For the lamp, if you had cut it in half and pressed it right up against the mirror, you could have doubled the depth effect by making the lamp appear to repeat half as often.
there would still be a noticable borderline cutting across the lamp, you can kinda see the 'sections' where the mirror starts in the video with the different shades. to ease the gap we could install the lamp horizontally.
@@bi_zha Take the cage bit from the discarded half, maybe sand it down a bit and throw it where it touches the glass. Might be able to hide the seam by pretending it is part of the fixture.
you need this in the corner of the room with one level with the floor, and another one in the ceiling, with a ladder on the wall in-between the two. That way it looks like a infinite shaft going up and down that you can access!
I appreciate the direct, immediate doing of the thing, with a minimum of unrelated discourse, self-promotion, etc. you don't waste our time. Well done.
@@gorillaau that's not a bad idea. Hinged on the top, with a trigger to turn the LED on when opened. Rigged up to a LED controller to add a flicker once in while.
A phenomena that has always fascinated me as a child sitting in a barber chair, you know, 2 large mirrors facing each other, you sitting at an angle and there it was. 🤔Still amazes me to this day.
Stairway (ladder) to heaven? Oh wait, it goes down, moving along... Nicely done, I now have you to thank for putting yet one more project on my bucket list.
Only people who are either jealous, or they can't do it and it makes them envious of others so much, that they get jealous of others. I think them kind of people do stuff like that, or they think they are better than others. Who wouldn't like infinity anything?
This is sick looking I have a gaming PC and the case has a infinity mirror in the front it really does look like magic and looks like I can stick my arm half way inside the PC case.
You are absolutely genuine and about as real as it gets brother. Thanks for the build, the ideas and the video. I'm definitely gonna turn one of these out here in the big Country of Texas....lol...
Reminds me of one of my favorite episodes of the old cartoon "Dungeons and Dragons" where the heroes got a treasure chest that, when opened, would lead to one of many places when you went inside. Cool project!
Thats looks BRILLIANT well done! I used to make similar things YEARS ago when I was on the road as a DJ an 'infinity light box' very big in the 80's! always baffles many people who kept looking around the back of the boxes 😅🤣😂🤣😅👍
I love this project. Really good idea having a mineshaft. With regard to the router, you could have made your own fence for it. Thin piece of hardboard screwed to the base with the shiny side down and then fix a small strip of wood to one side to give you the size gap you need.
Great video. I like that you include the problem solving portions of the build. I run into this thought process on all projects and it is part of what I enjoy most. Thanks for the info!
Hi Wiz´s Woodwork. Very nice coffee table and illusion, or is it ;) . I am making leather and silver things as hobby but perhaps i will try to do this as well.
Great project. As an alternative to routing the top mirror rebate on the almost finished table, you could have easily created the rebate on your table saw at the cutting stage. This would be quicker, easier and provide razor sharp edges if done carefully. Thanks for posting.
A friend recommend this video. She knows I have a great appreciation for wood working! She sat with me as I watched the video. She patiently waited without spoiling the end. Throughout the video, I'm commenting on how Wiz embodies the qualities she used to describe him. The end result appears on screen and I lose my mind! Magnificent work, Wiz. Thank you, Tig.

The light was the only thing I disliked...so half a light mounted against the mirror at the bottom would create half the repetition?
@@Rob86er Yes, exactly. Though he would of course have half the space to fit a bulb inside, so the electronics would probably need to be modified too.
Genius.

YES
The perfect next step (excuse the pun). Good thinking.
Even just having it inset level with the floor with an open trapdoor over it would be pretty cool.
This is how you get into the backrooms
“I definitely need to buy more clamps…” said every woodworker ever.
🤣🤣 oh yes !
I often make my own.
Haha thats true
@@andrewallason4530 I'll have to make some soon 👍got too many projects and a new puppy 😎
That is indeed very true
That's by far the best infinity mirror idea I've ever seen, extremely cool!
I think this is the best possible implementation of an infinity mirror. Very inspiring.
I'd love to hide an underground entrance this way, it's perfect.
"Oh it looks like a mine shaft, ha har!" ->Slides table to reveal mine shaft. -> :0
I appreciate the direct, immediate doing of the thing, with a minimum of unrelated discourse, self-promotion, etc. you don't waste our time. Well done.
I'm glad this showed up in my recommended list. Such an awesome project. Going to make this myself. Can finally have my "secret underground bunker".
Build a hatch cover over this shaft and you are done. Maybe add a sign saying "do not enter".

@@_Ganjatobi There you go. Perhaps a padlock, inadvertently left unlocked.
Oh, the possibilities here.
Some genius commenters here. Nice ideas!
Your chisels might not be sharp but your imagination and movitation are double sharp young feller. Bloody well done.
trippiest thing i have seen all year in 2022. I think it's the the way my brain works, this type of thing resonates with me, Kudos!
Pretty cool vid! Creative use for the infinity mirror. I believe all the comments and viewers agree ;)

Finally a good use of the infinity mirror thing, not just dumb LED strips. Awesome
Now this is how you impress and entertain your coffee guests.
i think of this table everyday
That is Ultra cool, Job well DONE!!!
who has the audacity to dislike this amazing creation

That actuality looks COOL. I'm gonna make one. It's a good conversation piece
A similar idea would be a train tunnel for a kids room . Mounted vertically on the wall.
Thanks for this top- notch video. My wife & I are looking forward to seeing more.
The algorithm chose you to recommend when it spied on me and heard me talking about infinity mirrors! Congrats!
Love this infinity mirror table I want one
Better get building then lol
coolest thing i seen in years furniture wise .... great stuff mate
Clever idea! I'd like one of these to mess with my 6 y.o. grandson. He'd be so anxious to climb down into our "gold mine".

That is sooooo cooool to install this on a boat.👍👍👍
This is my kinda table~! Love it.
Omg. I am speechless. This is amazing. What a cool idea beautifully executed.
thats far out coolest thing such great job Wiz's
Very nice. Now I know how to build a miniature structure with an interior that goes on forever.

Nice to find a British dude!!
Most of these types of vids are American.
I used to run a business building furniture from recycled pallets
Brilliant. I love how you worked out a method to get the result you wanted with what you had at hand.

This is gorgeous! I wanna climb right in!
I enjoyed this video and I can totally relate to the tool deficit.
That’s the coolest thing I’ve seen all week
That's way cool. I'm going to do this in my dinning room floor I think. I have an old floor furnace I'm taking out and it's the perfect size
Excellent
Tip. If short on clamps, use a straight timber to cover the entire distance then distribute your clamps evenly throughout
I can give this a thumbs-up, for sure.
the best video to this date on infinity mirror.
Easily one of the coolest applications of the infinity mirror idea, bravo!
That looks BRILLIANT. Love it and want one in my house now.... cheers mate.
wow.....great job man. thanks for sharing
Sweet, that looks really cool. Thank you for sharing.

An idea: Put a small speaker inside and occasionally make it sound like some miners are banging around "down there."
Looks good. Few things are as satisfying as creating something amazing from mundane pieces

I'm definitely going to build one of these. I worked in a gold mine in my 20s. It didn't look like this but it's still super cool.
