There have been some nights were I have made 80 bucks in 3 hours. But on the regular I make somewhere between 60-70 bucks minus 10$ back in that tank. It’s a cool lil side hustle. But I live in a area that is extremely accessible to other areas.
You're totally right about add on orders! I've been doing multi apps for 2 years...since the first of the year all apps are saturated with low pay high mileage deliveries! It's getting scary! Where do you think this is heading? I usually do dinner rush from 4-11. My earnings have dropped 50% since the first of the year! Please give feedback.
Usually the first 3 months of the year are slow for most industries due to people having spent so much in November and December for the holidays. Things pick up around April due to people getting their tax refunds in. And people are going out more now due to the restrictions from the pandemic being lifted in most markets. Your market has a lot to do with your earnings. If you live in a big city you’re more likely to earn more than someone who lives in a smaller city. I live in a college town but travel to a big city that’s an hour away cause I make more there so it ends up being worth it for me
Remember the days of the week matter as well. If you deliver in neighborhoods with a lot of families or in a downtown area you Monday dinner orders are probably gonna be higher than Thursday or Friday dinner when some families might eat out or people downtown eat from places below their units. Planning and figuring out hot spots for days and weeks is just an easier way to optimize ur time. PS gas is higher than prime cheech and chong so don’t forget abt that
What frustrates me about Uber is when the customer lives in a “fancy apartment” complex and they give no specifics or directions on how to actually get into their place. Like no gate code, no door code, nothing.
when i do accept a bad order its usually when i dropped off a good order out in the boonies... a lot of time this brings me back to a good area and sometimes the drop off is exactly where i want to be... its kind of a gamble since ub offer has limited info...is sometimes does not workout very well...
Also don't speed race to the pickup location they WILL most times offer you a juicy add on my favorite is the 0 mile 9$ add on.. I had a few of those this week..
you dont get the offer until the restaurant tells the app the food is ready. I know this doesnt always work out, but they wont necessarily be starting the order when you get the offer, it should be ready by then if youre close to the restaurant. If the restaurant tells the app the food will be ready in ten minutes, it will give the offer to a driver about 10 minutes away. At least im 90% sure that's how it works.

I've been doing UberEATS for about 2 months now, and I can say there is money doing this gig, but you have to work a lot and strategize your deliveries for what is worth your time. I can make about 60-80 working from 8am-2pm. That's just working breakfast and lunch so if I was to work dinner I could easily make another 80 from about 4-10pm. I work UberEATS around my husband's night shift schedule because we have a 15 month old daughter so that way we don't have to pay tons of money for childcare. I only accept 7+ deliveries because it's worth my time, but I may accept lower only if it's a short drive so I choose wisely my deliveries.
I was at 7-Eleven $6 order 2 miles. another offer comes in additional $2 additional three miles because I was at the store and I did NOT add order to my route I still got my completion rate knocked down. one point. You made it obvious that these are meant only as side hustle and not sustainable ...I am very interested in learning about your real estate and capital investments...I sure hope you make contents on the subject! Great to hear! Awesome to grow a business that works for you! Real estate wise I’ve done a flip and one rental. As far as stocks I am quite diversified. Haven’t gotten enough interest on this channel to talk about those yet, may test the waters again in the future though.
Once a driver gets an order and is waiting for it at the restaurant...there should be an option to turn off any other potential incoming orders...so you aren't distracted.
Yeah it makes more sense to wait, ideally you get a good delivery just before you finish your current one. But when you're driving it always seems that you get a delivery going the other direction that you're going which is annoying when you're in the city.
THE FOOD IS PAID, If I was DOOR DASH or UBER-EATS I would be reselling it cause it’s fresh. Just call up people from your phone to make side money. It’s not stealing

