Ben, the crescent wrench you keep in your pocket. I tried that for a while. I switched over to Channel locks 424 4.5-INCH STRAIGHT JAW TONGUE & GROOVE PLIERS. They do go up to 9/16. I bought mine off the Mac truck. Best dang $25 I ever spent. Mind you I bought those back in early 90's and have replaced them countless time on the Mac truck. Even a few times in another area and not my truck. Followed him to his next stop to switch them out. My last mechanic jobs I worked for a school district as the only bus mechanic. I had 27 buses on route. Always in my pocket, those pliers, phillips, flat head. Then I found the Kline multi tip screw driver. That was a game changer.

Myself I recently unsubbed from ViceGrip Garage after 3yrs because I can no longer relate to his content.. His builds were getting way to expensive for me and i just couldn't relate anymore like the 318 build that he says was built on the cheap!! Dodge viper connecting rods,LS pushrods and rockers, machine shop cost $$$$ lots of money in that 318,but says it was done on a budget. Also his more recent rescues are already at set destination instead of the traditional O.G . back yard /feilds and barnfinds. Instead the vehicles are at places that have garages air tools ect.its just not the same as the original videos.Again I can't relate to that.. My point is that I hope The Fabratts don't take this path.. I enjoye watching stuff that I can relate to. Keep the videos with viewers aspect in mind and not the sponsors..Thanks for reading this.

Great video!! It's funny how some kids think their parents aren't very cool, don't understand kids of today, boring sometimes, don't know what their kids are doing (I know I thought that when I was a kid), but when something goes wrong the first call they make is to their parents and most of the time the parents already have an idea of what the kid has done. My dad was a police officer for 35 & 1/2 yrs. in the small city I grew up in & he knew everyone & everyone knew him which meant they knew who I was & what I drove. I had a 67 C10 & then a 69 Camaro SS in high-school that I bought & built. I streetraced them & they were pretty fast especially for the early 80's. Seeing my dad had been an officer for so long, he trained most of the officers that worked nights & weekends so they knew my vehicles especially the Camaro. Whenever they would get new partners that my dad hadn't trained they would pull me over just to have me show their partner what my car would run like. It was pretty cool to be told by the police to get out there & do a burnout so my partner can see how your car runs!!😂😂 sorry for the long comment, but thanks for the great content & including us with the shenanigans!!

Your little original crescent wrench remind me of the one I had with the red rubber handle that my oldest son cut his teeth on back in 1981, because you always have to have a crescent wrench in your pocket.

Does a wood splitter need an accelerator pump?

The only thing I don’t like about those wood splitters is how crazy dangerous they are. You push your log just a bit too much and that thing catches your leg or hand you’re gonna be hurt bad. I hate splitting with a maul, it hurts my back. I use a hydraulic splitter that’s older than me that my dad’s had for 40 years and it works great. That screw type splitter might make the job 10% faster, but it’s not worth it to me to build one with the safety aspect involved

The Title only suggests Ben is going steps beyond FabRats. "No snow anymore on the mountain " How can that be??🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

My parents had a ‘64 Chev Impala when I was born. I remember my Dad often saying the 283 was the best engine GM ever made. Like the Dodge leaning tower of power, you just couldn’t kill them.

I agree, that 100% seems to be the most efficient single person wood splitter. The reverse aspect is ingenius and necessary. That Chopper 1 is good recyclable though. As Always, May God Bless you and yours!

Watching the old wood splitter was fun to watch. Sometimes the old equipment is the best.
