I got one yesterday after being natural for 8 years I did a few things he said not to do especially the scratching, I was nervous thankfully she used a good base. I love the results, however my toddler wasn’t impressed. His first words to me were, “your hairs not right.” 😂

So True!!! I've been relaxing for over 25 yrs & although I get my heat from my natural sistas... it works for me!!! My hair thrives because I follow relaxer rules & I just say it's not for everyone!😍👍🏼❤
I have locs and I e never thought to judge women who choose to relax I love Afro textured hair in all of its states
I was natural for 8 years (loc were my favorite), finally I gave in and got a relaxer. In my opinion my hair grows way faster and remains healthier when it relaxed.

Lin, I cannot understand how you feel but God does. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Utilize God being that close to you to the fullest and include Him in everything you do. That way you will be OK.
You give some very good advice, that really had no excuse not to be followed.

Mine burned every time regardless of seasons or how "prepped" I was by the stylist. Though funnily enough when I did texturisers on myself my scalp didn't burn once. So glad I stopped all of that many years ago. My scalp has been great ever since.

I have learned to drink Plenty of Water, sometimes I forget. When I see my hair is dry
I use a spray bottle with distilled water, add a moisturizer Cream, then Seal in the moisture
with an oil. Braiding my hair after then taking the braids out, trained my hair to wave,or coil
with enough softness and shine, that a simple fluff and head band is All I Needed. Creative ideas
will come. ✨✨👩🏾🦳❤️❤️❤️

@@1browngirl29went natural 5 years ago and this hair of mine is still a hot mess. Looked at all the videos and used all the oils. Growth? Yes. Thickness? Nope! Got my mama's genes so my hair in the crown is packing it's bags and leaving.

Glad to see you smiling! I have natural hair, 4c. I've tried so many things to soften it before combing, nothing has worked. The struggle is really! Any suggestions? I really don't want to get a perm.
Try getting your hair and scalp steamed it called a hydration treatment it has done wonders for me.

As an old schooler who does not drink coffee, I've always known all the other tips. I'm glad that you are sharing because I wouldn't have ever thought so many didn't know. I see RUclips videos where the person washes her hair the day before she relaxes. I would NEVER do that. Keep bridging the gap! You look great!