Just started today, want to do UberEats and try it out but I haven't received any UberEats offers yet; it still is Noon right now. I'll take the timing into consideration but I have heard that others do it all day. Only have completed 3 rides so far and going till about 5pm and see how that goes
Complete opposite here I get orders all day from McDonald's 10 dollars to drive 2 or 3 miles I'll sit in the drive through and they hit me with a second good price short distance
I'm curious to anyone who sees this comment. What city are you from and how much do you make? I live in Vegas. Monday to Thursday I average $26 per hour, and Friday to Sunday I usually average about $32. This changes if I get a good Walmart batch order. I usually try to be by Walmart when they release the orders since I have figured out the times they send them out
@@DennisJordan.com. there are multiple people making that kind of money. You are not taking Into account I figured out the schedule for when Walmart releases their batch orders at 4 different times throughout the day. At least once a day I will get one that at pays at least $65 and as high as $110. And depending on miles you can get it done in about an hour and a half to 2. Before you speak like that maybe you should take the time to understand your city better. It took me a while to get to this kind of money. In Vegas if you are making $15 per hour that's not doing well.
@@DennisJordan.com. do your research before speaking like that. The people who drive Uber and Lyft here average 35-45 per hour easily. It's Vegas it's that simple
Maybe I’m dumb but I accept nearly every single offer I get. The only ones I don’t accept are for a restaurant on a military base I can’t access. My issue is I never get consistent orders anymore and tbh I think the more you accept- the higher your level is (green gold) etc. the more requests you get. If I get consistent requests I never make below $20 and hour. I just blindly accept and go go go. But it also could be my location! I’m in Washington state in a suburb which have a 1.3x boost everyday. But there’s so much more drivers now it sucks. There are more drivers than there are customers in a fast food place usually lol
So you're the one taking those $3 orders lol. I take $2/mile, but I'm thinking is about the same as the more you drive, the more orders you receive. A $3 order might get you a $15 on the way.
Good afternoon Jonathan! Glad I found there's quite a few gig driver channels on YT. So far yours is really great!!! I have a question. Does Uber provide any type of insurance coverage for drivers? Or did you have to pay extra to insure with your own insurance? Thanks.
They do have some in app insurance but it’s only while delivering, between deliveries you are not covered. You are also required to have personal vehicle insurance, if you do not have your own policy uber will not assist you with their coverage. A bunch of big insurance companies started expanding their coverage for rideshare and gig economy drivers during the pandemic, so you should be able to find something beyond standard vehicle insurance at a reasonable price.
speaking of drop off location, is there a way to look and zoom that map in to see where you are delivering too? i am hesitant to deliver to hotels or appartments, or some businesses, Door dash you can but i cant see if you can with uber, and i hate it, like delivering blindly, any tips on that?
I kinda fell into this when i lost my job at the end of october, i sometimes love it but honestly if i didnt live with my parents id probably would be living out of it and sometimes this shit really be stressfull i bitch to support alot about it sadly cause i feel bad about it sometimes... idk i thought i put it out a lil
Uber eats has its up and downs. If I decided to comment on the “downs”, my phone would die out of battery before I could finish. Good luck out there. Hope all your days are good ones!!! The bad ones blow, lol.
My rating has gone down because of me accepting second orders. It makes it take too much longer for the original order to get to it's destination. Sometimes it gets there cold.
I got a stacked order where the restaurants were next door and just dropped off for another... Took 40 minutes and $20 bucks and picked up another after that boom
I do both Door Dash and Uber Eats, it appears that Door Dash is more popular in my area due to the frequent offers to deliver. Uber Ears sends out an order once ever 20 minutes for some reason or worse little to nothing. Although the order payouts are often higher for Uber Eats. Door dash gives mostly low payout orders but they are frequently sending you orders.
@@Hooper-ls1ms not to hold anything against Uber , some days those few big payouts helps. I just wish it was more popular in my area when it comes to getting orders that’s all.

QUESTION..... if anyone can answer >> I have been doing UE for around 6 months. Many times (after I got my tip) it would say.....congratulations, the customer tipped you even more. I was getting that at least 35% of the time. In my last 50 (or so) deliveries, I have not received one EXTRA tip. This is near impossible. Did UE start doing something different? I feel like I am getting screwed over (?) Thank you for reading !!!
That's just it most if not all are NOT for the same restaurant. The few I have taken them the are like a street over when it comes to doing the deliver. Pay is terrible on them as well I accept add on only if a min of $6.00.
I don’t recommend working for Uber Eats. I just quit today. 2 1/2 months no support for the drivers I put in a request for my payment that was missing on August 18. Nothing returned to me. If you don’t have the acceptance because you’ve declined something, they don’t tell you that They don’t teach until two weeks. You have to figure it out for yourself. I would never drive for Uber
If you dont like multiple apps you might try multiple tasks on the same app. So Uber eats plus alcohol and some wal mart delieveries. Uber eats also does some small item deliveries which I was never aware of.
Uber eats is not very popular, most of my income from uber riders. Most of the orders I do get are from fast food, but maybe its because of the hours I work. I normally can't start work until 7-8pm, and probably miss dinner rush. Anyways I will try and use some of your advice.
Do you still rideshare with gas the way it is? I just signed up for uber eats. Ive been doing like one shipt order a day to dip my toes for the past 5 days but they are stingy af with pay. Just wondering if people are tipping extra with rideshare
@@jessicapadron7886 thanks for the response. Thats a good rule to share. If you dont mind me asking one more question, do you find you idle alot waiting around for orders to come through are you generally busy when you "schedule" yourself?
@@joshdee7639 There are definelty some busy times and it is best to work those. Breakfast, lunch and after bars hours tend to be pretty busy. Just be aware that after bar hours tends to be a lot of places like mcdonalds etc and the waits can be really long.

