Now this is definitely a mellow reaction video. I can't stop smiling. The sitting/chair in depth discussion, with actual crutches in background, Brown and Pav belting it out. Mellow. I enjoyed this -- I think.
It“s a duet from the Pavarotti & Friends concert in Modena, Italy, 2002. Pavarotti is normally standing at concerts. He only sat down sometimes when he became older and had health problems. At this concert his was also sad because his father died days before.
This is such a great duet between two greats meshing two very different styles, two very different songs, into something new and wonderful. Superb. Pavarotti did a series of charity concerts pairing up with famous singers. He is sick here, towards the end of his life and he is sitting down.
In a previous Pavarotti video, there's a scene where you can clearly see him standing. At first, you can see his back while he's standing, but his legs aren't fully visible. However, around 20 seconds in, just before he starts singing, you can see him adjusting his stance by moving his legs. More definitive evidence can be found in the video of him performing 'Non ti scordar di me' on the same stage. Around 2 minutes and 25 seconds, you can clearly see him standing and taking a step.
i LOVE both of these men! the King of Soul and the King of Classical Music together for a DIVINE performance indeed... thankk you for this reaction. if you are going to react to Jame Brown songs, i HOPE you can do "Funky Drummer, Parts 1 & 2"... my favourite all-time James Brown song. this is the full, 9-minute version if you want the link: ruclips.net/video/QXw6YZltKJk/видео.htmlsi=yc0Pd9c8UIAHTZsD

It was in 2002 in Pav's home town Modena, Italy. One of his Pavarotti and friends charity concerts
