Oops! There are only NINE tips, not ten! 😂 Mom brain taking over!
Loved the tips. So what is #10??? Lol
You doing WW math? LOLOL
🤭🤣🤣🤣🤣💜
Finally, organization that doesn't require a bank loan! We are trying to get debt free, declutter, and organize. You are the first person that didn't say, " Go buy this and that!"
Thank you so much for these ideas, Mindy! I appreciate you!😀
Sure thing, Sarah! 😊
So funny. U always know when daddy dresses the baby. I went to my mom's the other day and asked as soon as I seen my great niece what is she wearing. All she said was "Matt dressed her", and u could tell. Lol.
Yep! lol! It always worked fine, but I’d be scratching my head at some of the combinations. 😂
These tips are so practical and realistic. it’s nice to see tips for kids in the middle childhood years. So much is toddler Prek focused. Also nice to see a “real” house. Not a newer build with all new stuff. Keep it coming. Thank you!
Lori, as my kids get older, it is a different battle altogether with the clutter. You are so right!
Christine from Frugal Fit Mom needs the chest freezer tip!!
I'm sure she already knows! If I saw it somewhere years ago I bet she's seen, it, too! It's just been so long I can't remember where.
She just posted her organizational one and she was using baskets for the meat but didn’t have stuff for the other!!
I saw the freezer bag idea on Acre Homestead.
Great video. Loved the children clothing shelves. My personal tip, we have four clothes baskets in our closet, one for reds, one for whites, one for delicates, and one for everything else. When my wife does laundry, she grabs a basket and the clothes are pre-sorted. She likes it.
I love that your stuff isn't all beautiful and visually appealing... That's not what it should be about! I love the practicality of these tips.
I first seen the bags in the freezer from Do it on a dime. YEARS ago lol I've done it ever since. Very convenient 👌
Maybe that's where I saw it! I have been doing this for probably 5 years now, way before I was on youtube, or even watched much of it so I cannot remember! LOL!
When organizing my fridge I try to only use clear bins and containers. That way I can always see what I have. And designating an area for leftovers helps me see what needs used up first.
That’s a great idea!
I do this also. It was an amazing game changer for us.
If you have to buy them they have them in packs or individually at Marshall's and tj Maxx. This has really helped us
The deep freezer idea! Mind blown. I’m forever upside down digging in my freezer.
That's exactly how we roll in this household too!😊
Great post! "If I need new storage bins, I first check to see if I might just have too much stuff, and need to purge." Amen, sister. It's so easy to just keep adding, but in reality, it just adds stress and WORK, if we don't truly NEED the new stuff AND the current stuff.
Great ideas. I especially like the freezer bag idea. I'm going try that.
The ‘stuff’ basket is an amazing idea!!
Instead of shoving stuff in random drawers when running a round manic tidying.. it would have somewhere to go until there’s time to sort it out!! Love that. Thank you!
Glad I could offer something helpful, Laura!
Love the give away idea and the safety drawer
I find that the sooner I get donation items out of my house the better! Even it means I’m dropping off one small box occasionally rather than a huge load of stuff once or twice a year.
Really good ideas! I'm kid-less now, but wish I could have seen this back in the day. Still, good ideas morph. I started two-bin system for masks: two small trash cans lined with grocery sack - one for the used disposables and one for the washables. Since it's just me, it takes a bit to have a decent load to wash, but I have many as I made tons of them, gave a lot away, and ended up making more. I have a little vestibule in my townhouse that is sealed off, and the trashcans are in that. When it's trash night, the disposables get tied up and tossed out (after cutting the earloops). Then when I have at least a small load, I can get the laundry done easily by grabbing that bag and carrying it down to the laundry. Your idea of having extra hand sanitizer near that spot is great! I do keep one in my car.
I love this one! Use what you've got is the best method. We have an entryway shelf with a drawer that weve converted into a sunglasses drawer since we gave so many...they end up everyplace otherwise.
That is soo smart!! Love that they get their 'choice' but with perimeters and that they are in drawers ready to go! Love that vs sitting out outfits the night before :)
Yes, that's part of it as well. There was less fighting about what to wear because they had some choices, but it was stuff I had picked out ahead of time! LOL!
I use most of these same tips! The donation box, the chargers, the “stuff” bin, and the kitchen tips. Great tips!
THANK YOU. This is all very useful, budget friendly, and realistic.
