    I have a woods TW-222 and I'm very happy with it. I'm also really glad I saw this video! I mean now I know (and was curious about) getting the Screamin Eagle 103 kit upgrade but thought maybe the cam would need to be replaced but thanks for clarifying it won't.

    I have a 2007 Dyna FXD. It was stage 1 with an FP3 tuner. Recently, I had a Feuling cam chest with a Reaper 543 cam put in and SuperTrapp Supermeg pipes put on. It was tuned on a Dynojet with a Power Vision map. It made 95.48 hp at 5750 rpm and 104.93 torque at 3560 rpm. My freeway mpg is 47. I really like this cam. It's just loafing along at 80. I dont want to back off, even when I have to. The whole rpm range is smooth. I got this cam mainly for touring.

    I’ll agree with the Woods 222. Stuck one in my TC103 and it’s a new bike. Btw, no noticeable valve noise over stock.

    I love my Woods 222 in my 96. Tons of torque early on. This thing pulls like a train up hill so if your wife is 300lbs, great choice. It does drop off in hp kinda early so its not a race cam. I use Redline oil, and no valve train noise at all.

      I was conforming a list with end goal also in mind andrew 48 is another 222 cut cam that I found better figures with other manufacturers. does not by any means mean it is not a good cam just did not make the list when also including cams that would work best with future upgrades.

    I'm running a 2003 heritage softail. 98" s&s 83cc ported heads. JE pistons. Aprox 10:1 comp. Maybe a bit more. Bottom end tried and welded. Came chest upgraded. I was after torque so I put in a Red shift 528 cam. 104tq. 88hp. What other cams would you recommend. I am not looking for big top end numbers. I like torque and roll on power. I have a 6 speed in it now with no issues pulling what so ever. Going back to a 5 speed with 34 tooth front belt pulley. It's an ultima builders kit od6. 4th and 6th are just too noisy. That's my reason.
    There are times I feel the power drops off too quick. Not sure my cam choice is taking advantage of my build. What is your opinion. Thanks. Pipes are V&H big shots long with crossover chamber. Although I like 2 into 1 performance, I want to keep my longshots.

    • @alaskagarage
      @alaskagarage  Год назад

      Probably a tw-555-6r with your added compression and displacement, along with the ported heads, should be able to breathe nice and take advantage of a usable upper end without falling off early. Aka gaining hp without sacrificing your torque.
