    Excellent review and great shooting. Love the two bows at the end ;) his and hers. I just got the new square limbs version also 45@28" and it is a shooter. I've had many excellent bows over the years. This one is every bit as good as the best ones I've had. I prefer the look of the original limbs but the new ones are apparently (idiot proof) so people don't mix them up installing the bottom limb on top etc...On the new bow they're identical and completely interchangeable. I missed the part (a bit noisy) where you talk about using a fast flight. I don't think my limb ends are as beefed up to use these strings.

    I'm really happy to hear this, I've been looking at bows because I really enjoyed doing it when I went to summer camp and this is one of the ones I was looking at. Plus I see from your other videos that we live in similar parts of Canada so I don't have to worry much about any shipping or issues. Thank you for this review! :)

      Chuck, you will love this bow , take your time, learn it, replace the string asap they are not great. My wife is actually one of north America's premier flemish string builders, she makes beautiful, quiet and fast strings ! Look her up on Facebook at st.lawrence strings, and on Instagram st.lawrence _strings send her a dm and she will set you up!
      Enjoy the bow 7 5/8ths to 7 3/4s is the optimum brace height , 5/8" nock height

    I've had my MD Black Hunter recurve for about 18 months now and love shooting it ordered the longbow limbs about a month ago and they arrived yesterday wow they are great so smooth and easy to draw.
    Only been able to shoot it in the garden so far but taking it up to the field tomorrow can't wait, I have a White Feather bow which cost about 4 times the price but much prefer shooting the Black Hunter so smoooooooth !

    • @110adventures7
      @110adventures7 4 года назад +1

      @@psary644 I really haven't been able to shoot it much due to the bat flu but it's smooth to draw and much more accurate than me. I found it easier to draw than the recurve but I don't think it's as fast.
      But really glad I have it, I have fitted it with a Grisly Jim string which quieten it down and I think it's speeded up the arrow flight.
      Awesome bow for the money with either the recurve or longbow limbs.

    I ordered one of these... since I have a lot of other bows, crossbows, rifles, etc. Watched a lot of reviews and will try it for Turkey hunting this year, with Flu Flu arrows... and maybe deer if I like the bow enough to do that... I actually prefer my Mongolian Horse Bow but will see how I like this Black Hunter Bow... I subscribed to your channel and hoping to find videos of people actually hunting with these... if you know of any post a link... thanks and wish you the best in your archery... by the way I use crossbows and rifles and I have a very expensive rifle that has laminated wood that is exactly like the riser on this bow so for display will put those out at times just because the bow and rifle match... of course my rifle has a stainless steel barrel with nickel plating for all weather and cold conditions with a very high power scope on it... beautiful gun. Have a lot of guns as well... and now that I was forced to retire after loosing my left leg in 2018 but finally able to string a bow several months back in 50 pound draw... took a while for all that and my carbon fiber and titanium left leg... nice to be able to still load a recurve with a string... and ordered even more arrows in carbon fiber at 300 and 340 spine to see how they will do on this bow in a camouflage pattern... will see... have all kinds of arrows and bolts... for my crossbows I prefer Victory Voodoo bolts and for archer my favorite arrows so far are Gold Tip by Ted Nugent I use on my Mongolian and also another PSE bow I have for Flu Flu... very accurate and very nice... I like dropping arrows down on a target from long distance, hitting targets from above... practice that a lot as well long distance shooting. I shoot frisbies with Flu Flu arrows... much like using a shot gun to hunt... and I do have nice shot guns... my favorite is an old Bolt Action clip fed shot gun from the Korean War era... really nice gun with built in muzzle brakes as well as a built in choke... that can be taken out for shooting slugs or sabot rounds... any way... love archer and outdoor stuff... also love motorcycles... but since I'm missing my left leg now haven't got back on a motorcyle since 2018. Any way have a great day and thank you... send a link if you know of any hunting videos with this bow... appreciate your efforts in making your videos.

      Not sure if this is still useful, but I ordered the Obert one (only one I found available) probably like a month ago, and so far I'm really happy with it too. NUSensei has a review of the Mandarin Duck but he specifically says the Black Hunter is pretty consistent across brands. It's my first bow, so take my comment with a grain of salt, but I've actually noticed I'm getting more precise as my technique slowly improves, so I guess that speaks well of the bow

I have a 68" ragim wolf at 55# and the thing is deadly accurate, no hand shock and silent, I have it set to 8.5 for brace height, but on my black hunter im around 7.5 and its so loud and it has so much shock and the arrows arent flying good at all :( Maybe these bows are really good at 30-45# but the 60# versions are garbage?

      I found that my 60lb black hunter likes the 31.5 inch arrows better than 29.5. You want abojt a half inch between your shelf and the broadhead, and the broadhead itself is about an inch. I have arrows set at 30.5 inches and they come out to 31.5 with the broadhead. I overdraw my black hunter to 30 inches and leave that 1.5 sticking out the front. Arrows are spined 65-70. It just seems to fly better than the 29.5 inch wooden arrows i have at normal 28" draw.