Love the charging drawer!
I love the charging drawer! It drives me nuts having devices all over charging
Me, too! Unfortunately, I’m gonna need a second one with all the computers/phones/devices we have nowadays! 😂
The bags for the freezer is exactly what I need in my life right now!
I've been using see-through bins in my garage freezer (it's a vertical one rather than a chest one), but I had to replace my freezer recently and noticed the shelves are more shallow in the new one, making it harder to store more bins. I hadn't considered the bag idea for veggies and things. Thanks for sharing. I like to keep meats and pre-cooked freezer meals in the bins in case the power goes out (less clean up!), but veggies and cheese, etc. would be perfect for bags. Yay. :) Thanks for your sharing your tips. :) God bless.
I love the charging drawer! My husband and son put all their equipment on the couch with plugs everywhere and it drives me crazy. Of course it is because they don't plan ahead but I would love a drawer. The stuff basket is cute!! Totally get it because it isn't anything of yours and it is so hard to always clean up after others. We have drawers in the kitchen which are for all my son's stuff so that water bottles and bowls are in one and cups in another. The super best way to have the kids take care of things!! All dad's dress kids like that...It used to be a joke at preschool I worked at when they brought kids in who dressed them...sometimes it was Dad and sometimes it was themselves ;)
I"m with you on all of it! Yes the cords everywhere is a struggle for us all in this digital age. The charging drawer is also a way for us to keep track of some electronics, and time on them as well.
Love this video! I had the same issue with my daughter when she was little with my husband picking out outfits for her 😂I started using the ikea shoe organizers ( their less than $3) and have continued to use them for all my kids 10 years later! It make school mornings so much easier !
Wonderful, realistic tips, thank you!
Thank you! I’ve got things cluttering around my walls in bins that never gotten purged, I’m going to go thru them bc my “zones” for paper/clutter, little objects that hold makeup / extra cords in a bin that need a better home than on my floor in my way. I’ve got one little cabinet ready and 2 milk crates, I’m doing this today! At least a section or two! ❤️
Thank you for sharing some great tips for a busy family. I especially like the charging drawer - it's brilliant!
That’s a favorite of mine, too!
Hi Mindy! Thanks for the great video, you gave me lots of ideas I can actually use! Take care and have a good night!
Every time I watch a new video your subscriptions keep growing! Keep up the good work.
Thanks, Hydee!
Great video! Love the kid's activity organization area! My son does league and select baseball and my daughter does gymnastics, so the struggle is real finding uniform matches and leotards!
These are some seriously cool ideas I’m gonna have to do some of this I just got a side entry table that I need to put together from Amazon that I plan to use as a charging station for my kids because it also has a pull out drawer but it’s got three shelves I bought it last July and I’ve yet to put it together it’s my project for this weekend amazing awesome video great job
I use the freezer bags and got the freezer tip from Do it on a Dime. Katherine. Years ago too. ❤️❤️
Great tips! I've purchased a few storage items in the past few months, but definitely trying my best to use what I have! Always a great reminder!
Yep! Nothing wrong with getting new things, but I try to ask myself first if there is something I already have that can serve the same purpose.
Thanks for the tips. Im currently reorganizing both main storage areas in my home. Hopefully I'll be able to tackle the garage after that!
OMGsh - the 'charging drawer' is BRILLIANT!!!
Love the mask and sanitizer drawer
I love the freezer organization idea
Thanks, Lora!
Love your “activities” closet! And kudos you have room for a donation box inside the area for coats and gloves 😎 that’s where we have our “toolbox, extra batteries, packing tape” so no room! Great idea (whosever it was lol) is that a word: whosever lol for the chest freezer! Wishing you blessings!!
Thank you!! 😊
Very good helpful hints and tricks!
Glad you like them!
I keep some ziploc bags in my vehicle's trunk for emergencies... whether that be food or messy clothing or whatever. Also, my kids are grown, but I started buying baby wipes a couple years ago to keep in my vehicle to clean up mystery stickiness or after fueling, etc. It's been especially great since the pandemic as I can clean up after going shopping, etc AND since I have excema, it's better than alcohol wipes or sanitizer. Safe for baby, safe for me!
Loved this video. So nice to see real organization...not the Pinterest kind that I know doesn’t look/stay that way beyond the before and after. My living room has a bit of a landing zone wall because we don’t have a very big entryway or mud room with similar items.
