actually, Saitama is very motivated when it comes to strong opponents. the only time he experiences true happiness in the anime is when he was getting beaten up trying to fight the Mole men in his dreams.
The secret power syatem of his reality is obsession: if you are obsessed with something, that becomes you. Think crablante, the lizard guy with the tongue, the ultra-custom whatever dude that tricked himself out. They all deliberately state that their obsessions turned them into monsters, but crabs can't make you a crab monster no matter how many you eat, You can't become a lizard monster by sheer force of horny pervert will, and the car customizer guy had no knowledge of cybernetic enhancement or alteration, yet all of them did gain power by the force of their obsession. Applying this to Saitama, I believe his training regimen worked in making him the strongest hero, when so many other heroes do so much more training, because he was obsessed with, quote, "Becoming the strongest hero, who could defeat any enemy in only one punch". Thus, were 682 put in saitama's universe, Saitama would One-Punch it.
I love how the VA for this channel is putting more personality in his voice. He seems more like a staff member rarhee than a youtuber. Why is everyone giving me the suggestions?? Like dude I'm a commenter, are these bots?
Send it to EQUESTRIA gen 4. They either befriend it. Turn it to stone. Send it to the moon or Discord, the god of chaos, snaps it away. And there is Celestia controlling the stars. She could trap 682 with the sun... Or Starlight traps it in a timeloop. last but not least : trap it in Tartarus for good... Yes. MLP is that deadly....
There is a way to beat this thing, hear me out. Instead of focusing on disrupting it's physicality ( destroy ) hence it's probably a memetic defense/tulpa kind of deal this thing has. The S.C.P fondation should focus on disrupting it's mind with mind alterning scp and cognito hazard and there is a reason why specifically cognito hazards : If the reptile ''adapt'' to a cognito hazard, it is forced to remove some of it's senses and ability to perceive the world, so in theory, we could use it's very strenght ( adapting ) as a weakness by forcing it to adapt to specific cognito hazard or a multitude of them at the same time with 2 goals in mind ; 1: Make it vegetative or unresponsive to stimulis or/and make the thing passive or force the reptile into a paradoxes if it somehow adapt to completely opposite cognito hazard that in function are convergently different. To seal the deal, we need to do it in a either low humes or high humes field so that the tulpamanity of humanity WILL NOT remanifest it into it's default state if somehow the true nature of the SCP is based into the collective consciousness as a memetic entity. Addendum : keeping the lizard scp busy adapting to convergently/opposite threat will force the lizard into an adaptation loops, therefor neutralizing it permanently if not ( SOMEHOW ), it will reveal a lot about the true nature of this scp. 3 reason is to discover if the adaptation the lizards does is conscious or automatic, and if so which period of length do they last. Understanding these meta rules will help to contain it permanently, we need to stop thinking like the GOC and more like SCP with esoteric means of neutralizations. 1 : conscious adaptation = anti-memetic kill agent, make it lose IQ and then unable to consciously adapt anymore, this meet the victory condition. 2: Automatic adaptation, you can trap the lizard into a loop of adaptations.
next thing we know, it'll adapt and have the ability to fight others with cognitohazards, which would probably end up with at least an XK class scenario.
This is also promising, but with all promising ideas on how to kill him, this channel will just say “BuT WhAt If ScP 682 AdApTs To ThAt??? tHeN iT wOuLd ReAlLy Be DaNgErOus!!!”
The answer is surprisingly simple isn't it? Well first of all there's two options here. Number one you can't actually kill scp 682 so that venture I'd say is in 99% of the time a completely futile attempt. So the only real option left is finding a way to not kill scp 682 but to put him away in a space away from us. Where he would finally get to be what he seemingly seems to want to be, which is left alone away from any life. In other words sort of like putting him in the negative zone from Superman. But without actually making him feel like he's imprisoned or threatened. Because that right there is what I believe actually triggers scp 682 to activate his adaptability. So we would need to make sure that SCP 682 feels like it's his choice, and not ours (the foundation). Since as we all know he actively loves to spite the foundation. But if killing is your goal, I'd say that's not really up to us per say but up to scp 682 himself. Let me explain, has anyone ever wondered why it is that scp 682 chooses to stay in the foundation's custody? Yes I know what said "chooses", due to the hard to destroy reptile's adaptability containment in the way it stands currently for 682 should theoretically not actually even be possible. Scp 682's whole gimmick is that he can adapt to anything at will seemingly right? He also posseses extremely high levels of physical strength, indurance, and is hyper intelligent. There is no fucking way that the foundation or any group for that matter could ever hope to actually contain scp 682. I know this seems like an unrelated tangent but stick with me here. If 682 is really this powerful then why does, he stay in foundation custody? My guess is it's largely due to scp 682 actually low key wanting the foundation to succeed in their attempts to end his life. But any subsequent failure highly infuriates and frustrates scp 682 which is why he breaches containment and goes on a rampage killing staff. It's likely for two reasons, number one to vent obviously, and number two to wipe the slate clean as it were and forcing the foundation to acquire smarter and better staff until finally one attempt works and he can rest in peace. But due to the nature of scp 682's powers and his own body's survival instinct he subconsciously won't let himself die. So my suggestion is that we need a strong memetic scp that can effect natural instinct in specific ways. Like making someone/something subconsciously accept dying and willing to let it happen. After all scp 682 is still an animal at the end of the day right? In that instance scp 682 might even go as far as straight up giving the foundation the actual solution needed to kill one of his kind. I came to this theory after reading the "end of death" scp story where people were actively said to have been hoping to die after a hundred years of not being able to do so. Due to many factors but mostly revolving around existentialist boredom. And that was only a hundred years imagine that mental dread from 682's perspective of several hundred thousand years. Life must have gotten old for him a looooooong time ago. Anyway rant over thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
I would like to call something out here: according to the story, the Gate Guardian COULD actually kill SCP-682, but chose not to. I highly recommend looking into the story, as it’s actually really good
honestly, my personal solution would be to incapacite scp-682 (method can vary) then put him into scp-2071, and set the release date to the estimated heat death of the universe.
