Best video on Lightroom and Photoshop Export Settings for Instagram. I have watched like 20 videos and not one was useful. You have explained very well with an example. Subscribed and liked :)
See, this is why I'm a Patreon of this man. Some of THE best information about effects and CC use is given on this page. I'm not even a heavy Instagram user, but now I'm thinking of it as a vehicle for some of my more "serious" work.
Thanks a lot for your support 😊 🙏 👌🏻
Have a wonderful day!
The tutorial I didn't know I needed. Extremely useful and helpful, thanks a lot.
You're very welcome 😊
Lightroom for Edit then PS for resize and export.... works really good... thank you...this is the only ''tutorial'' that works
You're welcome.
Man honestly what will we do without you. Just bravo
Thanks! I just created a new private account to test it and... wow... This is what I needed! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
You're very welcome!
Nemanja Sekulic helo! I also have a private account,i did exactly like you said, and after 3 days the quality of the photo is not sharp and clear .there is a solution? 🙏🏼
Finally a proper detailed tutorial! Thank you!!
You're very welcome.
AWESOME video! Thank you very much, Nemanja!
You're very welcome.
Finally the best of the best explanation. Thank you
You're very welcome!
Thanks so much! Just the help I was looking for. Happy 2021!
Thankyou man👊😎🔥 i apreciate that
Best video on the subject on RUclips by far. Thanks for sharing.
Great tutorial!
This video was amazing! I’m trying to get my pictures to fit perfect on Instagram and this video should help! 👍🏾
I'm glad that you like it.
Nice tutorial. Do you edit in 8 bit or 16?
Very Helpful Nemanja
Thanks 😉
@@NemanjaSekulic Hey nemanja, one more thing, is it bad if i bump a little bit the quality to something like 80-90 or it'll be worse?
Thank you for the great tutorial. Clean, crisp, and actually helpful.
You're very welcome.
Cheers for that, finally a clear and to the point explanation/tutorial, much appreciated!
You're welcome.
👍👍
This is the video I've been searching for! Thank you sir!!! Only question is if I use square aspect ratio for Lightroom should I pick length and height instead of long or short edge? Then use 1080? Thanks in advance!
Thank you, I've just started looking at IG. This will help a lot.
You're very welcome.
Thank you very helpful
Idemo dalje 😉
Veliki pozdrav!
Great video thank you. But once you have your photo exported and saved on your computer, what is the best way to get it uploaded to instagram? I'm tired of dropping all my photos into Google Drive, then opening it on my phone and saving to my pictures then uploading to instagram. Isn't there an easier way?
I do it with airdrop, or send anywhere website...
Very helpful, Nemanja! Thanks!!!
You're welcome.
Thank you for explaining all this! :)
The library photo it's so great📷
Thanks a lot 👌🏻 😊
Very helpful stuff - especially the magic number 76! - for when I (one day) get serious with Instagram. Thanks a lot, Nemanja!
You're very welcome my friend!
Great video very helpful
Thanks.
This is Most Helpful tutorial 👍🏻 Thank you ✌🏻
I think that for this I don't decide miself to having an Instagram account hahaha. Really I have nothing interesting to show by the moment although grateful for you advices and you teachings for the day when I decide to do it. Excellent tutorial Nemanja
Thanks a lot Rafael. Wish you a great weekend.
Liked your library photo. 10/10
Thanks.
Good tips, thanks for sharing...
You're welcome.
Once you have the picture how do you upload it to instagram? Do you need to send it to your phone? through mail or something?
thanks for tutorial
good tutorial!thx
You're welcome.
Thank you, thank you, thank you !!!!!!!
Thank you for this video. Very helpful.
You're very welcome.
Now that you saved your file (thanks for all the info btw), how should I transfer the photo to my phone? AirDrop, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc? What's the best way or it doesn't matter?
It doesnt matter i use gmail and the pictures comes w/ the original quality
It doesn't matter at all.
@@NemanjaSekulic Thank you for the reply! What about image resolution? When I'm about to save my project, the automatic resolution is 240. What are your tips for that?
For instagram 72dpi
76, 76, 76... will give this a go, thanks Mr S
You're very welcome.
Very good tutorial
Love from India💖
😊
If i shoot with adobe rgb in my camera do i should convert it to srgb before i color grading it in lightroom or after i color grading it..?
thanks!its amazing!!
dude just what i needed, thanks!
Some really useful info, Great Vid!
