I’ve had the 50# black hunter longbow and recurve with bamboo core limbs for 2 years and both are fantastic. I do favor the longbow’s narrower profile limbs and it’s overall shape and form. Performance has been very similar and arrow speed identical. I did find that messing with the brace height by adjusting a half twist at a time was the key to finding the perfect tune…especially the longbow. It was amazing how group size shrunk. Your limbs are bamboo core. The 485 grain 400 spine arrows chronographed 181 FPS at 28”DL 50#s which I feel is very good performance. These bows are such a great value! Thanks for the review!
Thank you so much for stopping by for your feedback and support I really appreciate it. Yes I would have to say these are one of the nicest bows out they’re on the market for the price. Bamboo is what the cores usually are and the handle what they call "Diamond Wood" which is a bunch of material laminated together and the handles are really nice... I own two of these bows... the longbow version and the recurve version and longbow version had two sets of limbs... one set for practicing at lower draw weight and another set for hunting for the longbow version. My recurve version is set up for hunting. I can own eight of these bows for the price of a good bow of a name brand... and shoots just as good... also know how to improve these bows a bit if they are not perfect and easy to work with. Really nice mass produced bows. My longbow version has no labels at all on it.... the recurve version has "Black Hunter" on the riser... any way well worth the money in my opinion as well. Adding Fastflight strings also improves the bow a lot... in my opinion but every archer has their own preferences for shooting. Wish you the best and thanks for the video review you did.
Thank you for stopping by and taking time to comment I truly appreciate it. Yes I love this bow I now have around 6 and I got 1 for my son and 1 for his fiancé. Hi, I am pretty sure the limbs are bamboo cored, I know my bow has bamboo limbs, I bought two sets of limbs for mine, 55lbs for hunting and 35lbs. for playing around. I paid $160.00 Canadian including shipping for all, and am very happy with it. My bow shoots 215 fps at 28" draw with the 55 lb. limbs, no stacking and a smooth draw and like you said very nice hand grip.
Yes sir very true the hand group is amazing. I am very very impressed with this bow for the price you just cannot beat it. I’m glad to hear that you really enjoy yours as well, are both sets of your limbs long bow or recurve, I do believe mine are bamboo and I am very pleased with them the boat seems really fast quiet now and smooth. I’m a big fan of the bamboo thanks for stopping by I really appreciate your feedback and comments it means a lot hope you subscribe to the channel take care and God bless.
@@LukeMcMullin . Yes sir I do have to agree I have the reflex deflects long bow limbs as well and They are very hard-hitting and fast thanks again my friend take care and God bless.
I just bought two of these Longbows. The string measurement with the one, a 40 pound pull was 57 3/4 inches. The other a 30 pound pull was 57 1/4 inches. That was the strings that came with these bows. Yet the information that I got, with a bow measurement as this one is, 60 inch AMO, the string length was listed as 56 inches. But I am being told that if the bow is AMO 60 inches that the string length should be 3 inches shorter making it 57 inches. On the recurve bows, an AMO 60 inch bow, the string measurement is 4 inches shorter making it 56 inches on the recurve bows only. So for the Black Hunter Longbow I still am unsure as to what size string is required. Can I use a 56 inch string? Would that be dangerous to do if it really requires a 57 inch string? What I have at this point decided to do, is buy some custom strings at a measurement of 57 inches and hope that works out.
You could possibly get away with it depending on how much the string stretches, and what the actual brace height comes up to be when you string the bow up I would not go over the recommended brace height on its top end. I hope this helps take care my friend God bless.
I'm new to this but assumed a 56" string for 60" bow works as a new string will stretch allittle so not to worry bout length and just check brace height when u string

I wish Mandarin Duck had that or even the Phantom in a left handed set up . The Phantom would have been what I got instead of my Amazon bow ,but I guess I needed to get used to shooting again before I put more than $40 in a bow . Thanks for your videos