Hear me out, assign the unkillable lizard to a new SCP number, something like SCP-89000, then assign some random useless doll on SCP-682, then destroy the new SCP-682, now you killed SCP-682, and you have to somehow deal with SCP-89000 now
But he's been destroyed in other realities only to respawn. Destroy reality and the concept of death in the universe (it can't cross over) dies without causing 682s death first and 682 respawns in another reality. Everyone you know is dead and 682 is.. still not dead and bothering others.
@@gmork1090 No he isn't SCP 682 can die. If he couldn't why do you think he allows himself to feel pain? Because pain helps with adaptation. If he couldn't actually die he wouldn't need that factor. Plus multiple SCP 001 have killed him
@@Gojo13201 pain is a factor needed for multiple reasons like identifying what’s wrong and identifying if there’s something around you doing something bad to you,it’s why humans have it
Actually, giving SCP-682 a Twitter account could cause mass death. Remember when that one nasty D-Class talked to 682? 682's opinions made the D-Class so depressed that he died not long after. Now imagine if 682 went trending on Twitter.
Well actually 682 can't really use a Twitter account because he is in a tank that's filled with acid which will dissolve the phone Nobody gives him an indestructible Nokia phone though those survive acid
He thus probably die from the cringe and toxicity posted by certain people, thus proving further that twitter is a heaping pile of dumpster fire and saving us from 682
After hours of searching lore on SCP 682 I have found out that is the snake that let Adam and Eve taste the apple. It makes sense as when he crossed-tested with the gate guardian he called the guardian a pretender and said the garden was far south from here. He also claims that his immortality was the punishment for suggesting the apple.
seeing how one of the SCP-001s is "The Database" which means that the foundation might be dependant on what the authors in the wiki write, just ask the author who created him to kill him and presto.
I'd say the witch child suggestion would probably work. I think the plot reason why they keep her asleep is cuz her powers are so OP they're broken. Sure she's "dangerous" but she's never actually done anything evil apart from making a d-class disappear and even then she brought him back when she was made to feel guilty about it.
I also think the O, death idea would work, the likelihood of SCP 682 coming back is slim with the embodiment of death roaming around and if he COULD come back to the SCP dimension then death wouldn’t be following it if it was able to make it out alive. I think carrying SCP 682 in a helicopter in SCP: O Death and then finding the death entity and flying near it or landing next to it (sacrificing the driver or using remote controls to pilot the helicopter) give SCP 682 to SCP O Death and then seal the entry way permanently.
Don’t forget, 682 reflects previous sound waves he’s heard or adapted so that’s why he will most likely reflect them back and may not die due to his resistance to non existence itself. Saitama will most likely kill him, he’s killed the unkillable and the immortal before
i love how when they said "give us his name" i went "use the shinigami eyes". like bro, if you have a death note then there's also probably a shinigami there too whose only there for shits and giggles.
How about introducing him to Connor, the dude with the regenerating imortality. Maybe they can bond and Connor could somehow get it to tell him it's weakness, since I'm preety sure sco 682 pities humans forced to be tortured, and Connor has been tortured a lot.
@@queenofmoons720 as I stated earlier, the goal of this is to try to get lizard boi to spill out some of its secrets and maybe weaknesses that can be used, since he is always lonely, maybe he would become somewhat vunrelable with a friend and might slip up, allowing SCP foundation to deal with the lizard once and for all
One way I think you could “kill” 682 is by first knowing what the word “death” means to the big lizard. After that, you could try warping its definition of it to the normal one. After this, redo the test between it and SCP-689. It should theoretically put an end to scp-682
Changing personal definitions doesn't change reality, though. Like, if you could brainwash the lizard into thinking life is death and death is life, what do you think would actually happen?