Thanks.
great video! just a quick question... at 13:26 you say the resolution is fine at 72 pixels per inch, why?
thanks for the great content!
Thanks. The 72dpi is more the fine for the web.
thank you ..this was very helpful
You're very welcome.
Hello sir @nemanja seculic, i would like to ask you about color in my monitor laptop, im using asus x550ik, with processor AMD FX-9830P RADEON R7, RAM 8 GB, with 1080P FHD LED display. So the question is, the color on my monitor laptop, different with my color sreen on my smartphone, what am i suppose to do? Many suggestion, i have to make calibration color? But its not solve my problem, could u help me please to fix my problem sir?
I've got the same problem. I don't understand why , and how to fix the problem.. I used a monitor calibration but it doesn't work.
The phone screen and computer monitor have a different screen, and different calibration. So it is normal not to see the same colors. If you use more expensive monitors with wide color gamut, you can get more accurate colors after calibration. Also on more expensive phones you have more accurate colors.
My monitor and iPhone has pretty same colors. Of course, the monitor is more accurate.
Hi Nemanja, are there any updates about this or you're still exporting the same way as this tutorial?:) (especially the 76% quality) Thanks, much love
Very very helpful!!!
I'm glad that you like it.
Nemanja Sekulic loved it♥️
Hi sir if this settings still stand today? thank you so much!
I don't understand . I've posted some photos on my test account and it looks great! They look sharp and look very good quality wise. 4 days later when I go back to check on em , the photos look compressed , I reposted the photos and there's a visible difference. What do I do here?
I'm not sure why is this happening. I personally have never seen this before.
You're my go too guy if I need to know anything lol. Your name basically pop as click to type lol awesome as always
Thanks a lot Jordan! Have a great day.
very useful as usual :) thanks
You're very welcome.
Very detailed tutorial but correct me if I'm wrong, the "long edge" corresponds to the longest edge of the image regardless if it is in portrait or landscape.
Yes, exactly.
Bravo Maestro!
Thanks.
Great video. Question: The IG template that you used in the demo where can I find this? I think its a good idea to use it to see what the post would look like before posting to IG.
Thanks. I have took snapshot form instagram and made a template for that example. Nothing special.
helo! I have a private account to check photos ,i did exactly like you said, and after 3 days the quality of the photo is not sharp and clear .there is a solution? 🙏🏼 why it’s happening?
i have the same problem , did you find a solution ?
Awesome photos !
Thanks.
Sensei! thank you very much
You're welcome.
I’m trying to upload a Snapchat photo and resize for social media. But, unfortunately snapchat photos are really long and never fit and, I don’t want to have to crop it so it gets cut off. Nor do I want those white borders!😫 any suggestions? This is so hard to try to fit the full-size photo with the dimensions I’m up against. Please help🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻(I’m on iOS) not desktop.
well, cheers to your explanation, seriously a good one. but my doubt is I created my artwork in illustrator file, took it to photoshop and then saved it. when I uploaded to Instagram it changed its colors, this happens even if I save my artwork directly from illustrator to jpeg. why does this happen?
You need to change the color profile first to sRGB, then save it.
@@NemanjaSekulic sure I'll try that once. Hope you post up a tutorial on that. Thank you so much. ♥️
👏👏👏 thank you thank you
You're very welcome.
Thank you!
You're welcome Pauline!
Instagram must have some size limit threshold for whether to compress or not. I wonder if you could test multiple file sizes to find the exact threshold in KB.
I wish I could know that. Ot would be even better.
@@NemanjaSekulic after some quick research, I found this site that states "1600 kb" as the limit, but does not explain how they arrived at that number. I have not tested this. www.wimarys.com/quality-photo-export-instagram/
Yes, I saw that too.. But not sure about it. And image size depends on the amount of information in the frame... So not only on pixels size... But thanks anyway😊
Will photos with a maximum width of 1080px still look good for people using Instagram on a large screen tablet / pc?
It should.
Great ttutorial'
Thanks.
Clearly explained. Love the alley encounter image - is that where you lost your wristwatch and got the finger cut (bandaid)?😀. After reading the Instagram terms of use, I opted not to join. You give Instagram broad license to use your posted images (whole or part) any way they want - and without payment to you, or even attribution.
Thanks Paul. Yes, unfortunately that's is for instagram and Facebook too. They can use your images. But thanks to instagram, I got few really good jobs 😊
I cut the finger repairing water heater 😅
YEEEES! Thank You!!!
You're welcome.
you are the best of the best
Thanks.
