Ben! I'm sure glad you weren't under the truck when it fell. I was under my 85 Chevy and it fell off the jack and broke my arm. I was lucky that's all that happened. Love the channel keep em coming buddy.👍👍😁

Best channel on RUclips. No "LS swapping" this, "LS swapping that" in every video like some other 'tubers.
Just a tip, always put a peice of plywood under your jackstands on gravel, keeps em from sinking .....I usually throw the tires under there too😊
Agreed! For the love of gasoline, please use some 3/4" osb or CDX plywood at least!!! Keep them legs from sinking in the gravel mud until you can get a concrete slab going.
Or, weld some 3/16" steel plates on the bottom of the jack stands. Big plates will help spread the load out.
Might be a good idea when working on your car or truck and you take the wheels and tires off, slide them under the vehicle just in case the jackstand fails or the floor jack rolls. Just extra precaution not to get hurt.
when is the container garage get a roof, back and front walls, a roll up garage door , concrete floor and a Challenger lift inside? Time for you to get out of the weather for all these jobs you do Ben!

i enjoy bens comical approach to doing things.. imo i think it goes to show that one's happy with and enjoys what they're doing if they can approach tasks like good ol Ben does.. not for nothing Airmaxx in mesa arizona sells a 580 model compressor its 200psi has a 100% duty cycle and if u add they're 3 gallon air tank with 5or6 ports u can add a quick connect next to the hitch ran into tank to run ur impact guns for changing wheels out or nail guns or airing up tires after offroading the 580 compressor is so much quieter and faster than that airlift one

Alas the falling off Jack stands is mostly due to working in Gods Garage. Had it happen a few times. Now I double up my Jack stands and put the tire under the wheel. Gravel and dirt hate jacks!
I used to put the wheel underneath to stop damage it worked a few time especially on a Monday morning

Should be the required scare for you to make a set of heavy duty dirt stands. I used a couple sections of 1/4 rectangle tube drilled holes every couple inches. And made the top tube slide into the bottom tube. Then I used a flat plate on a set of junk jeep wheels with tires still on them for the base everything was free scrap material. Basically the same thing pick and pull uses except adjustable instead of 2 wheels
I'd deck it myself. But I haul a fifth wheel regularly. Check places that install work boxes and such. Alot of the time they have a stack of boxes.

Nice to see you out on the sleds. Still waiting here in central Saskatchewan. Snow has never really shown up. Got out once about a month ago and that was it. Few trails are just starting to get groomed and opened up now. Still hoping we get some snow in March. Worst winter we’ve ever had for low snow levels. Hope you guys have a good time at the off-road games.

It’s a lot rusty because of the snow in Utah. No wrecking yards will sell the ones they have because of the rust. Frustrating.

You got that right. Many people don't see the value of what they call junk. About 30 years ago I stopped for a car stalled on the edge of our small town late on a cold January night. A man and young son were heading to a hockey jamboree (Minnesota) and at this point wouldn't probably make it. A formed hose with a 90 degree bend was split open. My friend had a dumpster of old parts behind his repair shop which I dug through and actually found a hose that only required some trimming. Installed it and will never forget the joy on their faces when it ran like a top. Moral of the story: don't throw everything away !

Ben is that aluminum jack is it an Harbor Fright jack? I ask this because every winter I have to return my. Then have to purchase another warrant. I have to keep buying this one because I live with a broken bone in my back and have to be aware of that. I don't want to have another surgery on my back.

I normally work alone on my stuff so the cell phone is a hands reach away just in case my truck drops on any extremities. But if it's on my chest, I'll be gone within 5 minutes

I don't know if you and paul parted on bad terms that's none of my business. My brother and I had a tif. He said he didn't want to talk to me no more, so we didn't speak for 3 years and in my meditation after prayer the Spirit moved me to contact my brother so I called him, he was glad to hear from me we got every thing all patched up. We made plans to get together in better weather, he died from pneumonia 2 weeks after we talked . Life hardly ever goes like you planned.

At your age it’s a shame you don’t have a garage to work in man, I hope you at least get a roof to work under and some concrete to lay on. I’m in my mid-30’s and I already can’t stand working on my back in the gravel anymore lol. Hope you build a garage when the house is done, or at least a little pole barn with a roof and some concrete.

the jack stands and ladders need to be on a solid surface. Bad things can happen, very happy no one got hurt and the vehicle wasn't damaged, chineesium parts are the worst.

You need some plywood squares or pavers under your jack stands on gravel or dirt. That's a lot of weight on a very soft base. Ideally, you pour a concrete pad big enough for a car or truck. I think snowmobiling is like downhill skiing: If you never fall down, you just aren't trying hard enough.