Joachim Walle In the experiment between 682 vs 689, the big lizard did die, but came back to life due to it having a different definition of the word “death.” It even states this as SCP Explained said it after it came back to life. Perhaps changing its definition of it could finally kill it. Edit: To answer your question, it would be a form of sleeping when alive and active when dead. Basically a murderer from the grave.
I still say that you guys should just put him together with 053 forever, she's happy, he's happy, and there's no containment issues. He only reacted badly because they got separated that one time. Don't separate them and there's no problem. It won't kill him, but it will permanently pacify him since she's immortal.
@@Axis33008 nope, just someone who thinks the dynamic between the two is adorable as heck. Who doesn't love a big, scary monster that acts like a puppy with a kid? It's super wholesome
That part!!!!!! It's two creatures born of hatred. The little girl inspires it in all other living things, whereas 682 is the result of humanities own hubris(why destroy it when it just hates?) Given the results of seeing the two together form a sense of symbiosis, she's broken because the curse keeps her alone. He's broken because his curse makes him too 'dangerous' to be left alive. My whole opinion on this is simple. Let those who can ease the suffering of others do just that. Maybe it's not destroying 682 we need to focus on, but understanding it. With the little girl we're given a countermeasure to study and understand why it feels the way it does. Sure it might take years before they start really breaking those barriers, but 682 is nothing more than a misunderstood creature. I get it, it hates and wants to destroy us, I want to know why, what really happened to imprint that much loathing on a species yet there is the one exception.
There have been quite a few "almost" killings of SCP-682, so I feel like if there were to be anything that could take down SCP-682, it would have to be the combined effort of lots of different powerful SCPs
So from the sounds of it, 682 is impossible to kill by any means because it adapts to anything, though in my opinion, that itself is the key to killing it, simply put it in a situation where it’s solution to escaping is to permanently die. I know it’s sounds borderline impossible/contradictory, but it should work. I initially thought that SCP-3999 accomplish this, but something tells me that’s not the best of ideas.
Yes, that something is the scripted plot armor. The lizard won't die because the lizard won't die even if they can't explain why. He just won't die. Because toddler rules say so. ROFL
He's just going to survive forever so mfers can milk everyone's ideas lmao clearly he's meant to not die to any ideas, kind of like a stubborn child playing a game😂
@@williammcleroy558 Also note, he stopped existing and came back. He did not adapt in this scenario. Think about it, he could not adapt, because he did not exist. So he must have come back. He did not gain the power to make things in his surrounding area stop existing, nor did he atomize everything he touched after getting de-atomized by the Gate Guardian. So he did not adapt, as adapting gives him temporary powers related to whatever he just survived. He did not adapt. He came back. SCP 682 is a conceptual necessity. If he stops existing, he will simply resume existing immediately afterwards. Interestingly, the only time he did stop living is when all life on Earth also died. Maybe his existence is contingent on the survival of life in a universe. If everything else is dead, he dies too.
valid and probably suggestion that would kill the reptile narrator: he would adapt that xit specifically to counter him/won't think about the ending cause it could end humanity for non reasonable reason.
In a recent video (Sep 30, 2021), it was shown that The Black Moon did succeed in outliving (often by killing) all sentient form of life in the entire multiverse. This means that either SCP-682 died of old age or The Black Moon succeeded in killing him. There is absolutely no reason for The Black Moon to ally itself with anyone else : it is even more omnicidal and more powerful then SCP-682. So, all we need to do is use SCP-294 to create a powerful Black Moon Attracting Substance, give it to The Hard To Destroy Reptile (who won't 'adapt' to it, since he doesn't know what it does and it'll be given to him as part of a regular meal, so he won't even feel suspicious of it) and drop him far away, on another planet, in another dimension. The Black Moon will come to deal with him. This time, there's absolutely nothing SCP-682 can do. After all, we know he's less powerful than O Death and The Black Moon is more powerful then O Death. And, of course, The Black Moon will not team up with The Hard To Destroy Reptile. Sorry, the lizard is toast, this time. Alternatively, just don't bother. Live your life as usual. Let the events of The Black Moon video play out, but, instead of saying 'let there be light', say 'let there be light without The hard To Destroy Reptile'.
@@just-a-fnf-fan Unless it's retconned (ie : by saying the O Death version of the Reptile was just pretending to be dead), it's made very clear that O Death can kill the Reptile once and for all. Also, by the end of The Black Moon Sep 30 2021), it's revealed that the one and only sentient being left in the entirety of the multiverse is the Administrator. Even if the Reptile had 'adapted' by playing the waiting game and hiding in the bunker (by becoming extremely small or leaving just one cell, hair or drop of blood in an impossible to find location, in order to come back after the Black Moon is defeated), the Administrator could still erase him from existence just after : By saying 'Let there be light, but without the Hard To Destroy Reptile', instead of just 'Let there be light', he could reboot the multiverse and bring back all sentient beings except the Reptile.
