- We had a field Marshall show up at our antique tractor pulls and I figured some of y’all might want to learn how they are started using the shotgun shell method. You can also hand crank them, but let’s face it the shotgun method is just way too cool!!
As a Brit I spent many hours as a kid riding with my uncle on a Field Marshall crawler. The unmistakable sound of that single cylinder engine could be heard a long way off. Classic, thank you to all involved.
Thanks for watching - I’ve never seen a crawler in person only a couple wheeler tractors.
That is super cool! Thanks for sharing Nathan. I have yet to see one in person
Always found it fascinating how some things are started.. seen many videos of it, never seen one in person.
Thank you Nathan 👍
Morning Ed - thanks for watching, it was something to see in person alright, that’s why I figured I better get a little video made of how they are started.
That's awesome Nathan! 😁👍
Thanks good buddy!
Now that's a great idea for a shotgun shell instead of killing things!
Take it your not a hunter

Thanks Nathan very cool nice to see it go off with a bang😂
I love watching those get started
Bloody old things! I don’t know who’d own one (bow’s head in shame) 👀
Watching sir
That's pretty cool. Have you seen them do that on a prop plane?
Only in videos never in person
Thanks Nathan for sharing. Things you can do with an egg carton..........
And they say that old tractors aren’t environmentally friendly lol
Hey Nathan! It's been a while. Those old Field Marshalls are waaaay cool!
Howdy Matt - yes it has been a while, work is certainly keeping me from the things I enjoy most in the summer this year. Thanks for watching
Is the shotgun shell a blank? If not, where does the shot and wad etc go? Thanks for sharing.
It’s just full of powder buddy - good question.
@@ironman3406 i figured as much. Thanks!
@@lukestrasser The cartridge is filled with 20 grains of FFF pyrodex against the primer and 170 grains of 4831 rifle powder
@@ironman3406 awesome! Good looking out, now I can start making them myself!
Omg😊
