Ben I was sad at first about you not being on fab rats but now glad you do your on thing yall are so awesome to watch
My family did canning every year also.
That was some work.
Dad would enlist me, my friends to pick tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, peppers all sorts of vegetables for canning. Picking, washing, cutting, cooking and then we had to round up as many ball jars that we could find, clean and sterilized.
I know what a colander is. 🤔 Mom and Dad saved lots of money with canning.
Great video, thanks for bringing back memories of my youth.
👍🇺🇸✌️
WATERMELLON PICKELS OH MY
When I was a kid we had a huge family garden, my mom and aunts would can tomatoes and green beans for days in the late summer. Then applesauce in the fall. It takes me back...thanks.
I used to love canning season with my grandmother especially the pears because I got to eat the pears that didn't make it into the jars .we canned everything peas, greenbeans ,tomatoes and potatoes plus many other things .loving the channel glad Ben is home more now.
Tomatoes are a fruit. I've done a lot of canning in my life and now I find myself no more canning. You can order new knobs for your grill. I have to say that jump starter is awesome😊
Hey Ben and family. Good to see you all.
Topdon would be good for those with weak batteries in their mowers, tractors & UTV/ATV's
Gday guys

Ben greetings from CHIAPAS MEXICO.
I'd like to congratulate you for the fast growing that your channel is having, now you can really see that people really like you and your family.
Please don't get rid of your daughter's car cause it's a Toyota and those are bulletproof, just repair it or get a second hand gearbox and engine from a junkyard.
Many SALUTATIONS all the way from CHIAPAS. Keep eating jalapeños we love them here

Hey y’all from Mississippi awesome day to see y’all post made my day 👍👍👍👍👍👍👋👋👋👋👋
It does bring a smile seeing them post a video doesn't it. Some people just are easy to like it seems and want good things for. Have a great weekend Mississippi.
Tell the boys that wind needs to blow through the hay so when water gets in it doesn’t mold. Tent is better than wrap.
Canning in Utah seems non stop! between tomatato's apples peaches pears and apricots!
Goo-gone is also great on engine blocks 😁
Kids at school! 'Suckers'! We're eating steak! 😅 Nice content! Winters on it's way! And don't get sick of tomatoes! 👍
Canning was a big thing for us when I was a kid in the 70’s.
Pasta sauce was the main thing but bread and butter pickles and apple sauce were right up there. This time of the year the cold cellar filled back up.
My wife and I had a lot of tomatoes one year in our garden so we decided to give it a shot and make our own pasta sauce since my Mom had all the things we needed all we had to get was the jars.
For the mess involved doing it inside and what we got out of it we never did it again.
I realized then why my Italian friends families did it in giant pots on a burner in the garage.
Y'all are one hard-working family. Props.
Everyone loves Ben button
Put your onions in the freezer 30-45 minutes before you start cutting them. No more tears!
Welcome home Big Ben,I'm a mechanic in Nephi maybe we will meet one day
Now it's just a nice patina on the grill
Quick and easy project we use yearly here off grid is a modified 55 gallon steel drum made into a rocket stove for canning no issues with wind.. with Ben's "welding" skills he could whip it up...doesn't require any triangles so he's good...stay warm guys love the channel.
Canning is great, I did pasta sauce last week
16:45 Ben wants you to climb up there since there is no kids and make his goo gone??? 😬😁
Take the center out of the pepper wash them and stuff inside with your favorite cheese I use pepper jack and wrap bacon around top of pepper run tooth pik through and stand up in the pan bake in oven till bacon cook but soft cool and enjoy