Honestly I think we all can agree the “hard to kill reptile” is not a suitable name for SCP 682. It’s obvious that the better name is “The Unkillable Reptile” with that said, why not just throw him into a different dimension so our dimension wouldn’t have to deal with him.
I might have a better solution. During the Cross-test between 682 and "The Gate Guardian" 682 mentions that the gate guardian is not Uriel, thus suggesting that the true Uriel should be able to kill the beast. Ask 343 to call Uriel down to destroy 682?
The Twitter one has to be the most dangerous attempt ever, if you send 682 onto Twitter in hopes of it cancelling him then if he adapts to Twitter then there is nothing in any universe that could save us
They say, "Time makes fools of us all." With the SCP Foundations near-limitless amount of resources and thousands of SCP's at their disposal. They should, in theory, be able to create something that speeds up time. Using that in a controlled environment, on SCP 682, you might be able to age it to death, regardless of what his natural life expectancy may be. If it doesn't work, it may mean that 682 doesn't age. If it does work, it could happen faster than his ability to adapt. If his life expectancy is absurdly long (meaning he would be able to adapt), it wouldn't really matter. He will already outlive all of us, even without the experiment.
Its just that the issue where the creator of 682 specifically wrote it in such a way that it will adapt and ignore all other things that will attempt to get rid of it. In the realm of roleplay this is called “God Modding” being invulnerable to all effects, damage, etc. Therefore the actual way to terminate 682 is by indirectly affecting 682. Attacking through the 4th wall and attacking the creation of the idea and concept of 682 itself. Because you are attacking the concept of 682 and not 682 itself, its adaptation abilities do not function because they aren’t happening within the concept of the SCP universe. For example, something that alters the concept , origin, or creation of something from a meta perspective. Not an attack on “you cease to exist” but an assault on the moment before the idea for 682 was conceived. Thereby attacking before the concept of adaptation or even the idea of 682 ever spawned. Thereby 682 would’ve never existed in the first place. The adaptation and gaining of powers only affects it so long as its in universe, and acts upon it. You would be attacking the creator of 682 and not 682 itself. Meaning its adaptation has nothing to adapt to because it isnt being affected by anything nor is it the target. And because the creator of 682 is human (meta) they are susceptible to any and all effects.
I think an alternate reality version of the Foundation actually tried something like this. SCP-6820 is records of that Foundation's attempt to destroy SCP-682 by erasing the concept of it from all conscious minds, only for them to screw it up causing it to backfire horribly.
I honestly find it ironic that 682 was nicknamed, "The Unkillable Lizard," even though it mostly resembles an Orca carcass in advanced levels of decomposition. No wonder why it's so aggressive. It's a sea panda with legs that is fueled by nothing but pure, crackhead determination. Though, I do think it would be a good idea to get as much intel on SCP- 682's weaknesses, from SCP- 5094 as possible.
@@blackskeletor Take a look at 682 and an Orca skull. They are quite similar. Plus, Orcas are some of the only animals in the world that will kill for fun. Sounds a lot like 682 if you ask me!
3:05 I am convinced that the gate guardian actually just held back because it didn't wanna become the foundations new garbage disposal. And Saitama would probably be interested. He's constantly searching for an actual challenge.
The whole point of 682 is to show why its Secure, Contain, Protect, not Kill, Maim, Burn. It's supposed to be evidence of the whole philosophy behind the foundation. To that end, I'm still not sure why they haven't had it move in with 053 permanently, maybe it was mentioned in extended canon, but I don't remember anything pointing to the reaction between the two being temporary. Also, I always wondered why they didn't do work to figure to what ends 682 adapts, it seems like there's an obvious metaphysical link between its own ruined body and constant hatred and the way it is treated with constant attempts at destruction. Maybe the solution is to heal it, instead of kill it. The fact that it isn't a creature of "god" and isn't killed by anything tied to instant-death feels like it reaffirms that it is some sort of anti-life being, and that "killing" it is a nonsensical concept.
Now here me out. Simply find an alternate dimension where Pokémon exist and slap a Haxorus with mold breaker in the cell with 682. Mold breaker allows Pokémon to attack others while ignoring their abilities, so on theory the haxorus could just use something like Draco meteor and one shot the SCP without hit be able to use its abilities of infinite adaptation and regeneration.
But if 682 is playing by the rules of Pokémon, he won't die even if Haxorus one-shots him; he'll just faint. And I doubt he'll need a Revive or a Pokémon Center to get back up.
