I remember buying this album after they performed in Stillwater, OK at Hillcrest Baptist Church back in 1983. The Album included: First Love, How did God know?, Everyday Life; I Am, The Mighty One; Sing; You are that Man; Understanding Heart; Bless your Name; One Day Closer Home; and Me and My House;
+Curtis Brown By far the best album they ever did. The parents were no longer with the band and the music was much more edgy. This song is a great example.
Based on 2 Samuel 12 where Nathan is confronting King David with his sin with Bathsheba and subsequent ordering of what was basically a "hit" on Uriah. Not often would you expect a song based on that event (though Psalm 51; David's prayer of repentance following that confrontation, would be revisited by many other songwriters over the years)
Cindy wrote it and sang lead. She is now the worship leader at Lakewood Church in Houston. Per WIki Cindy Lerae Cruse-Ratcliff (May 18, 1963) is a singer-songwriter who serves as the senior worship leader at the largest and fastest growing church in the United States, Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.[1]