Pay attention to time as well. Traffic can make time different. In St Pete the freeway and side roads heading in to town from Tampa get super packed when a Baseball game starts. I saw this on a run and looked at the time the game started. Next run was $23 for 11 miles. Sounds great but it said 59 minutes to deliver. This was due to all the traffic. Also, if I go downtown on a weekend and the Rays are playing, there is no parking. So know your area will help a ton. Check ahead for special events.
Question if someone can answer. Do they give different delivery for bikes and cars. I do it a few days at dinner. Since I have a car they give me a 30 minute which takes longer if you have to wait for the food
This would be true but if your getting bonuses on both uberx and UberEATS and r trying to get home with a good amount of time then accept the back to back orders
Wait how do I set a minimum dollar amount for orders? If I understood you correctly you're saying that I can set it so it won't give me orders that are below whatever threshold I choose? And I understand that correctly and if so how do I do that?
I average 150-200 from midnight to 4 AM. I only drive people. I always start when they offer $15-18 if you do 3 consecutive trips. Tried the food delivery for a week and will never do that again! Here in SW Florida traffic is stupid and can add 15 minutes to your trip, then you have to park, go in, and hope it's ready! Huge majority of homes or condos are in gated communities and have to wait to get in, or live in high rises (sometimes takes 10 minutes) and after spending almost an hour delivering the order you get a shit tip! Definitely not worth it!!!
We're moving to Fort Myers and wanted to try Uber eats and drive. I live in one of the most densest cities in US so I make minimum wage by Friday about $600.
Weird I’ve had the complete opposite experience. In Seattle they were always $20 offers, and the restaurant put out chai tea and snacks for the delivery drivers.

november has been the worst since i started driving for these apps a few months ago. either the mileage is too far for the pay or people are not tipping. i think some of the apps got rid of the default tips which may be one reason.
you need to move around markets as well. uber eats is abysmal in houston. every order is just borderline insulting. back to back $1.50-$3.00 orders, orders that'll take me an hour to deliver and puts me out of market for like 8 bucks. then i have to drive for 30 minutes just to get back to where the orders are. i've done all areas of houston its just bullshit. but i went to austin for a week, and raked it in every night. in the end it really just comes down to the market.

There have been some nights were I have made 80 bucks in 3 hours. But on the regular I make somewhere between 60-70 bucks minus 10$ back in that tank. It’s a cool lil side hustle. But I live in a area that is extremely accessible to other areas.
Agree on all points. My best orders come from Chinese/Indian/Japanese/Korean/Mexican restsurants!
Not the Indian restaurants tho
You're totally right about add on orders! I've been doing multi apps for 2 years...since the first of the year all apps are saturated with low pay high mileage deliveries! It's getting scary! Where do you think this is heading? I usually do dinner rush from 4-11. My earnings have dropped 50% since the first of the year! Please give feedback.
Do the, math, miles, car expenses, oil, brakes, insurance, must have proper insurance, or biv trouble, thousands of loss, parking tickets etc.
I see an area that’s +$1.50 I found driving to that area doesn’t always do better, maybe because other drivers head there to and it washes out 🙁
Forst order. Ha. Good advice. I've been driving a month and still need to optimize my driving time. Thanks for the video. It does help alot
I made 80 dollars on 1 order yesterday and I was done for the day 😂😂😂 I should’ve kept going
Wtf? That’s crazy. You should’ve kept going, you could’ve made like 300$.
Nahh u buggin I would’ve kept goin🤣🤣🤣I just downloaded it and figured it out but I haven’t got my orders in my area for a couple hrs now. Do I just go outside into different areas and they will automatically pop up? I’m confused cus I’m seeing money signs and I’m thinkin I gotta go to those areas I see them and then orders will pop up😩
@@maiir.6852 nah yeah you gotta move around if you not gettin nothin. It works