One more great advice!
Thanks a lot my friend 😊
Is 600KB file size okay for Instagram? Or I should reduce more?
Amazing
Thanks.
thanks!
Good work
Thanks
Can I do this with an app? I don’t have a laptop
Very interesting!
Thanks!
Pozdrav Nemanja.
👍👍👍
Dobro objasnjeno 😊
Hvala!
You look like Eden Hazard ........Thanks for some great info
hey thank you for this tutorial. I've got one question : I don't understand why my colors are different on my computer and on all the phones I use to check my instagram account : I bought a monitor calibration Xrite display, I convert my picture on SRGB , I use the 1080*1350 px, format JPEG and very high Quality (80), bicubic sharper, but with all these parameters , the colors on my phone or others phones are bad , it's the same thing... if you can help please. Because I can't use photoshop and show my work if the colors are not, what what I would like them to be .. I want to precise : when I see with my phone the work of others photoshop artist on instagram or web, the colors are so great, beautiful .
Monitor and phone screen are different. They don't have the same calibration profile. That's normal. I don't know how different the colors are, but on my phone and my monitor they are pretty close.
@@NemanjaSekulic thank you to take your time to answer me ! Ok so maybe it's normal. They are.close but this is not what I want :)
I'm a newbie to instagram (yeah, sounds funny nowadays). So, I undestood that it has just 2 formats - either 1:1, or 4:5. And I have to crop my images anyway, right?
No no. You can use almost any aspect ratio. But 4:5 and 1:1 are the most visibel in a feed because your photo will bigger (will use all screen real estate)
@@NemanjaSekulic hmm... but while uploading with my tablet, I have only these two options, the image gets cropped anyway... well, 4:5 is not so bad though
If you don't want to go in and change long edge and short edge you can leave it on width and height and set the width to 1080px and leave the height blank and export, it will always come out 1350 x 1080
Do the same settings still apply now in 2020?
I think so. Instagram didn't changed anything.
Poz, da li ces praviti tutoriale za After effects?
Zdravo Sofija, neću raditi AE.
Ok, useful but one big gap that i see in these kind of tutorials is that you crop de photo to suit Instagram, so intagram decides how your photography should be. As I always take classic 35 mm format 3×2, would be very useful how to export this size without losing much definition. I try to put a white square of 1080x1080 but its a mess and de quality very poor. Thanks!
Thank you so much
You're very welcome.
i love you!
Does the file resolution matter if it is set to 300 or should it be set to 72 for instagram?
72 for web in general. 300 doesn't make any senses for web.
@@NemanjaSekulic Thanks Nemanja!
Can use this setting for facebook?
nice
Nice. 😀
Thanks 😉 👍🏻
@@NemanjaSekulic No problemo 😂
In the Instagram export, would changing the resolution have any effect?
I'm not sure that I understand you...
@@NemanjaSekulic in Lightroom export. The Image Sizing tab has a spot for the image resolution. Would that not matter for exporting to Instagram? Sorry if I am not being clear.
You can set on 72 dpi
I’m a bit surprised their board members don’t decide to introduce different membership levels. Because if I was the main executive I would suggest three different paid membership levels. Basic where if you pay £30 a year, you have unlimited storage and the compression system won’t resize shots with a long width of 1920. Advanced with a price of £60 where you can have a long width of 2560 and unlimited space. Lastly if you want the top tier that is priced at £90, you can have a resolution that resembles 4K and unlimited space.
please help i did eveything in the video in photoshop but ig still downsized my picture any help?
They have probably change it something again... For me still works.
This channel is so amazing! Congrats for another brilliant tutorial. Always learning your amazing work. Success boss! ( Check Link in the bio - woman's voice "stories on Instagram" lol ) Those was so funny and cool Nemanja. Big hug from Brazil!
Thanks a lot. I'm glad that you like it. Greetings to Brazil!
will long edge 1350 for portrait still works?
yes, because in a 4:5 ratio you will automatically get 1350x1080. Use your brain :)
What are system requirements for Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC?
Check it out on the Google.
i did everything you said but my photos keep appearing desaturated on instagram, iphone, ect.
are you photos in srgb?
@@covertperspective yes, mine too what should I do?
For exporting make sure you convert your photos to sRGB and to 8bit. Otherwise the colours will change.
Pls cn yhu do a tutorial on photoshop premier pro.. Tanks
Not for now...
Owk.. Buh alwax remember dis... Yhu ar stil d best
Thanks.