Easy: Find a "empty" capsule of SCP-888, and use it to remove the Murderous Intent of 682. "Testing has confirmed that it is possible to loosely direct what memory is excised, by concentrating on a specific memory before touching the stone. If a subject handles a sample of 888 with no specific thought in mind, the memory lost is essentially random, though it may be chosen by the subject's subconscious." Since 682 literally ALWAYS wants to cause pain and suffering... this would be the only memory 888 would target. Also since there is no finite limit to the size of the memory or feeling that can be captured, the adaptive property of 682 wouldn't overcome the transference. It would totally, and irreversibly, pacify the beast. 🎉
Write the title “A man who found out and told the foundation the true name of SCP-682” with SCP-826. Then write the name you are told in the death note
Yuppp can't stop imagining the SCP like "screw it let's destroy our whole reality that should do it, it maybe at the cost of all of us getting erased from existence but we still proved our point we killed it"😂😂🤣🤣
Have there ever been attempts to use multiple concurrent kill methods? Every example I've seen uses only one, and generally involves some degree of success before adaptation is complete. If adaptation cannot occur simultaneously, one need only use concurrent kill strategies to extend the amount of time for eradication. For example. Method A takes 2 seconds to eradicate 682, but 682 can adapt in 1.1 seconds. Method B also takes 2 seconds to eradicate 682, but 682 can adapt in 1.1 seconds. If methods A and B can occur simultaneously, but 682 cannot adapt simultaneously, then the combined time to kill would be 2 seconds, while 682 would need 2.2 seconds to adapt, resulting in eradication. Even if adaptation time is significantly shorter than time to kill, if adaptation cannot work concurrently, this effect could be expanded upon with more methods until adaptation time eclipses ttk. This had probably been tried already and I'm just not familiar with the documentation, but I feel the point is worth mentioning as it wouldn't surprise me if 682 research has become too tunnel visioned on a "magic bullet" solution when multiple blenders would work just fine.
I feel like 682 is not a “natural” creature (At least not natural for the scp universe). Literal God said “He’s not one of mine.” From what I can tell the foundation has never tried anything on the ritual and magic side to try and defeat 682. Perhaps there’s some kind of ritual that could seal it away.
Ah yes because sealing rituals always go so well. It's not like there's a planet destroyer one chain away from wiping the whole planet out or anything.
the lore strongly suggest (without confirming) that scp-682 is one of the Scarlet King's children. God saying "he's not one of mine" is one of the biggest hint at that.
It’s a long shot because there’s no guarantee that they would work with us but SCP-001 Atonement (of the Ouroboros Cycle) has proven to be able to destroy any SCP in existence by destroying the alternate reality that they come from.
I think anything that actually has a chance to kill it they will write off with “but what if it adapts?” Ya don’t get anywhere by being cautious. Give scp001 the spear of the non believer and tell him to fight scp 682. If we die we die.
You could always bring 682’s parents back, it would probably be a bad idea but nothing can be more angry than a mother disappointed with her child, it would either end the destruction once and for all or be an XK-class end of the world scenario
their parents died to 173, while 682 had a clear shot of defeating the monster, chances are they wouldn't be able to inflict the damage necessary to kill him (chances are you need to kill him on the smallest level of matter possible to kill him), or just lead them to 173's chamber, while the parents are terrified, 682 flees to cause more mayhem
682's parents Father: The scarlet king Mother's: The 7 brides of the scarlet king Status on the parents: The scarlet king is another dimension waiting to be free and the mother died while giving birth the other mother's are stuck in an SCP site with staff trying to stop them from giving birth and one killed herself with a sergeant knife
- Have Ghost Rider’s use his Penance Stare that is known to defeat beings as powerful as Thanos himself - Speaking of Thanos: use the infinity gauntlet to wipe it out of existence - Fly it into the Sun itself so it’s constantly burning to death and regenerating with no way of coming back due to Sun’s gravitational pull (until the Sun dies by which point we’d all be either dead or off to a new galaxy) - Have Dr Strange trap it in the mirror dimension - Have Hank Pim shrink it to the size of an ant with Pim Particle and leave it in that state - Have Deadpool fight it who would break the 4th wall and delete its wiki entry
One: Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider was mentally broken for a few hours by the fact the “We are all god’s vomit”, and the other Spirits of Vengeance don’t have anything against 682 just yet. Besides, they have better things to do than jump around the omniverse. Two: the Infinity Gauntlet won’t work outside the reality it comes from, and the Foundation has confirmed that there aren’t infinity stones in their multiverse. The Snap won’t work. Three: How would we fly it into the sun? A rocket? What if it just reroutes the rocket towards us? Another anomaly? How do we know it won’t just kill them? Four: Would we be able to restrain it long enough for Doctor Strange to trap it? And would that even be permanent given the circumstances? Five: *Pym, but that’s besides the point. Technically, this just means he’s been compressed to the size of an ant, so if he breaks out of what we hold him in, how much havoc would that wreak? Six: We already tried, but the only way to delete an article is to have high enough permission, or break into The Administrator’s server logs. Or take down the Internet and make amnestics in our reality to erase it from memory, but that’s really complicated and currently impossible, no matter how many universes he breaches. Plus, it turns out that, despite the insanity, he’s moral enough to not want to kill us all and breach our reality. So no dice.
