2018 ranger 1000xp. I get the misfire code at start up while engine is cold and machine not moving. If engine hot and I start it I don't get the code. After driving it couple minutes it clears code.

@@damourssteeven not sure utv have it. The trick is finding out why it’s denominating. But I’d have it back at dealer. Ecu might have too much timing in it

I installed dalton clutch kit on my 2015 xp4 1000 and set it up for my 32" tires. Ran 28" 9 paddles in the dunes and threw misfire codes and went into limp mode. Are the smaller tires my culprit?
I just dropped my Polaris ranger XP 1000 off to the dealer with a misfire code 1st thing he said the belt was hourglass due to belt slippage and I said I don’t think so I think it’s more than that it only has 2600 miles on the belt and they said nope it’s a belt issue and I said They need to checked for something else that is causing damage to the belt. Their reply is there tech has been doing this for 13 years and he knows what he’s doing.
@@tomayers6289 I've never had a belt last 500 miles lol I have learned a lot on these videos though and just recently put the HW belt on, so we'll see.
Sometimes it is hard to find until it stays until cleared manually. I can only tell you what to look for in the clutch to see if that is it. if you hit a rev limiter when you floor it at any speed it is the clutch

Hey I bought a 2021 Polaris rzr 1000 xp high lifter drove it one time it ran fine, 2nd drive I hit a hole and it went under and after getting it unstuck it’s throwing same codes here. I’ve replace spark plugs new belt. Afterwards I got to 65 miles an hour and then I turned around drove back and rpm hit 8k and then dropped to 7k back to 8k and then dropped again and code misfired. I had the gas pedal all the way down when this happen? Any ideas?

thanks for clearing that up ,never understood why some videos say the belt causes a misfire

An exhaust leak can or if you have a tune on it and you are not letting off the gas pedal all the way

No such thing as a belt code, that comes up as a injector issue but since not clutch related I am not a huge help on this one

potentially, put your 32 back on it and run it hard and see, you might have gotten you a new clutch issue you didn't know about

Kind of like brakes, 500 miles and they are done. Found a lot better luck with brass though.
Any idea what could cause a intermittent code. I come on every time we ride but always clears itself pretty quick