It’s not that deep 🤣
I was at 7-Eleven $6 order 2 miles. another offer comes in additional $2 additional three miles because I was at the store and I did NOT add order to my route I still got my completion rate knocked down. one point. I know this because my completion rate is 100% . Watch your numbers people and Carry your tactical flashlights ....
Hi Jonathan! Awesome content you've been putting out last couple years...Truly appreciate your second to none effort, and in especially helping me get to a point where I can eventually quit both the whole gig deleveries and my full time job all together! They were a means to build my few online ecomm(NO DROPSHIP), and retail restaurant kiosks ALL THANKS TO YOU! You made it obvious that these are meant only as side hustle and not sustainable ...I am very interested in learning about your real estate and capital investments...I sure hope you make contents on the subject! Cheers
There is
when you are driving its a lot harder to see map and figure stuff out that works best...when sitting parked its waaay easier and not dangerous etc...
Yes very true, not safe to be looking through orders while driving!
It's crazy I do all this on a scooter lmao
@@Gignation i pull over when i can...uber gives you 15 seconds i think
Yeah it makes more sense to wait, ideally you get a good delivery just before you finish your current one. But when you're driving it always seems that you get a delivery going the other direction that you're going which is annoying when you're in the city.
Wonderful video. I wish I saw this months ago when I started uber eats almost a year ago. Thanks for the info
THE FOOD IS PAID, If I was DOOR DASH or UBER-EATS I would be reselling it cause it’s fresh. Just call up people from your phone to make side money. It’s not stealing
2 years driving for Uber Eats
99% Satisfaction Rate.. had been 100% for over a year until a FireHouse Subs manager went balistic because I asked twice how my order was going..
anyway Uber has locked me out most likely because I couldn’t afford to take a good 70% of the trips!!
He really help me out on my Uber account with some high paying orders
I do 8am-11am 12pm-4pm and then 9pm-1:30am
I make better tips in the rougher areas believe it or not.
There's a sushi restaurant by my house, every time I go there the tips are amazing
Just started today, want to do UberEats and try it out but I haven't received any UberEats offers yet; it still is Noon right now. I'll take the timing into consideration but I have heard that others do it all day. Only have completed 3 rides so far and going till about 5pm and see how that goes
Complete opposite here I get orders all day from McDonald's 10 dollars to drive 2 or 3 miles I'll sit in the drive through and they hit me with a second good price short distance
i agree that fast food places pay very low and take a long time. Sonic down here takes 30+ minutes sometimes.
What car phone holder do you suggest? Trying to find a good quality phone holder for my car. Not a vent mount either
Great vid!! I started working for uber eats in the sf bay area. I've done 3 days and it's been good so far.
As a independent contractor they should remove acceptance rates all together. Its a dirty trick to keep you accepting offers
I can be logged in for over an hour and get zero orders. I used to get a lot and made awesome money. Now it seems like all I get is DD. Tulsa, OK area
I usually sit at home and wait for deliveries. Tesla stock going to Moon lately. Glad that most of my money is invested and diversified
Me as well

