Your interpretation is interesting. I always thought the girl opened her eyes and left him, because she saw all the destruction he caused. But thinking of this event is the cause of his rage is awesome and even deeper. When both of them are blind, he could have make a wish to see with his own eyes, but he made this wish for the girl he loves, and she left him, because she didn't like what she saw. He wasn't able to make her his own. And now he destroys everything that doesn't belong to him.

it's about every leader who does what Bush did, causing wars everywhere else, and being shocked when the war comes to their home

The ending (which is the part thats not in the live version) is a tough one.
My theory is that he met a girl who is blind, and knows what he feels and goes through, and as such share the same pain (as the lyrics go).
Because she is blind, she cant see who she is talking to. But as soon as she opens her eyes she sees the monster she was talking too, so she ran away as far as possible, most likely out of fear and terror.

@@arnolsi I red it was written about a middle eastern dictator. That's why there are middle eastern sounds in the song. But actually it doesn't matter. Everyone interpretates differently, that's what Rammstein songs are made for.
I think it about a choleric person and at the end the girlfriend realizes that she needs to leave him.
