      Hey I have a question for you? When you read the permissions of the app for Android it says it can record and take pictures of you at any time do you think doordash actually does that???

    I had some lady in a gated community claim she didn’t receive her entire alcohol order. I was immediately deactivated. But ‘gigwhiz’ from the comments reactivated me. She’s dumb, and I feel she’s was trynna scam.

    if I have a long wait I contact the customer I let them know that the weight is going to be longer than expected but me myself I am not waiting on an order more than 10 minutes, then I'm canceling that order and moving on

    I have 5 stars after 5 deliveries I learned how to dash after I did 5 but I know texting helps keep your customer rating

    I door dashed, and the customer threatened to hit me because the hotel would not allow me to deliver to their room. It was so scary. I am a new dasher, and no one responded to me yet, plus that cx gave me a bad review because of the hotel policy. It hasn't fallen off my rating yet, and there has been no restitution for me being threatened. The people on the help line can sometimes have a language barrier, and often don't understand my issue specifically. They just hear a cue word and start rambling

      DD is trash, they outsource , countless illegal practices, they believe everyone else but us, like we are automatically in the wrong. Which isn’t ok because customers are shady AF ! People have been getting free food since the beginning of time , of course they figure it out with apps. DD& merchant make a ton of profit, while we do slave labor & make a few dollars. In CA minimum wage is $15 hr, and you don’t use your car/gas. Merchants& DD should be treating us WAY better as we do the dirty work. Their “support “ have no concept of the US, what we do, and know nothing outside their script. It’s pathetic! For an hour I explained and provided proof there was no 7/11 st the address given, I asked her to google herself, and I still didn’t get paid!!! I’ve had fast food employees go off on me who refuse to give me 2 orders as I waited for 45 min… I’ve been seeing a lot of people deactivated & it’s completely false. Ugh they are just so shady

    Driving for Door Dash sounds like a 3 way kiss butt job. Door Dash, the restaurant, and the customer. And the driver taking it with a smile all for a 5 dollar tip. I'm having second thoughts about driving for (Back) Door Dash.

    Minimum customer rating in US is the same in all markets now and asking for ratings in some parts of the country is only going to hurt you. Ask for ratings at your own risk and only do so if you know your market well enough, Try that in my market and you will drop like a rock.

      Then they will be terminated too. Support team are not allowed to deactivate accounts but they can file an incident report against you which can possible deactivate your account.

      I report every abusive customer, and now take photos of every single delivery, even when I hand it directly to them. It is not worth having a customer full on lie to door dash after recievig the order from me at their door. Covid 19 has brought out a lot of desperation, but service industry folks are getting the brunt of shady people, and the malintentioned types. I mean, it is 3 bucks to get food to your door, and 7 for the average fast food order. If you don't have 10 bucks, don't order in

      A door dasher tonight that delivered my food called my mom and said that our apartment number wasnt on the order (It was because we orderd food through doordash a few seconds ago and the dasher had no problem finding us) but the dasher tonight she hung up the phone while my mom was telling her the apartment number and just went in to our hallway and threw our food on the shared mailboxes (Who knows when they were last cleaned) she then threw the car in reverse and backed up fast out of our apartments our apartments have a long drive way. it was also night time she could of hit some one.

    I bought stickers. I'd say it's a 50/50 chance they will go in and rate you. But it helps. One thing I do is communicate with the customer and let them know I dropped off their order (lunch time) and Thank them. Sometimes it works... Honestly its a hit or miss.
    My customer rating never goes over 4.70...not sure why.

      If you have good communication with a customer even just omw and they say thanks you say where you left it they interact at least twice in some form I ask and many many give out 5 stars excellent strategy. You cant please everyone I have all 5 stars but one even though I fully explained and even offered to personally deal with it and how to deal with it through the app. Oh well my above and beyond are awesome there's some good people left out there!

    Tonight I got 2 orders I had to cancel. One the restaurant was a fake location and the second there was 3 other dashers at the restaurant for the same order so I just cancelled it. How many cancels are too many?

