I've known Joe Cruise since 1978 when he was my coach in high school. It's been a great pleasure and honor to hear their family's voice again. It's been wonderful to see God using the coach as he has done.

I remember seeing them at Magic Springs in Hot Springs, AR back in the early 80s on Southwest Baptist Youth Day. Our ensemble actually performed there that day (on a different, less popular stage). Their song Harmony was a song that stuck in my head all these years!

I remember when I was in High School, Stan Cruise invited a bunch of us to hear his Aunt and Uncle and cousins who were coming through and were going to sing at an area Church. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much but was blown away, and every time they came into town, I made it a point to go and hear them. This is really strange just today, I was listening to my old albums and actually listened to their album entitled, "Faith". The Cruise Family has Blessed me numerous times throughout the years.

Wow - what memories that brings back. I saw the Cruse Family sing multiple times back in the late 70's and 80's and have so many of their albums but can't play them anymore because I don't have a turntable. It's great to get to see and hear them again. They were always a blessing. I love watching Cindy at Lakewood now but I remember back when she was just a 16-year-old girl with a mouth full of braces. She's come a long way and God has really blessed her and her ministry.

I saw this family so many times in the Houston area back in the 70s.
not only were they great singers but Dad Cruse was a pretty good
    preacher.

I remember seeing them in concert when I was about 9 or 10 years old back in the mid 70's at a church in Palestine, Texas. We had the album that included the song, "Cornerstone," which was my favorite Cruse Family song, the album which has long sinch been lost. I would love to be able to purchase another CD copy if anyone knows where their music from the 70's can still be purchased?

I saw the Cruse family in 1984 or possibly 1985 when I was attending East Tennessee State University! I had their album and the cover and most of them autographed it and I've still got it! I must admit that Cindy Cruse was my favorite of course! But God bless them all they were such a blessing then and they are such a blessing now!
Thank you so much for sharing this! Where was this concert at if you don't mind saying!

@ thomasa62 Here are the lyrics to "Remember Me:
    1. The place was Calvary, and a time long ago,
The reason that He came, His love to show.
On a cross between two thieves, my Savior died,
While one man mocked Him, the other man cried:
    CHORUS:
"Remember me when you go into Your kingdom!"
    "Remember me!" cried the thief.
Your love bestowed, when faith he showed,
As he cried, "Lord, remember me!"
    2. As the people watched that day from that lonely hill,
The power of God displayed, it was so real.
As they saw a dying man from sin set free,
He saw God's Son, and cried "Remember me!!"
    Repead chorus twice, then tag.
    Tag: "Remember me!"

@GraysonBearden I saw them at church camp in the late 70's and bought an album, even had them all sign it! I have since lost that album. I don't know the name, but it had "Freedom" and "Remember Me" that I can think of right off the top of my head. Any idea the album name and where I can got a copy? Thanks in advance.

Tristanandlsolt, I do have the "Cruse" album - it's actually autographed by all of them after a concert I attended in Rockwall, TX many years ago. I wish I could post the songs, but I only have it on an old record album and don't know of any way to get them online. Any suggestions?

  • @TristanandIsolt

@kimmye8 Do you have the album simply titled Cruse? I thought that was the best of them all. Mom and Dad were no longer in the band and the Kids were doing some much more modern stuff. If you could post those songs it would be great. Particularly "You are that Man"

I was wondering if you can tell me how I can get in touch with the Cruse Family. Back in the early 1970s they did the music for a revival at our church and we are celebrating our 50th Church anniversary this year and would like to talk to them to see if they would be interested in coming and doing the music for the anniversary. Thanks for your help. Sandra Haynes