speaking of drop off location, is there a way to look and zoom that map in to see where you are delivering too? i am hesitant to deliver to hotels or appartments, or some businesses, Door dash you can but i cant see if you can with uber, and i hate it, like delivering blindly, any tips on that?
here in houston, it's gets busy between 9am-2pm, after around 4,it slows down,I dont do dinner so who knows lol but I don't work longer than 5 hours😅
Definitely got a sub today brotha
Uber eats has its up and downs. If I decided to comment on the “downs”, my phone would die out of battery before I could finish. Good luck out there. Hope all your days are good ones!!! The bad ones blow, lol.
My rating has gone down because of me accepting second orders. It makes it take too much longer for the original order to get to it's destination. Sometimes it gets there cold.
Same here
You are so right about the add on order! Couldn’t have said it better!
Guys I’m 24 years old 2 years license experience can I apply Uber ride???
Take it you live near jacksonville. i recognize the 295 highway
Thanx for pointing out some of the pitfalls #%!
Yesterday was my first day, I should of watched that first lol facts!
I got a stacked order where the restaurants were next door and just dropped off for another...
Took 40 minutes and $20 bucks and picked up another after that boom
I’m in about to stared to work on this and this information is very complete and helpful.
Thanks a lot 🙏🏼
What I don't like is going to the big apartment 😕 it takes a lots of time
I do both Door Dash and Uber Eats, it appears that Door Dash is more popular in my area due to the frequent offers to deliver. Uber Ears sends out an order once ever 20 minutes for some reason or worse little to nothing. Although the order payouts are often higher for Uber Eats. Door dash gives mostly low payout orders but they are frequently sending you orders.
Totally agree Uber has been so slow
@@Hooper-ls1ms not to hold anything against Uber , some days those few big payouts helps. I just wish it was more popular in my area when it comes to getting orders that’s all.
@@PassportNomad What city are you in? I'm considering doing this bc I can do my own hours I'm in Austin,Tx
@@Lana-uy6po I’m all the way on the East Coast. It probably is better out where you are. I used to be stationed in Texas and Austin was cool. I notice since my last comment we have our slow days and busy days to deliver so it kinda works out sometimes.
In my market there are not high paying restaurants that are using uber, Indian I have to check.
I don’t recommend working for Uber Eats. I just quit today.
2 1/2 months no support for the drivers
I put in a request for my payment that was missing on August 18. Nothing returned to me.
If you don’t have the acceptance because you’ve declined something, they don’t tell you that
They don’t teach until two weeks. You have to figure it out for yourself.
I would never drive for Uber
There's a Muslim restaurant I've picked up at before and gets some good trips from it.
How do you do both? Currently doing just Uber eats and want to drive too but unable to add this in the app. Please help thanks!
Do you still rideshare with gas the way it is? I just signed up for uber eats. Ive been doing like one shipt order a day to dip my toes for the past 5 days but they are stingy af with pay. Just wondering if people are tipping extra with rideshare
@@joshdee7639 I only do food deliveries now and I try to keep it to short distance deliveries and aim for at least $2 per mile payout.
You're awesome. Keep grinding and thank you!
I do a few coffee runs in am, but dinner time is my cash cow!
Thank you for your video!! I needed this. I was deactivated from DD yesterday after 2 years and 5,025 deliveries. 😭😭😭 I made about $1000 a week with DD. I just need to know I can make the same with UE.
That’s terrible I’m sorry to hear that I hope you like Uber eats
How did you get deactivated?
What did you do?
Thanks buddy this is very helpful for me I must learn to read my miles
Pay attention to time as well. Traffic can make time different. In St Pete the freeway and side roads heading in to town from Tampa get super packed when a Baseball game starts. I saw this on a run and looked at the time the game started. Next run was $23 for 11 miles. Sounds great but it said 59 minutes to deliver. This was due to all the traffic. Also, if I go downtown on a weekend and the Rays are playing, there is no parking. So know your area will help a ton. Check ahead for special events.
how do you set order minimum in uber eats app? I cant find it.
Question if someone can answer. Do they give different delivery for bikes and cars. I do it a few days at dinner. Since I have a car they give me a 30 minute which takes longer if you have to wait for the food
One of my strategies is to not accept an order that pays much less than a dollar per mile
Smart move!
How do I calculate that?
This would be true but if your getting bonuses on both uberx and UberEATS and r trying to get home with a good amount of time then accept the back to back orders
What’s good? Are you a Uber Eats driver I have a very important information for you
Wait how do I set a minimum dollar amount for orders? If I understood you correctly you're saying that I can set it so it won't give me orders that are below whatever threshold I choose? And I understand that correctly and if so how do I do that?
What’s your thought on Gridwise?
You’re my hero *Drewtechs*
I wish you could see how I’m celebrating now 😊.
Hi mate, can you tell me if in Uk it is an app to see the price per order before to accept iy?
My biggest payouts was last month Walmart order 11 pickups $184
I laugh at those add-on orders worth $1.50 and 5 miles extra.
As for me I try to avoid Indian restaurants.People ordering from those restaurants don't usually tip at all
Weird I’ve had the complete opposite experience. In Seattle they were always $20 offers, and the restaurant put out chai tea and snacks for the delivery drivers.
It's probably Chinese restaurants but not Indian.Thats here in Ontario Canada
@@yuri28911 I have done well with Chinese restaurants lately!
Indian food is super expensive to begin with. Usually I'll just go pick it up try to save. As a delivery guy I only accept orders that are worth it. The annoying thing is getting tip baited.
Sushi places can be really good 👍
Hell yeah, thank you!

Uber eats is not allowed were i live it was banned by the mayor but some how doordash got to stay
i am just going out when its busy... makes sense...more per hour...less driving per $$$...if i had a 50 mpg car i may go out more..

Went to the restaurant picked up the food, even showed the employee my phone for the customers name never saw another order. As I was leaving the gps telling me to do a u turn. It was sending me back to the restaurant to pick up another order I had not agreed to, i cx that one
around 1 dollar per mile in my market is average... yes those $2 per mile are great..
november has been the worst since i started driving for these apps a few months ago. either the mileage is too far for the pay or people are not tipping. i think some of the apps got rid of the default tips which may be one reason.
you need to move around markets as well. uber eats is abysmal in houston. every order is just borderline insulting. back to back $1.50-$3.00 orders, orders that'll take me an hour to deliver and puts me out of market for like 8 bucks. then i have to drive for 30 minutes just to get back to where the orders are. i've done all areas of houston its just bullshit. but i went to austin for a week, and raked it in every night. in the end it really just comes down to the market.
I wish I'm Melbourne Australia it's $1 Australia per km