      I never asked for a great review don't care, but I do stay in contact with mycustomers every 20th of the month I give out free items such as bottled water, ice tea, cans of soda, fruit snacks for the children

      Customers don't give reviews if they're satisfied with the food delivery. They only give reviews if they have a complaint or aren't satisfied with the food delivery. Bad news gets more attention than good.

    I ordered door dash last night,1.I had it to be left at door,the driver calls and says she's outside...okay so I go down to parking lot and I have to walk all the way to the car and immediately notice tamper proof seal broken?!?!I asked about it and her reply was the resturaunt did it?????immediately reported,I'm curious will the driver be deactivated or just a slap on wrist.

    DD is the easiest job ever. i make like 20-25ph on average, i can work as much or as little as i want, and once youre eligible for fast pay you can wire the money directly to your account. the worst part is dealing with stupid customers, when the gps takes you to the wrong location or waiting for food to be prepared when youre in a rush.

    I got deactivated out of the blue a month into my "career", on a Sunday of all days. No reason given, and my weekly pay was withheld to the tune of over $700. I protested it by filling out the form, and three days later my account was reactivated. I had to resubmit my banking info however, to get the pay owed to me. To this day I have no idea why I got momentarily "canned". Currently also, there are no Door Dash offices anymore.

    I just recently started with DD and have 32 deliveries so far. I just checked my ratings for the first time and was shocked to see that my customer rating is a 2.5, Very Low. My deliveries are on time and I'm pretty darn friendly so I don't understand why my customers are giving me such low ratings.

    I think it is a computer generated result for deactivation. I’ve tried to call support and they say that the department that deals with it is only reachable by email, and all they can do is submit notes for the order. I got deactivated yesterday after an order I had delivered to a Karen (actually the customers name)
    I had noticed it was a hand to me order and no one had answered, and no one picked up when I called, so I took a picture of it at their home. I got a text 25 minutes later from the lady stating that she just barely got a confirmation the order was dropped off and it wasn’t at her house.. I sent her a message telling her that I had delivered it to the address that she had provided me and left it after trying to contact her multiple times. Then I sent the picture. She then tried to tell me that it wasn’t her house, but as a dasher for the past 2 years, I think I can use my gps and read addresses just fine. In response I had to just tell her that that I delivered to the address provided by her. I even called support to make a report and to submit my evidence just in case she did try to report me anyways. (Side note: DoorDash support verbally told me on a recorded line that I would be totally fine, that I had submitted enough evidence, and not to worry about my contract violation after I took those necessary steps) 2 weeks later I’m here. I was full time in SoCal, and making around $1600 a week (pre expenses) and now I’m back to job searching. DoorDash won’t help me, I can’t even send an appeal for the deactivation for another 90 days even though I provided all my evidence in the first one I had sent. Anyone have any ideas?

      Here's something that helps me. While you're waiting for food, take a minute to analyze the address and check it out on the Dash Map. I even saw a girl using Google Earth to visually see what the house looked like. Very helpful if it's an unfamiliar address.

      Sometimes it helps if you gooogle the address and take a look of the picture of the house when you are waiting for your food, specially when you have night shift.

      @@pod9363 I use Google Maps for every delivery and if you turn on the satellite image you can see everything. So you can count the number of houses before you turn down the street and count them as you're going down which helps. Also your not going to have to go to Google Earth if you using Google Maps cuz it shows a picture of the house or building wherever you're going

      The in app gps is good just sucks I’m apartments I usually just call once I’m in tho. When you get close or on the street just remember the address number and look for the number.

    I just did my 3rd day and honestly I’m enjoying it a lot definitely not a full time job unless you multiapp atleast in my area I got a $11 tip which was really nice I had a 90% acceptance rate but then it got dropped last night because I got a lot of bad orders

      You got all your tips. You just didn’t get additional money on top of it which we used to get it but people kept complaining. Doordash never stole tips.

      magilla2282 technically they did, based on what the customer tipped is what doordash paid. It saves the company money. Talk about a greedy corporation, they honestly have no overhead besides their awful customer support. Really sad how they exploit and abuse their drivers.

