Appreciate you stopping by and checking out some of my videos, thanks! I am not too familiar with any 70s footage out there... but there is a fantastic user on here that goes by wmuzeke that uploads fascinating NWI footage from the 80s. Definitely worth checking out if interested!
Once again, a great video and thanks for posting. I hope the EMDs live on forever and are not ousted by GEs. Crews and Management might welcome more modern Locos, but give me an EMD Spartan Cab any day.
Thank you so much for watching, so grateful to have people like you enjoying the content I put out! There is a bit of time left for the EMDs (the GEs being tested in this video have since been transferred out east), but as always, time marches on...
Thank you very much, Mark! Glad you enjoyed. The bridge is one of my favorite spots on the far end of the railroad, though I must say, I really wish the stone arches were still in place!
Thank you Ryan! I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and the narration! Still working on confidence as far as that facet is concerned... perhaps I'll get it some day. Comments like these certainly help, and I appreciate that!
I think it's just been a matter of practicality. For a good while, the main intention for reinstalling the diamond was to give NS more direct access to US Steel and Kirk Yard (they completely rebuilt the new line between Tolleston and Dune Junction for this), but they don't have enough unit traffic going to that plant anymore to justify the project. Regardless, no NS crews are qualified to run the CF&E anymore, so the only purpose the diamond could serve now with would be to give the CFE access to Kirk Yard, and I'm sure G&W is just fine having what little traffic exists between the two railroads routed by way of the IHB to the CN at Markham. Sorry for the long, delayed response but hopefully that answers your question!
The thing I wish would disappears is this “cookie cutter” color scheme for these railroads. Makes it darn near impossible to tell them apart! Glad to see these shortlines, but it looks like one company owns them all👎🏻( great video though, vintage EMD sooths it lol..)
Thank you Anthony, I couldn't agree more! The three units on the CFE roster that aren't dipped in corporate orange and yellow are my favorite for that exact reason!
Great catches and awesome video
Thank you very much!
NWI railroading is the best! Miss the early 70's footage if it exists!

It's been an absolute pleasure watching these videos. Glad to see the final railroad captured of the 3 orange gems of the region.
Thank you so much for watching, comments like these mean a lot. Plenty more to come!
You come up with the best videos, I sure do love hearing those EMD prime movers scream. Nice video!
Thank you - so glad you've been enjoying my videos! And I agree wholeheartedly, EMD music never fails to bring a smile to my face.

Great presentation
I really enjoyed the view of the bridge over Deep River in Hobart
I grew up there and never went north of the railroad

Another incredible video! I appreciate the narrations on your videos, it's nice to have the added info!

Awesome work❤keep em coming.Big fan😊
Just saw your comment… thank you so much! Plenty more to come!
Why is this not at 20k+ views yet!?!? YT is killing content creators
You're too kind JC. Your CFE video from the spring is still at the top of the list for CF&E content, so at least one of us is getting blessed lol!
Question do you know why the never put the diamond back in at the end cfe in tolleston
