I found you from a channel bashing you. I have to say, coming to your channel and having an open mind has been more beneficial to me in all ways than listening to any negative voices.

Thank you so much for actually listening what I have to say ❤️ most channels that bash me claim I’m saying and doing something I’m actually not it’s so silly. But they’ll do anything for clicks

I did a lot of these things in the thick of my "health" obsession and wound up wildly ill both physically and moreso mentally. Ironic how dedicating your life to the pursuit of health can make you so unwell. You're right, it's not really about health for a lot of these influencers.

Yes!! It’s crazy isn’t it. It’s great that you realised that in the end well done

What is your opinion on processed foods? Admittedly I don’t cook yet, but I feel like all the food out there that falls under this category is HUGE & depressing to think I shouldn’t eat any of it & it’s all terrible ?

Heya no it’s not at all. I highly recommend the podcast nutrition for mortals they go through the actual science. The papers that have come out recently are mostly to do with ultra processed foods, these are only things you couldn’t make like Cheetos for example. And the research shows that someone with a diet of 75% UPFs has significant health implications but someone who only eats 20% or less has virtually none. But people represent that study like the control group is zero processed foods and it’s not. Processed foods come at different levels of processing too. Like tinned tuna, bread, pasta is all completely fine and healthy but they’re processed (not ultra processed though) and say Oreo’s are ultra processed but it’s unlikely you’ll eat loads of them because you’ll feel rubbish so you can more or less trust your body too. I also recommend Abby sharp. She’s a dietician and you can fully trust her opinion

i wanna be healthy but also i wanna live normally with no restrictions.. so in last May i signed up to a gym and started resistance workouts but other than that my lifestyle remained the same.. i workout i go back home from gym feeling so energized and confident and that alone helped me so much mentally and physically i lost so much weight too! so any gym/healthy videos online i immediately skip cuz not everyone live the same.. thank u so much for the video and bringing this up i hope everyone can watch it

I might just do it! The phrase “people are going through stuff you don’t even realise” is so true but maybe I could use myself as an example of that and talk about how I’ve overcome all the things so others can find their own way through similar or maybe just reduce the stigma

First of all, I really appreciate your strong voice and contributions to the quagmire of the internet.
Secondly, please can you talk about how and where you got help for your ED in the UK? I've been trying to get help and help myself for years but the NHS won't help unless you're under or over a certain weight.
If you can offer an insight into your own recovery, that would be amazing.
Thanks for being a genuine voice of reason in the world ❤

Heya! Thank you so much I’m so glad you appreciate it ❤️
I’m so sorry I don’t have a better answer but I also never got help through the nhs I’ve only ever got private help through dieticians 😭 it sucks and I still need more support around it but I never will now because I’m not sick anymore I’ve just got some lingering ed thoughts. When you’ve got other mental illnesses like me they tend to put the ED at the bottom of the list.

      Thanks for replying! ❤
Tbh, this is the point I'm getting to despite having limited resources because I started to feel like I was going mad having to live in the duality of my lived experience of mental health issues and then what the NHS would actually acknowledge because they had help for (which is little to none).
If you have any recs about how/where to find private help, that would be awesome too, especially as I know you know the privilege of having access to those resources ❤
You are a fucking awesome reminder to me of what my aims are for true health and balance. Thank you for all your hard work! 🎉
PS Your kid is so lucky to have someone so level-headed as a parent, and your partner sounds just as grounded - good for you guys being thoughtful parents!

Fresh fruit and vegetables should be the base of anyone's diet. It's not an influencer trend.

    • @sportybeth
      @sportybeth  17 дней назад +1

It’s mad that there’s a trend right now telling people that vegetables are poison 🤯 the basic health advice has always been and still is accurate.