@@streamsniper4669 You serious? So basically don’t put 682 in any alternate dimension with a universe-destroying beast, because 682 will just make friends with it and bring it back to 682’s dimension to wreak havoc.
"Daleks, Xenomorphs, and Predators combined" Well, given the fact that billions of Daleks have tried to kill the Doctor and failed, I doubt that 682 would be easy
So... short answer is "anything that could kill it, wont be used on it cause it might just adapt and survive it and become more powerful". Seems kinda op, in a boring way.
It just sounds like a kid trying to find all the ways of making his beast survive. At this point I am questioning why does this youtube channel gives him so much plot armor, maybe the guy wrote the scp ?
@@blizz2748 The thing though is that that is almost doomsday from DC. The only difference is that Doomsday dies and comes back while the hard to kill lizard doesn't usually die. I heard in one story about something called SCP-666½-J - The Roaring Flames of Hell that SCP-682 was given 666½-J. Rather than going through the torment, 682 just decided to stop living. Edit: Since this video brings up characters like One Punch Man and Lady Dimitrescu, it does not seem like whether or not something is SCP canon is a concern here.
Well since acp deals with alternate realities and reality bending like the witch child I don't think it's impossible to get a one punch man to fight 682. I don't think they could really do much against it though since it could probably survive even after it's atoms are split.
Use SCP-158, The Soul Extractor. Or shove it into SCP-022, The Morgue, with a friendly D-class. If we can't kill SCP-682, just displace or replace the consciousness that pilots its body. The soulless body cannot grow a new soul, because 682's consciousness would either be trapped in a jar, or in a non-anomalous human body, rendering it unable to remotely control its own genetic adaptability. The friendly D-class inhabiting 682's body will be dubbed *"SCP-682-B"* and will be far more co-operative with the foundation. If we go the 158 route, I would recommend creating a jar from an anomalous indestructible material to contain its soul, just to be safe. Just because its soul can no longer adapt, doesn't mean it can't move. If all else fails, tell Dr Bright he's got a new host.
Don't kill him. Launch him into space on a trajectory that will take him out of the galaxy, out of the Local Group, and is highly unlikely to come into contact with anything, ever.
it would need to be asleep or restrained for such thing to happen, eventually, any gas would be useless to put him to sleep, chains wouldt work eithet, the acid hi currently swims in, it would help him in 0 gravity, plus he would adapt to survive in space and to navigate in space on it's own, also, we know that in space there are some scp we would rather not face against him, it would make him stronger and far more dangerous, that would lead to an XK-class scenario
Haven't watched the other kill SCP-682 videos, but has anyone suggested letting him stay with SCP-053? It won't kill him, but maybe neutralize him which is the next best thing. Plus he lets her put tiny hats on him, and that's adorable.
On paper it’s a good idea yes it can make 053 Happy however it won’t neutralize the creature. Also if you try removing 053 from her room 682 will mess up the guards to protect her good plan though.
@@superbowsersilva Valid. Neutralize was probably too strong a word, but 053 could at least keep him mildly docile longer than other methods they've tried so far. Definitely not a permanent solution to the problem though. Also, cannot stress this enough; tiny hats on the killer reptile. Super cute.
since we know that 999 managed to cheer it up for as long as they were in contact, all we need to do is find out what gives it it's ability to create that sense of pure joy and use it to make sure 682 doesn't kill everything it sees
That "can adapt to and assimilate any attack used against it" trait is one hell of an ex machina. Some of the more clever suggestions can simply be written off in this way, even without more specific precedent
SCP Explained - Story & Animation: It may come as a surprise but it’s parents didn’t actually name it the “Hard to destroy reptile“ Me: I didn’t know the Scarlet King cared enough about his children to give them names.
OK, try this! So I know a few people have stated that they should put him into scp-2935. BUT if you put him in the previous dimention to ours he would bring it into ours if he escapes. SO put him into THE ONE BEFORE THAT. That way when he goes into the next one (the one just before ours) he will bring O DEATH with him into that dimention and it will happen again in that dimention. Given he will be the only thing it happen to since he would be the only thing "alive" in that dimention, but still. To do this go to SCP-294 and type in SCP-507 power controll potion. PLUS, just to be extra safe, put him on the other side of the universe in that dimention.
Use that one SCP child that can create anything through portals and create the exact counter to SCP-682 then have the two battle it out or have the counter cancel out the original, like he did with the black tentacles and he destroyed them with white ones coming out of his own portal.
