn't even call the jfk gold hr although some do.
I just received my order of 3 of these. All 3 of mine came with about a quarter inch ding on the outside of the rim. It looks like maybe they were dropped from the press into the collection bin from too high. Has anyone else noticed any rim damage? It is pretty noticeable if I saw it. I just started my silver collection about 6 months ago when I finally discovered the Zombuck series. *note* I did not buy mine from Provident, but a different mint that shall remain nameless, for now.

PART TIME PREPPERS Yeah, Provident is really slow with paper checks. They do have an eCheck option you might consider. I've used it before and it seems to be a bit quicker.
I did the echeck still takes 5 days for funds to clear apparently.. But as of yet its been 8 business days and they are on back order.. bad luck I guess..

Wow very nice ultra ultra high relief. Makes one wonder if the generic round private mints can do this why can't the US mint do this on a regular basis for ASE s say a 2 ounce high relief ASE...

I just received my order of 3 of these. All 3 of mine came with about a quarter inch ding on the outside of the rim. It looks like maybe they were dropped from the press into the collection bin from too high. Has anyone else noticed any rim damage? It is pretty noticeable if I saw it. I just started my silver collection about 6 months ago when I finally discovered the Zombuck series. *note* I did not buy mine from Provident, but a different mint that shall remain nameless, for now.
jo ykoots Yeah, they could've had a different supplier. I'm sorry yours had those dings on them. I think your assessment is probably correct as to how they got there.
I contacted the mint in question and they are going to exchange them for (hopefully) pristine ones.
Just wanted to update. Bgasc did indeed replace those three rounds and the new ones look great!
jo ykoots one more question. Does anyone make an air tite to protect these rounds? What size would I look for ?

Cull Silver It;s not a bad price considering what is involved in making these high reliefs and thick rounds. My round was more expensive due to the process.

We orders ours on the 2nd day of the pre sale but sent paper check...so it may be a while yet...I'm enjoying the previews for now.
PART TIME PREPPERS Yeah, Provident is really slow with paper checks. They do have an eCheck option you might consider. I've used it before and it seems to be a bit quicker.
I did the echeck still takes 5 days for funds to clear apparently.. But as of yet its been 8 business days and they are on back order.. bad luck I guess..