Adventures of Frank and Tina. Yes sir it hits pretty hard wish I had a chronograph to check the speed. Maybe some company will sponsor me and send me one to promote LOL 😂 😂 😂 Take care my friend God bless.
Hi Guys; In regard to the fit of the limbs, I suspect that to keep the price low that the limbs are made to a pattern. I don't believe that they are actually fitted to the riser. The riser is probably made the same way, However; that doesn't affect the function of the bow at all. From all the reviews I have seen on this bow, it appears to be a very good, even if it is an inexpensive bow. Thanks for your video.
Yes sir I would have to agree with you. But man I’m really glad they made the bow it is a great bow for the money and it shoot really nice and fast. I would definitely recommend his bow to anyone that is the longbow. I have not shot the recurve so I could not say the same for that but definitely a big 👍🏼 up on the long bow. Thank you so much for stopping by I really appreciate your feedback and support take care and God bless. 👍🏼🏹🇺🇸
Yeah, it's true about the end grain of bamboo looking like lots of tiny dots with a darkish ring. Take a pic and compare it to a Google pic of bamboo end grain. I think the bamboo limbs are a little bit faster than the maple.
Well, Ka-a-Bonga! I just figured out where your comment section is. No wonder I couldn't see people's comments. It's at the bottom, under recommended videos. Yep, Hutchie is the one who convinced me to buy that bow, And then, I had seen your reviews. Unfortunately, I did not get the great deal you did. Oh, well, I had been afraid to try ordering from Alibow Archery again, so it's all good. Great review.
Ron's Archery. Thank you sir I really appreciate it. I think you’re really going to enjoy, it is a really nice Bow minus the string it is loud and quite a bit of vibration not truly a hand shock but more like when you use a tuning fork kind of vibration but I think once you get a decent string that would go away thanks again take care and God bless.
Thank you for stopping by and for your feedback I appreciate it. Mine is a 50# and I’m shooting a 400 spine with an 80g, 100g, and 125g. They all shoot very well, I do not do very much tuning of arrows, I pretty much just go by the poundage of the boat in the woods find the arrow is rated for on their recommended chart for the aero you are purchasing. i’m sure you could go to an 800 spine or even 1000 as long as you put enough weight out front so your arrow is not under the grains per pound, I don’t think it is a good thing to be under because to me it is like dry firing the bow. I hope this helps take care and God bless.
Blows my mind that you got it for 50$. I do have a question though as a rookie archery that has never used silencers. Do you silence those type of strings the same way you apply fur silencers to Flemish twist strings? I can never seem to find tips of adding fur silencers to endless loop strings.
Yes sir I could not believe it when I want it for $50 I was definitely shocked after receiving the bow and shooting it I can truly say it was the best $50 I’ve ever spent on a bowl most definitely it was well worth it. Yes I do it pretty much the same way on the Flemish twist as I do with a endless loop. I just divide my strands in half and stick the silencer in between. But for a endless loop that you were not putting any twist in whatsoever I still divide my string in half and then I just tie it on Believe it or not with a piece of dental floss. I hope this helps if you have anymore questions feel free to ask, thanks for again for stopping bye I really appreciate it hope you subscribe take care and God bless.
Thank you very much sir I really appreciate it. I’m sure you’re really going to enjoy the bow, the grip is just phenomenal the bow sits just write in your hand, an amazing shooting bow he truly cannot beat it for the price. I think it rates right up there with the high-end bows myself. Thanks again for stopping by appreciate your comments and feedback hope you subscribe to the channel, take care and God bless. 👍🏼🏹🇺🇸

All I can say is th these are their recommendations. Weight 1.4 kg Draw Weight (lbs.) at 28“ 30lb, 35lb, 40lb, 45lb, 50lb, ... Max Draw Length (in.) 31 Overall Length (in.) 60. Or !!!!!!!! Weight 1.4 kg Draw Weight (lbs.) at 28“ 30lb, 35lb, 40lb, 45lb, 50lb, ... Max Draw Length (in.) 28 Overall Length (in.) 60. So as you can see there are two different recommendations but all I can say is I have a 29 1/2 inch drawl and I do not have any issues at all with stacking or you can say finger pinching, Hope this helps take care God bless.
Yes the bow is slinging out pretty fast. That recurve type riser is really better. I believe your arrows might be slightly under spined. It seems they are tending to the right and yes, that looks like bamboo. That is a smoking deal. Go to a lighter tip and pick up the speed and stiffen the arrow👍🇺🇸
Shootin' with Uncle Dan. I’m using a 400 spine arrow right now and I think I’m around 100 grain tip abouand a 32” length arrow. I’m looking for a set a recurve limbs if I can get them for a good price Oregon if he happens to put a recurve on and I can get The whole bottle for around the same price that would be fantastic thanks again uncle Dan I appreciate it take care and God bless. 👍🏼🏹🇺🇸

