The pipe really gave it that extra realism
Thanks, it’s my favorite part
Excellent! That illusion works very well, and the modeling looks so realistic. It's not even apparent that the lamps flip 180 degrees each level.
Thank you very much!
Probably one of the best ones I’ve seen
Thanks
I love that you used "re-bar" for the ladder, and the pipe addition is great. Thanks for showing us.
Thanks

That ladder is so realistic looking. It really looks like it goes deep underground from your room. I love it!
Thanks!
Glad you like it!
Holy Guacamoly! What a nice idea! Well done. 👍
Thank you! 😊
That looks pretty darned cool

Very cool. Great job
Thanks!
You did a great job on that.

Love it .
Great job .

Amazing work 😎
Thanks!
This is amazing.
Thanks
Perfect :) and let us not forget that the wauw effect is much more in reality then watching it on a monitor in 2d like we are all doing here.
Thanks and YES!
This is so cool 😊

Very Nice DIY Project 👍🏼👍🏼

Best one ive seen.
Thanks
The pipe down the corner is _inspired_
Bravo!

Very inspiring. You must be proud. I would if I had done this :)

Wonderful

Amazing!!! Keep up the great work!
Thank you!!
This is amazing. Very good quality build. I was wondering if you could achieve the same effect by using a TV / monitor screen and a digital photo?
I’m not exactly sure what you mean
impossible, you would not get the stereo vision (3D) effect when moving around
Very clever ✌️
Thanks
it makes me nervous like i could fall in. great job
Thanks
Amazing, I tried to make one and its really cool.
That's great!
Please send me details how can i made this at home 😊😊
@@learnandshare001 I can answer specific questions, but I don't have step-by-step instructions
Be interesting to do this on the inside of a medicine cabinet. Love it when guests snoop.
it wouldn't be hard to do
I'm gathering material to make one. Yours is the best I've seen so far. Do you have an IG on how you made it? I want to recreate some of what you did. Did you put the metal strapping right at the bottom, touching the mirror? You can't even tell there's a mirror. Phenomenal!
I don’t know what IG means🙃
The metal straps are a few Inches above the mirror
@@The-Stuff-I-Do Instagram. Just curious if you had this project posted somewhere with more pics.
@@The-Stuff-I-DoI'll buy you a coffee on Fri 😘 You've been so helpful. Thank you for sharing this project.
I want to try creating an infinity "doorway" using the same concept, I imagine it would look like an ancient cavernous walkway into the unknown. Think it's doable?
ABSOLUTLEY!!! I've been thinking of something similar. I want to position the mirrors to create the illusion of the walkway curving or leading up or down.
nice
Thanks
I was thinking of using a glass with reflective film for the lower mirror too: the lack of light on the back of the glass, facing the bottom of the table, should make it behave like a first surface mirror. Do you think it could be an option?
Btw, yours is mesmerizingly fantastic.
Not sure. it will probably work but the reflection might not be very bright. The good news is, if it doesn't work good enough, you can replace it later. So it's worth a try.
@@The-Stuff-I-Do Yes, I have that doubt too. If I decided to proceed with the creation of a DIY first surface mirror, my fear is that the reflective layer, now exposed to the atmosphere, would oxidize quickly. I read in your comments that you initially also thought about opting for this solution: did you have a workaround in mind to solve the oxidation problem? Can you suggest an idea to protect the reflective layer once exposed?
@@federicohapablap3571 I don't have any ideas, a spray clear coat may distort the image. epoxy would work, but then you'd have the same gap as with glass. Let me know if you figure something out.
Great Video. The first time where you do not see the mirrors.
What Type of glas/foil do you use for the top mirror?
It’s regular tempered glass with mirrored window tint from Lowe’s
That’s so awesome!!! What did you use for the two way mirror? Two way mirror film? Please tell me the brand name
Film, by Gila
Really good job on the build .... did you say you can use a regular mirror ??.. you jus gotta scrape the back off of it??
I've seen videos on how to remove the backing, but I ended up not needing to try it. You have to scrape off the paint without removing the mirror
Could you make a video showing how you made it and what supplies you got for it I’m trying to make one now and I’m just struggling where to find a few things you have in this video
I can answer questions about my build.
Best one of these I've see by far!! Do you have a build sheet of materials and sizes you care to share??
I added the measurements to the description. I was making this up as I went, trying to create what was in my head. It's made from 1x4 pine on the exterior, and wood from an old weather-beaten pallet on the inside. If you have specific questions, I'll answer them.
@@The-Stuff-I-Do Do you have an Amazon link to the lamps?

