I have an amazing 2018 Traditional in Honeyburst, Gibson discontinued them so they could charge more for a 59 reissue. I love the Burstbuckers and fat C shaped neck, and weight and orange caps. The AA top is more in line with the real 59's they didnt have solid tiger striped tops. Its very authentic looking.
I bought a 2010 gibson les paul desert burst $1600 Canadian 6 months ago looks and plays like a dream stays in tune i have owned 20 gibsons this is my dream guitar i am never selling it i hate guys who only noodle i want here a singer and a guitar player that is real talent
The sexiest guitar ever ( in my opinion) BUT I would not want any chambered work on a Gibson, or automatic tuning dilly's, just a raw VOS type, following the exact spec's to the T!! of the 58-model. This one on video looks nice, the sound is a tad treble-ly in al positions...I don't know maybe it's just me. AND, I would NOT go to a GC to get one, anywhere but there lol...
Notice they come with same knobs as athe standards as well a dial pointers (finger bleeders Lol) I am going to get a set for my Standard , I rerally like the sutle look of them.
@@michaelevans512 zippers And buttons And buckles scratch another reason why I only wear a t-shirt And shorts while playing And my 18 Gibson les Paul traditional is still in mint condition
zahn king shit colour , Alberto Gálvez Pardo hi , Gibson made their best year on 2016 the traditional is amazing. I have this info from custom shop just have contact. Custom shop used the traditional 2016 CNC not finished bodies and necks to make Custom shop guitar and VOS. They just do lots of hand work on frets , bidding and ... if you can find one try it . If you work a bit on frets and bidding you will get great les Paul . The colors of the 2016 traditional model are very real and after wet sanding it goes well . The color of 2017 and 2018 are somehow not real . The weight of the mahogany is also lighter in 2016 . Traditional is the best profile as it’s 59 shape but not so thick and not so thin its .840- .975 +-

Why can they stick the Les Paul model decal on these traditional and classic models in the correct place- they are so close to the truss rod cover it looks naff!

It would take 30 minutes to go through all the tonal possibilities the tone and volume controls provide. The pickups aren't 'muddy' at all. BB1 and BB2 are a great combo for the Traditional. They have a lower output than most so the tones are coming more from the wood.
At 1:45, when he lowers the volume and switches from rhythm to treble, take a close look at the switch and poker chip, the switch doesn't look like it's in straight and the letters on the chip are at an angle. Guess 2018 QA/QC for Gibson hasn't changed or improved this year. New colors though, oh boy!
That's what I want in a $2900 guitar, do the finish work yourself. How's that for Gibsons "legendary 24/7 customer service"? Maybe if I bought an epiphone i would expect shoddy workmanship. I expect more from Gibson.
Gibson has always been a shotty company. Every Gibson I have purchased.. I have gotten rid of. I'm hoping this is the year I keep the guitar. We will see.
CD C This tool doesn't know that it's not a good idea to eat mushrooms and go to guitar center. While others around him complain of the high cost of gasoline, he goes home and watches NASCAR and says, "Wheee !"
Phil Smith The sunglasses while indoors are because mushrooms make things look much brighter. But wait, can you play guitar while you're on mushrooms? Watch this video and find out.
Great guitar! Only problem I have is with Gibson advertising. I bought a 2015 traditional that states xl neck. Complete horseshit. I was told thats the biggest neck they make. The neck on this model(2015) is a strong solid c neck. It's a great guitar but if you want the real thing,go ahead and spend the xtra cash for the r8. For some odd reason,Gibson don't make r8s and r9s on anything but custom shop models. It's called cash. P
Can every one stop this les paul freidman amp combo it sound shite. Doesn't do any favours for ether. Plug the les paul into a marshall simple. The friedmans are to fuzzy for standard tuned blues.
He’s anything but a crappy player. The Friedman is not my favorite, not horrible but a little fizzy at times. My SuperSonic sounds righteous with my 72 Goldtop.

