Charlie, please let us know if we can file an adjustment of status for my nieces who are ago out and they are outside of the US. we contacted some lawyers about this issue, all said they can not file adjustment of status because my nieces are not inside the US. Is that true? if not, please let us know that we can try another immigration lawyer. And if it is true ,why did you made a law that is unfair and has discrimination between kids inside and outside of the US. we are so frustrated and down. we need someone to help us. thank you.
It seems you been following us laws for a while with your family's application but it's remarkable that you don't understand it. The lawyer gave you proper legal advice. In the US congress writes the laws not Charlie he was only an employee doing his job. I get it you don't understand the rules so its ok but what you are asking to be done is illegal. You are asking them do break the law. The term adjustment of status means exactly that you are in the USA in "legal" status and the USCIS is adjusting that status to another status (permanent resident). It very disheartening to be separated from your family but try to find temporary solutions for your nieces like a F-1 student visa that they can study in the USA while being with the family or H-1b. Again, it's disheartening but it's unfair to cuss an employee (Charlie) for doing his/her job.
It is extremely unfair for Chinese investors. I have waited for 8 years since I invested EB5 program. And many families like me in china have been waiting for immigration to USA. I am so disappointed!
