Actually, it says "IT also has butt checks."
    Not butt "cheeks."
This revelation has profound implications for the piece to be revisited.

This is what Will wrote: "It also has buttchecks". If he had intended for the work to read "It also has buttcheeks", he would have written that. But no, this is a work by a master artist, and you have done a great disservice to him--and to us--with such a loose interpretation. We must use our hermeneutic lenses to peer into the depths of the words actually written, thereby challenging the security of our own native social expectations. It is in this way that the true brilliance of Will reveals itself to us.

This reminds me of English class when we had the question "Why did the artist choose to described the color of the curtains as blue?" Apparently the answer was "To show the sadness and depression he is facing so the reader sympathizes" or something.
I put down "Because he wanted blue curtains."

I think its interesting that Will chose to use the word "well" presumably in place of the word "while". Is this a deliberate play on words suggesting that the "Monkey" can make fart sounds with its mouth while it farts from its behind AND that the "Monkey" actually farts well as evidenced by the fact that the fart sounds like a fart?

I fear your in-depth interpretation of Will's master work is invalidated. At first view, most would be drawn to the farters 'butt cheeks'... However, Will deceptively uses simple text to direct us to the creatures 'butt checks'. This intentional complication throws a 'monkey' wrench in your (f)artistic critique.

This gave me PTSD of the time in art in college when I spent 2 weeks painting a realistic rose and got a lower grade than the guy who literally dumped trash on the floor and called it society 🤣
Pro tip for getting good grades I'm art. Make shit And pretend it has a deeper meaning to sound pretentious.
(I do like art btw even some of the pretentious stuff depending on how it's done but that particular incident will always be with me lol)

There's the correct answer & there's the answer the teacher wants.
Know the correct answer & why it's correct...but keep your mouth shut & get the grades you need.

What's hilarious is that this video puts the drawing in a social context which makes it valuable now. As stupid as it may seem, this drawing, as stupid as it is, could sell quite well to people wanting to collect elements of important memes, as memes too, depending on their reach, will have the potential to be viewed by some as art. But it's also about rarity and status, and the fact this video is spread by many and only one drawing was ever made, lends to that.

I miss your videos Ze, the insightfull ones I mean, like Suppostobes.
I watched it on a warm summerafternoon in France, when returning from Spain to Belguim, where I'm born and grown so to speak, and it really blew my mind. It was such a poetic and unique view on everyday life, on what we all feel so often but can't express. You expressed it for the world! I miss that. I hope we'll see another one of your ephifanies soon!
    Loveya Randomsuperhero ;D

This came out when I was in college, and 10 years later I still consider it one of the foundational texts in the English Canon.
It can fart well making noises that sound like fart noises, indeed. Truer words.

I would love to do a weekly series of this where I take the worst of the front page of Deviantart and try to do this with it. Unfortunately I'm not that great at articulating the artist vernacular in a convincing and representational way as Zefrank.