Olight, prices, OMG, gonna need around 80% off. WOW,

Ben you need to make more vids, Miss ya.
A Tomato is a Fruit. The seeds are contained within and there is reminits of the flowering bud attached to the top of the fruit.
Tomatoes are a fruit because their acidic with seeds, great video doing winter prep & fixing vehicles thanks for sharing God bless ❤️😉👍
For Ben; Knowledge is knowing a Tomato is a fruit, knowledge is knowing it does not go in a fruit salad; wisdom is it goes on tacos
Before plastic pipe we would go through the metal drain pipes in the kitchen every fall when we did the tomatoes. We'd put up a few hundred quarts every year from our own garden. Sicilian household so we went through a lot of tomatoes.
When we made garlic pickles we'd toss a finger hot pepper or two in each jar to give them a little kick. When we canned the hot peppers we'd put an anchovy in each pepper in one third to half the jars.
Hanging and drying sausage to pack in mason jars that we filled with olive oil afterwards was for January/February. We'd make between 200 and 300 lbs. Since they were salt cured and packed in oil they were good for over a year without refrigeration. We made two types, Company Hot (yawn) and Family Hot (Oh Boy!). I suspect Ben might find the Company Hot a bit wimpy. I used an old thick circular saw blade to make a grinding plate with bigger holes for the meat grinder to get the texture right since when the meat is ground too fine it just doesn't taste the same.
Ben can soup up the bug light with an ignition transformer from an oil burner. That's what I used when I'd make up my own 1 to 2 acre bug zappers using an aluminum wash basin, two cake pans (mom caught me before I punched holes in them and made me go out to the Five and Dime to buy my own) and rabbit screen along with a handful of marbles from my kid brothers marble bag (I returned the marbles a few years ago when the last zapper finally died beyond resurrection). Oh and of course a ballast and a few fluorescent black lights.
I can sympathize with Ben when things don't sound right. It irks you until you track it down to see if its a just a problem and not A PROBLEM! Oh Nooo!
Best!
Nothing more exciting than watching someone can tomatoes....
You will love it that jumper pack. My son got me hooked on them so I mow have one for every vehicle. Works on anything with a battery.
Don't leave them out in cold below freezing or it will ruin the jumper pack.
We use to can quite a bit but we wicked up a vacuum sealer and freeze so much more now. Easier as you just cut up peppers, tomatoes, onions and such and bag then in the sealer nice and flat so they take less room in the freezer. I make lots of chilli for our adult kids and their families with them every couple weeks with minimal work and i find everything taste so fresh. I get not everyone can keep a large deep freeze running but for us it works good and it doesn't crowd our pantry with bottles. Last year i made our own pasta sause and bagged it then froze it and it worked our real good too. No worries about lids popping and such either. Wife still pickles so like I said space in the walk in pantry is at a premium. We keep enough food we would survive six months without access to anything else and it helps knowing you can help out your kids if they need it or provide comfort food as they are very busy with work, kids and such. Prepping in any way just makes sense now economically and with the world the way it is. Plus its healthier making your food from scratch. Nice seeing another full length video, maybe find someone close that you an colaberate with on more content to grow your channel, sure you already have been looking. You keep making videos and we will keep watching. Cheers from Canada guys.
What you said about prepping is: SPOT ON! 👍🫡
Central California watching
My sister down in Mississippi made soup canned veggie soup for me earlier this year. Today is the day I am going to cut up a Chuck roast brown it and let it make me a rue, makes some cornbread and have a wonderful meal on this 30 degree day. I still have 2 left. There is nothing better than homegrown canned tomatoes that you can make many meals out of! Hay stall, hay corral, hay ben, hay keeper, all good names the boys can call it! Keep the videos coming, Cox family! Til next time, take care, and we'll see you on the next. 😊
Gotta love the Jalapenos!!!! Cold onions help cut down on the tears effect of onions.
Your hay LOFT looks like it is goat proof.

Car still has a lot love in it, engine little tired😊
If it was can able, my mother and I would can it. We always had a large garden and if we didn't grow it ourselves, we went down to the valley and go the U-pick farms. My aunt and uncle were Alaska fishermen and would bring down a couple of big salmon each year. They were canned in half pint jars. We ate more salmon rather than meat. My Dad raised rabbits for meat also. This was before the advent of freezers so my Dad and neighbors would go together and rent a locker in town for deer and any other game.
Thanks for sharing .
For the lord hath redeemed his servant Jacob amen! God bless the b&m garage and all the family members.love Devo on the block.

My mom canned every fall when we lived on the farm. Not so much when we moved to town! I cut all my plants off and cleaned the yard for winter too!
I was just working on my daughter's car yesterday
What an awesome family 🤠
Getting ready for the weather changes 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
That's a whole-lot of tomato's there,😝, does anyone else get the boys mixed-up sometimes because they lookalike?,🤨, great video, and thanks for sharing guys.👍
They do look a lot alike for sure, that said they have quite the different personalities. They seem to get along very well which doesn't always happen which is nice. I would say while Ben was away so much they learnt to count on each other which is good for family. Nothing harder when a parent has to spend time away for work, its nice to see Bens entire family together. Lifes short, to many people find out to late how short it is and wish they had spent more time on the important things. I had a heart attack at 55 two year ago, the year after I spent 9 months working with my son helping him start his business. I enjoyed it more than anything i did on my own for years. Allowed us to hang out and without a reason. And no we were never astranged or anything, he just wanted ro do his own thing after school which meant moving about 2000 miles to follow a girl.. lol He moved home after a couple years, met a real nice woman got married and had a son.
Thanks for your time making the video watching from Reno NV