I think we all have those landing zones in our house, Bethie! Mine are the counter by the coffee maker, the dining room table, and the hallway right by the garage door!
Good Morning Mindy, I loved this. I have been using your freezer method of organization every since you showed it awhile ago. Love it. All these hacks are awesome. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching, glad I could help!
Great video and great ideas! Going to tell my daughter about the drawers with the individual outfits in them!
It has been a huge help the last 10 years around here!
Thanks so much for the REALISTIC organizing!!! Great ideas.
Love a cute stuff basket! Destresses me so much to have a spot for the kid randoms rather than clutter. Love your charging drawer as well! 😊
Yep! Sometimes the random stuff needs a temporary home until I find it a permanent one!
Loved this video! Thank you for the ideas!
Love this. I am like you. I just repurpose all my organizing stuff. I don't know how people have time and energy to have beautiful pinterest coordinating organizing items!
I used to go out and buy stuff when I got an organizing kick. Now I realize, that’s just bringing more stuff into my house. 😂
Thank you for the video!
It’s so hard when you are getting started on making a home as a young couple. We don’t have baskets to reuse haha
Really great ideas ! I wish I had thought of those when my kids were little ! Those drawers with already put together outfits is awesome !
That has been a huge time saver for us!
Hi Mindy! Great ideas. I will be stealing a few when I move.
I've recently started to organize a few rooms in my house and this gives me some great ideas for how to possibly streamline things. Unfortunately I'm gonna have to buy some more storage cause I don't have anything really in reserve, but other than that I like your way of organization! Very practical 🖤👍🏾
You might check the thrift store for wicker baskets. I find a few sturdy generic bins can be used for years, if you need to make purchases.
I adore organising and decluttering videos. ☺️ currently watching your video.
Okay, TBH, I've always cringed at the plastic 'dressers', but gotta say the idea of putting the kids' OOTD in each drawer when putting away laundry is GENIUS!!! Back when I was an employee working 8-5 with Littles in tow, I would plan my work wardrobe out on Sundays for the entire week, and would group the OOTD on hangers, with shoes and accessories placed beneath. It saved me SO MUCH time! If the weather changed unexpectedly, I'd swap things out in the evening, but still so much easier than trying to figure it all out in the morning, plus figuring out the kiddos' outfits too!
Lol. Not sure if you got that from me but I organized mine using green Menards bags. Way easier to pull out bags to find things !!!
I use bins with lids that stack up perfectly in the chest and upright freezer and they are labeled so I know what is in each bin.
Yyyaaassss girlfriend, awesome idea to put the bins in the 'mud room' with all the kids' sportwear and a basket for the dirty clothes when they come home. Like, do NOT EVEN think about passing this area w/o putting our nasty sweaty dirty gear in this basket right here. BRILLIANT!!!!
Great video. Comes in handy because today I'm going to be organizing & cleaning my house. I don't know if you follow her but I learned that freezer organization from "A Peek Inside". I have a stand up freezer so I use dollar tree bins in mine. Thanks for the ideas & inspiration Mindy.
I have not heard of that channel, I’ll have to check it out.
Oh my gosh my hubby is like that too! What we ended up doing is plain bottoms and patterned/character tops. Everything matches kind of like a capsule wardrobe
You given me tips on how to get my clutter together
I learned that freezer trick from Do it on a Dime.
We do pretty much exactly the same thing with masks! It works really well.
Kathryn from Do it on a dime does the bag system.
Love your channel, just found you! Do you have any cleaning and or laundry hacks you could share? Always need to be inspired:)
I don't do a ton of cleaning videos, Wendy, but I'll keep that in mind. :)
The tip on like items in bags has been used for years on "A peek inside" youtube with darlene
I don’t recognize that name, but maybe I got it from somebody who got it from her? 🤷♀️ She’s a genius, either way!
I saw the freezer tip on the channel Do it on a dime before.
I learned the deep freezer tip from A Peek Inside
What type of bags do you use in the freezer?
They’re just reusable grocery bags.
Katherine from doitonadime did the freezer bag hack
A peek in the life is probably where you saw the freezer bag hack.
I love the mask organizer and the charging drawer!! I’m stealing both those ideas. Thanks for sharing!
I thought you had 7 kids with the shoes Picture
It's not realistic, the trends are just that money wasted trends....lol I bought it all and ummm well a lot was just a space taker!