The death note one could work if you take the "shinigami eye deal" which reveals things names. But that also assumes that 682 has a name other than scp-682 "the hard to destroy reptile"
Perhaps putting 682 in True solitary confinement and labeling his time inside as 'infinite' or 'indefinite' to keep him inside permanently. Or if a date has to be written down, make it the highest conceivable number, making his stay so long that by the time he's let out, the universe would have already been destroyed.
Use the coffee machine and punch it “ dumb fuck juice” and have the lizard take a sip by baking it into an scp 682 special. Make it to much of a dumbass to adapt to protect itself . Then just shoot it dead
@Lord_Dragon I think Bammer forgot that a black hole is just extreme gravity, not an actual hole that leads to nothingness or complete/absolute destruction
Simply write the formula that generates the missing number on 682's hide and wait for the formula to find the right pattern and watch 682's destruction one molecule at a time...
This would probably work similarly to how they used SCP-●●|●●●●●|●●|● . The part where the formula is written on disappears, but overall, SCP-682 survives.
Well technically they already tried that. 826 where they literally wrote in a monster who should have killed 682. But of course failed and the books title even changed. 682 might have the ability to actually adapt to the story we write and change it so he would win regardless.
I suggest using an scp who wont stop attacking like "times up" or "vermin god" If 682 didn't die it would probably be an endless battle so we wouldn't have to worry about those two scp's ever again
@@dominodog1543 No cuz the ice continuously freezes anything that contains water or something so even if the air is moist it will freeze it. So scp 682 would continuously be frozen . But if not it was worth a shot.
They should just settle for perpetual containment at this point. Another dimension with a one way ticket would be my best bet. There’s plenty of SCPs that could do that
Its seems this SCP knows how to naturally bend time and/or "fix time" around it, kinda like a reverse and repair type of ability. It would it be easier to find the cell in his body and neutralize it and/or put it in dormant? Cause if you understand the papers about it, the cells or molecules of the body is at a space of time where death is not valuable or just basically "Death's time never comes, it sleeps in place or go back in time of healthier and younger skin." It looks like its natural as well, finding about its environment, DNA from parents, and more about itself threw that way might be able to figure out a reverse and/or permanent damage to his cells. Or even speeding the process of it, Doesnt he/she have a time frame for his death? If so..... wouldnt speeding up his internal clock or even slow down his healing to where he/she can fell apart of his own body?
The only known parents of 682 is the scarlet king, though I believe the scarlet king is in some other universe, so it'll be difficult to track him down (and impossible to get any data from him and survive), and a maiden, who is dead, and probably disposed of by now- 682 is impossible to kill, reason being that he adapts in a drastic rate that he is immune to whatever it is trying to kill him, he's been thrown to the sun, and survived, while his adaptation ability mutated his body to a drastic level that he was as big as the planet- he's been in multiple doomsday events and survived, though its been theorized that an scp named "O' death" can kill him, though that also brings a doomsday event. he's also been cut down in an atomical level once, and still survived- the damn thing is just impossible to kill to say the least.
Its mother was a human woman his dad is the crimson king and heres what they need to do build a spaceship around his acid filled cell now ya the gate guardians sword is as hot as the sun but there are much hotter stars out there find the hottest ine we can and have the ship remotely driven into that star destroying it on an atomic possibly sub atomic level
SCP vs this reptile is the new modern version of Wile E Coyote vs the Road Runner. I am sure back in the day people debated different ways he could catch the Road Runner and they all failed.
You are actually skipping over the 3 that could kill it. The most obvious one is the plot armor. If the author of 682 decided to remove said plot armor 682 could be killed easily. The question is how the scp foundation could reach and influence one of their own multiverse's authors. (That's also what 343 meant by "not one of mine")
Scp-6000, the O5 council's answer to being fictitious- it's a memetic scp designed to kill scp authors. if they manipulated it into mind control, they could remove the plot armour Edit: as this isn't any sort of reality warping or in-universe anomalous effect it would probably work Edit the second: I meant scp 5999
If chocolate enhanced his abilities, then it seems the amount of energy 682 has means if you could drain its energy you could deal enough damage to kill it before 682 could regenerate.
Not really. It only affects speed. 682 will heal no matter what the damage is and no matter how long you beat on him even if he has no access to energy but if he has no access to outside energy or mass he takes longer and longer to accomplish it. The healing will never STOP, but there are stories where 682 claims it took him centuries to heal or where he needed to be reborn through a ritual.
682 is sentient, this means it can learn. Instead of trying to kill it, start by using the tickle monster to lower its guard and use D-class personnel to start off with trying to extend the bridge of what can make it happy. If possible, over time it may be possible to instead of failing to kill it, trying to befriend it, while counter intuitive, may yield better results. And on top of that, it would also help prove and Guage the tickle monster's strength at the same time.