    Also for customer rating use a hot bag I’ve gotten A lot of tips after the drop off Just from using a hot bag and they tell me no one uses a hot bag And my food is always cold I’m like I know I’ve done Over 5000 deliveries and I’ve only seen three people use a hot bag doesn’t matter if it stays in your car you have to bring it into the restaurant and bring it to the doorstep

    i never imagine getting deactivated for this. I tried to login to their driver portal from my computer browser using the ONE email i only use for everything. Their site thought i was trying to create a duplicate driver account for suspected fraud purposes and so my acct was flagged and put on hold. Ive sent a couple emails, called them a few times. i was told initially by phone support it could take 3-5 business days for them to finish the appeals process. and just today after i called them they told me it could take up to 30 days for them to finish my appeal! im so tired of busting my butt and trying to work so hard for these app companies, only to be screwed every which way. the lack of oversight and recognition and the urge to penalize over the smallest things is absurd. I have never abused my position and it means piss all. Kids if you're reading this, goto school and dont be a dasher

      People who wont communicate via text or call are very frustrating and it always sketches me out if I cant contact customer and it says hand it to me but leave it I will waste the 5 minutes and take a picture to cover myself.     Yes I got deactivated the first day dashing only got to deliver two orders and they said I did not complete two or more orders I appealed and they got me back on the next day well on my way to start the day before I can do any orders bad they deactivated me again it’s bull I did everything I was supposed to

      oscar zambrano have you calculated expenses like gas, taxes, wear and tear on your vehicle? When i did doordash more than a year ago I constantly was given low paying orders even when I skipped eventually doordash picks up on the driver skipping so they stop sending you orders. I remember working 12 hrs one day because at the time I was so desperate for money because I had just gotten fired from my previous job, 12hrs doing doordash that day and only made $66 not included the $20 I spent on gas so in reality I made way less than minimum wage.

    I got super angry when I was deactivated from uber for community guidelines. I was driving for doordash for more than 5 years and I was involved in a discussion with the passenger just because he doesn't likes hispanic people. He recorded our conversation and I really was mad with him for his way to treat me. I reach out to *Brave notch on the internet* and they got it reactivated immediately

    At my delivery point ,they don't pick it up i call door dash and say someone tried to take their food. door dash then say don't leave it there. if the person does not come out they don't get the food. door dash emails the customer that someone tried to take their food and their plans are foiled. no free food and door dash knows about them. it takes longer but there is no way i can be blamed. like i said tell door dash someone tried to take food then you off the hook. And I can’t wait cause I have other deliveries. The next morning I got deactivated and I couldn’t work this is wrong,before I don’t think I am to be blamed,contacting the up above name being my account back and since then I always record them picking it up

    They deactivated me for referral fraud, but I never referred anyone, and I never tried to refer anyone. However my account was hacked, so maybe since they saw a different device log into my account that might have been the reason? As soon as I noticed m account was hacked, I called door dash about it. Then two days later my account was deactivated. I did the appeal, and they wouldn't reverse their decision on the deactivation.

    I got deactivated for an argumentative store owner who stole my customers drink after he yelled at me about starting the dash before he finished the food then he accused me of stealing and not starting the order after he finished on my way out the door he approached me in a threatening manner I thought he was going hit me and he stole my customers drink then he called doordash and made up a complete lie I don’t know what he said but it got me deactivated and I felt threatened by his mannerisms but I got the short end of the stick

    My girlfriend was doing door dash for two weeks. When signing up for doordash, when asking for the banking information, the app wasn't taking the account numbers for her Chase account, so she decided to use my BofA checking account to deposit payments into. Doordash accepted the banking information. she worked for the two weeks for a total of $569.00. On the first day she was expecting payment for the first week, no payment was made. She worked the second week, the following monday when she was expecting payment, her account had a message that it had been deactivated for fraudulent activity. She called Doordash, they gave her no information as to what the fraudulent activity. So the only thing she could think of is because she was using my checking account for payments. So she appealed stating that this was done on purpose as her account information was not being accepted through the app. Long story short, she received notification yesterday that her appeal was denied. So basically, they allowed her to make money for the company...did not receive payment for services rendered. I'm in contact with a Wrongful termination lawyer to get this sorted out. Unbelievable.