I love that bow , grip is great, mine is at 7 “1/2 brace height and small fur silencers. Shoots great. Limbs are bamboo ( you are right, you can see little dimples at the end of the limbs ) with maple wedges ( dark brown ) and fibreglass laminate. Greetings from Canada. Take care :)
Pierre. So how does yours sound at 7 1/2” did you get a new string or just put on some string puffs. Im really glad they came with the bamboo. Take care my friend God bless.👍🏼👍🏼🏹
Sig Man Archery I shot it quite a bit with the original string at 7 1/2 ( it looks and feels like some kind of dyneema ) I put fur silencers ( diameter 1 1/2 “ ) at 10 “ from tips . It was Ok , low frequency sound , no hand shock . Then put in a D-97 16 strands continuous loop string it feels better( its better quality than the original) sound is the same , in fact I like the sound its like a “ thug “. The bow is quite fast. I shoot a 35# with light carbon arrows and they fly. I shoot field archery in the woods its quite accurate up to 25 yards . Really like this bow ,it looks good and the grip for me is perfect. Take care and good shootin !
Pierre. Yes sir I do agree I like the sound that it makes for me at 8” I will shoot it for a while with the string I am not hunting so the noise really is not that big of an issue. I really do like the bow and the grip is fantastic, i’m really glad I got it, again thank you for your feedback and support. Take care and God bless.
Sig Man Archery Thank you and to you the same. I will be trying my hand at making D-97 flemish strings ( 14 strands ) for that bow. Will start first without silencers and see what happens, but i really dont mind the sound it has come down with the new string ( the continuous loop ) and I have worked quite a bit on my release which might have an effect. Once I will have experimented with the Flemish string I will give you feedback. Have a nice spring and take care. :)
I was wondering ...( sorry for my prolific writing spree ) have you checked your tiller ? My BH recurve has a almost even tiller , my BH longbow has a slight negative tiller about 1/8 “ ( I shoot Mediterranean, split finger ) and my girlfriend’s bow is positive very slightly at + 1/16 “ . But the sound on all three bows is almost the same , low frequency and very slight I’d say almost quiet ( but I’m no hunter, turkeys here routinely walk about in front of my target of my target , I think they have a favorite path there...) but all three bows are set at 7 1/2 “ brace height and all have fur silencers. The longbow has a high quality D 97 string the two other have the original string. The longbow seems more quiet , dont know if its the string or the limbs ( thinner in width ? ) OK I have to go , a lot of chainsaw work... Take care :)

You need to lose that horrible string. The bow will be almost silent with a decent string and you'll get rid of any vibration you are experiencing. Mine is at it's best at 7 1/2 inch.

I wish Mandarin Duck had that or even the Phantom in a left handed set up . The Phantom would have been what I got instead of my Amazon bow ,but I guess I needed to get used to shooting again before I put more than $40 in a bow . Thanks for your videos

Hi Guys;
In regard to the fit of the limbs, I suspect that to keep the price low that the limbs are made to a pattern.
Incorporeal. I’ll do thank you for stopping by I appreciate it hope your doing well take care and God bless.👍🏼👍🏼🏹
What is the bow draw wt.? They say a 500 spline & 175 gr tip flies the best from these bows. What do you think?
Great video. I ordered one with the bamboo limbs. Thanks for sharing.
Can you tell me how its tilled
@@dr4bones10 Very sorry, but I’m not sure what you were asking? Try riding again and just give me a little bit more detailed what you’re asking and I will try to help. Thanks. 🙏🏼
@sigmanarchery54 I'm asking if the bow is positive or evenly tilled. In other words is it designed to be shot split finger or 3 under.
@ it’s a positive tiller, but I have shot mine 3 under with no problems.
I’ve got 11 of these bows all different makers, I have given some as gifts and know one
Has had any issues hope this helps. 🙏🏼
Where you bought for 50 bucks for a bow?
I got it of eBay. And man I was lucky it’s a really really nice bow, this is Worth a lot more if you can get one for around $100 you would still be getting a super great deal. Thank you very much for subscribing I really appreciate it.
Nice review, great bow for the money, just don’t expect a $1000 bow for $100!
For sure. But man I will say I’m truly impressed with this bow, it is a fantastic shooting bow and it feels so good in my hand.

Weight 1.4 kg

Max Draw Length (in.) 31
Overall Length (in.) 60.

The original Black Hunters had maple limbs and the newer ones have bamboo.
I’m glad I got the bamboo it’s a great bow very pleased, thank you so much for stopping by we truly appreciate ya take care and GOD BLESS. 👍🏼🏹🇺🇸

Nice bow but yeah, was not expecting it to be that loud.
Karl Ruedger. Yes it is loud but it sure sounds better with the higher brace height and once I get a new string and some puff balls I think it will quite Wright down. Take care my friend God bless 👍🏼👍🏼🏹
Is that bow good for hunting deer or boar?

Thank you It’s a fantastic bow I love it a great shooter for sure.👍🏼