I just bought one, can't wait till it gets here!
Out of all the new models, this is my favorite (not necessarily based on this video alone).
Wow, so many negative comments...
Smh, much better guitar player than me. Great playing and demo.
nice light flame goin on...sounds good.solid les paul

real sad to see they didnt bring back the blueberry burst finish....that option was gibson's biggest innovation in years
They rotate colors every year (other than iconic colors like HCSB and HB), so blueberry burst might come back in the future.
HoshiHearts RetroGaming You should have bought it last year then.
Guitar Man i would have loved to, i never wanted a gibson les paul until i saw that. but it takes alot of saving money to get.
HoshiHearts RetroGaming Thag is painfully true. In spite of the jealous haters, Gibby is worth it.
They do have it, I currently own one. You can only get it at Guitar Center and MusiciansFriend. 2018 Traditional that is.

the entire point of this video is for you to hear the tones out of the pickups, not for someone to show off their skills.
Someday Gibson will do the color Tobacco Sunburst NON-PERIMETER 😠 and Gold Top in this model.
64x2 the "Burst" is the perimeter, I don't understand your comment.
John B. What part of non-perimeter was not understood?
I believe he means he wants the burst to not be past the neck pickup. Think 2008 slash signature Les Paul.
John B. He means a tear drop burst
Andy Fulton exactly
Tasty playing indeed!
I’ve looked at about five reviews for a les Paul but I’ve changed mind
2 years later, purchase a 2020 Standard. Much better QC. Not perfect, but better.
If I had that rig I could make my 2014 sound just as good. Oh yeah I would have to be able to play that well too. Is Pretty though Nice licks.
Excellent playing. Not sure what's with the sunglasses though, its not bright in there.
Zippers and buttons don't go well on a Les Paul nitro finish.
Every time i try to buy one of these I'm reminded of the Pantera song I'm Broken
Nferno great more for me!
This looks like the typical dude I'd see in GC if I walked in there.
Tyler Gakosuggmb cgmt jfvgrdgjnvin 4 fdi0upok
Tyler Gavin the im a musician hat and the im a musician indoors sunglasses
John plays really nice rocknroll. I believe he's the guitar player of band Dirty Honey (on tour with Alter Bridge and Skillet).
Ben Welch its a generic guy in music store look, no matter who he is
Guitar center, what if give this guitar to me? I think it is a fairshare. 🎸🤝
Nice hat bro
snazpatrol thats how you know hes a musician
Personal preference - but I prefer the older (before 2011) models of the Gibson Les Paul Traditional..

love the playing!!!!!

Nice color
I have a 18 Gibson les Paul traditional I just play it with my t-shirt And shorts And amp + guitar processor on bought it at long And mcquades
You can not wear just shorts and a t shirt, you also have to wear sunglasses, leather jacket and hat.

Oh give me one
so is there a PICKGUARD with the Trad 2018 models? i find pictures with one installed but mostly without
yes in the case its optional if you want to add it
Can i finally buy a Les Paul traditional in a goldtop finish this year?
Luciano Di Gennaro no i dont Think so : (
Luciano Di Gennaro a black One and a goldtop would be cool but ....
Nope. I emailed them about it.
Awesome Les Paul, great sound and beautiful color and Top and good solid mahagony Body 😁👍👌perfect and my next guitar for sure 😁
Yup, it's called an R7 hahaha
When did they start leaving the pick guard off the Traditional?
It comes with the pickguard, just not installed.
Dude can play!
This is the way a review and demonstration should be. More jamming and less talk.
Oh mah lawd
What colour is this in?

I am planning to buy one but I am confused which color ?
ADNAN KAZI Wear some sunglasses indoors when you play, and the color won't matter.
Ron Lawrence hahahahahaha I got the same color ! It’s on its way soon !
ADNAN KAZI It looks nice. I hope you enjoy it.
Is the same that 2017!

sounds too bright in all settings.would have been more informative to hear full range of the tone and vol controls.

I have a 2016 model and those letters arent even gold anymore. My sweat has erased it. Who cares? The audience hears the sound..
Loosen the nut and rotate the chip.. It takes five seconds.

That's not bad though?? If anything, they didn't screw it up with a bad glue job. All poker chip switches are supposed to do that.
Who's the guitar player?
Jeff Heffel John notto is guitarist
who is this tool?