@@The-Stuff-I-Do Thanks! I've seen a few of these and some of the lights look goofy since the illusion shows the bottom of the light alternating. Yours looks the same from the bottom, hard to tell top from bottom!

Amazon. It’s actually an oil lamp that I wired for electric

I'll just say thanks
Edit: Nvm just understood, top ladder part has a bigger offeset, translating down.
Faked, the ladder prongs stick out oddly far on lower levels, meaning it couldnt have been repeated.
Does the film go on top or bottom of the top piece of glass?? And does the mirror side of the film face down or up?
Bottom of the top, mirror side facing down
This one is really my taste 😉
I decide to build myself but noticed that all privacy film have silver side as sticky side so film have to be apply from the top of the table 🤔 to work correctly. I was hope film can be apply from inside so won’t get damaged when objects are put on table, could someone clarify this problem please
Regards
Marek
I used Gila film and didn't have any problems sticking to the bottom side of the top glass
Gud stuff ! Money to be made with that 1 👍
Thanks
So amazing effect, wow it looks great!!
Can you tell me where I can buy this rebar steps? Can you sell similar to me (2pcs) ?
Any home improvement store should have 12" rebar, I just bent it to size.
Is one part of mineshaft and the bottom is a mirror and the top is a one-way mirror so you can see through and it makes the illusion of being endless
Did you use film or an actual mirror wanna buy some film but don't know what brand is good quality
The bottom is a mirror the top is film. The film I used is in the description.
Would you ever be open to creating documentation for one of these? I would love to build this.
2 one way mirrors + planks + lamp + pipe + rebar ladder piece + led light
Thats pretty mcuh it
What 2 way did you use on top . I’ve ordered the film off Amazon
The brand was Gila
This is amazing! Did you have film the process?

no, but I can answer any questions about building it
Hi I have a few questions. Is the top glass just a regular glass with mirror film or is it an actual one way mirror? Also how did you attach the top glass to the table? This is one of the better infinite tables I have seen! @@The-Stuff-I-Do
@@paramshah7241 It's 3/8" tempered glass with film. The box has inside walls and outside walls. The interior walls are 3/8" shorter than the exterior walls. The glass sits on top of the interior wall and the top frame anchors it in place.

I’ve seen videos on these as well as tensegrity tables and I really really wanna combine the two at some point
This one was one of the more satisfying illusions. Sometimes the LED’s are overly present, but this one was great
Thanks
Interesting, so the table surface would have the mirror illusion? That would look really cool in combination with the chains!
That's what I was researching for. I've for some really thin aircraft cable. I'm trying to figure out a design that won't be too heavy. I'm also worried that not having the sides will ruin the illusion, especially if the size requires us more than about six inches.

Magnifique travail, l'illusion est fantastique 👍

Very nicely done! Do you mind sharing how you “rusted” the hardware?
For the ladder rungs and nuts, I left them outside and sprayed them with water bottle a couple of times a day for about a month. For the metal straps and light switch, I painted them black and then with a multi color textured spray paint. The light I coated with spray stain.

INCREASED COMFORT: Reduces glare up to 82%, making interiors more comfortable
PROTECTS INTERIORS: Blocks up to 99% of UV rays, helping to keep your interior from fading

Is the height of importance for the illusion? I am afraid the height maybe too high for a coffee table..
The taller the better. But you can knock a few inches off and make it work. If you do two ladder rungs, keep them evenly spaced with half the distance from top and bottom : if 8” apart then make them 4” from top and 4” from bottom. This way the reflection keeps them evenly spaced
