@@moments_with_IH yes. There are a few ways to do it. Using a separate left and right cable, you can set up two different return blocks or do a single l/r return block. Either was, as long as there aren’t any mono blocks after it, you should be good.
Hey Defcon, How do you like the Mission Engineering power supply with the stomp? so it allows you to be completely battery powered correct? also which model is the supply
I use the Mission Engineering 529HC power supply almost exclusively with my stomp with a battery power bank. I’ve been using it for perhaps around a year or so.
I’ve used two means to connect my iPhone to the helix. The first is a headphone adapter and a hosa 1/8 inch trs to dual ts cable. The second is the camera connection kit and a usb b to usb a cable.
Im trying to get this working on a Helix LT but it doesnt have AUX IN as a Return Type. Im using Android with camera kit through the Helix LT USB input socket.
@@DefconClark Yep all that works. Someone mentioned that the problem is in Android. So ill have to try an ios when i find one to see if that sorts it out.
@@DefconClark I think the name aux is misleading on the Helix as it is mono. I use it for acoustic guitars, but I was hoping i could use it for stereo in-ear purposes. Not so.
Really kickass thanks ,but did it help ? I don’t know cause now i have all these extra options i didnt know lol, but really appreciate your hard work 😊🎉😊
Just what I was looking for. Thanks man.
Helped a lot… Thanks
Thanks very much for explanation. Really useful advice - just what I needed 👌👍
Really helpful, thanks a lot 👍🏽
Awsome thankyou
What type and brand of usb cable do you use?
Which way produces a better sounding out of the HX Stomp? Aux In or USB? Thanks
thanks
Thanks bro!!
🤘
thanks! helped :)
Thanks! If I were to split up the audio, would it sound as if it were split in headphones?
Not necessarily. If you have a mono input block, it will be the same thing out of both headphones.
@@DefconClark and if it were stereo, it would be in stereo as well, correct?

Hi, great video, thanks. Do you know how you could connect a boss RC5 and be able to listen with the headphones of the hxstomp?
I would put the rc5 in the fx loop of the stomp, place it last in the signal chain to monitor it through the stomp.
@@DefconClark Thanks for answering. That's what I did, but I have other pedals in the fx loop as well. Could I have two fx loops? Thanks
Yes, you need a trs to dual ts splitter to go from the send to the left and right returns. You can use it in stereo or separate mono loops.
@@DefconClark Thank you so for the information. It has been very helpful! 🤘🏻
Does the usb work with Android?

What kind of cord are you using to connect the iPhone to the stomp?

is there a way to still control the volume using your iPad/iPhone?
If you use analog inputs, then yes. If using audio over usb, there is a global usb volume in the settings.
Thanks dude

Hye sir, this method can use also for Line6 pod go??
Yes, check out my channel. I have a video about that very topic!
Would you show how to record helix output with iPhone?
I can put something together.
do you use power bank to power hx stomp?
Yes, in this video, I used my mission engineering 529HC and a usb power bank. It’s been a great power supply over the years.
Hi! The usb of HX / Helix / Pod Go charge the Iphone?
It will not charge the phone.
Im trying to get this working on a Helix LT but it doesnt have AUX IN as a Return Type. Im using Android with camera kit through the Helix LT USB input socket.
Usb works well. You could also use the fx returns, unless you’re using them for other pedals.
@@DefconClark Yep all that works. Someone mentioned that the problem is in Android. So ill have to try an ios when i find one to see if that sorts it out.
If you knew how easy this is on the Boss GX100….. This works, but is too messy for most I’m afraid. Line 6 needs to update this box already….
Hi Defcon, how can do this with an hx effects? Thanks.
I don’t own the hx effects. However, the principle should be the exact same, in theory.
Doesn’t helix has an aux input?
It does. It is a mono input which could work for this under certain circumstances.
@@DefconClark I think the name aux is misleading on the Helix as it is mono. I use it for acoustic guitars, but I was hoping i could use it for stereo in-ear purposes. Not so.
Given how many people use backing tracks, it should be easier than this.

I’m going to start an option paralyzes support group!