Sentience implies a certain level of brain function which ussually includes social understandings. And even if you couldn't get it to "like" you, you could still get it to hate the other group more
My plan on how to kill SCP-682: Step 1. Expose it to SCP-729-J (it has caused 682 to be classified as neutralized, although lets assume that is only temporary) Step 2. While 682 is temporarily dead, feed it to SCP 4966, The Lord of Munchies. It will consume 682, and only the bones and a bit of flesh will remain when it's done. Lets just hope that not even 682 can survive the two of those SCP's powers combined
@@ineedalife6 The 173s would work together and combat that ability. In an alternate universe a group of 150 statues teamed up and successfully ripped the reptile to shreds.
Buddy, the foundation once put 682 into a room capable of altering the laws of physics, screwd up all the settings and erased his entire body! The lizard then just pulled a Dr. Manhattan and rebuild his body outside from nothing!
I just got two crazy ideas that might work. Send 682 to a reality where the universe experiences a big rip scenario. Or, use antimatter. I mean, antimatter does obliterate matter.
Maybe use an SCP that messes with his senses and pull an injustice. Make him believe that SCP-053 is literally anyone else. That alone would make him attack her. After that, 682 would be doing the job for you.
I saw the theory that 053 just reverts the state of minds of the ones exposed to her. So good people become homicidal maniacs while a being of pure hatred like 682 is reversed to be good and safe around her. Thatd make sense hypothetically. It could just be that they're both children of the Scarlet King tho
Since it’s been shown repeatedly that only other versions of 682 are actually capable of killing the thing for good, try introducing it to scp 056 which will hopefully take the form of a stronger 682 and kill the damned lizard.
Schedule regular visitations for 053 to 682's containment. It won't kill him, but during their first meeting, he seemed to be pacified. Maybe scheduled visitations would prevent future meetings from going sour like that one did.
@@Sirgiyas He did, but maybe, just _maybe_, he wouldn't go on a rampage if the Foundation told both of them that they could see each other again on, say Saturday, and maybe on future Saturdays after that if 682 behaves himself.
@Chancellor Palpatine that's just cold. She's a little girl, man, she doesn't like being a death causing anomaly. Living in containment is making her happy after however many years she was alone. She gets toys, books, crayons, and the knowledge that she won't kill anyone unless the scientists send her for more crosstests
@@fangchick93 But what if that, given 682's whole adaptability gimmick, perhaps in its smart mind, it believed the best adaptation for her was to play along with her, not kill her. Thinking this way- it would mean that 053 could be a genuine threat to him.
I'm curious as to how an interaction between SCP-682 and SCP-3000 would go. Will 3000's memory juice erase 682's memory, thus making him forget his desire to destroy?
@@pinky3989 They did try mixing the acid in 682's tank with Y-909, the regrety forgety. It actually weakened SCP-682's resistance to damage previously inflicted on it. Thus, it is theorised that the giant angry lizard's regenerative abilities are fuelled by memory of the damage.
Dust SCP-682 away with the infinity gauntlet. It's not possible for it to review from that. Only the gauntlet itself with all 6 infinity stones can reverse the process.
Bro he's been dropped into a realm of non existence and walked out, just like hey man wassup? Soo he'd probably end up with the abilities of the stones
actually, Saitama is very motivated when it comes to strong opponents. the only time he experiences true happiness in the anime is when he was getting beaten up trying to fight the Mole men in his dreams.
THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING MY IDEA
Exactly
Saitama would 1 punch it instantly.

Good idea or give him a red shirt and put him in a star trak movie put every dangerous SCP in a red shirt and star trak movie.
Yeah same issue with the witch child
This is also promising, but with all promising ideas on how to kill him, this channel will just say “BuT WhAt If ScP 682 AdApTs To ThAt??? tHeN iT wOuLd ReAlLy Be DaNgErOus!!!”
we should make him adapt to food taste instead
Just stab it with a sword wtf

ROFL
That’s actually a great idea

I think there’s a problem. 682 has adapted to a lot in the scp lore, even things that erase him from existence. Nice thought doe

I'm pretty sure it's immortal, and it's true isn't even in this dimension, so that wouldn't really work

@@jirito7470 It died in a mirror universe that death itself found
@@keannix Nah our bodily functions just seize to work so it's a death from complications of old age
Underrated
How long did it take?
From what I understood to destroy the lizard I should find it's author irl and force to delete article about it from SCP website

Maybe you are right but, SCP 682 is just to dangerous, wicked and malevolus to be alive.
…Ok…But hasnt the foundation teamed up with GOC to kill it? So… yea…
So bring a healing potion to kill it
Yeah, your right, just let it move in with 053!!!
That's more plausible because if this creature is basically death or really Ill you could just heal it, but healing it might bring more issues.
Zygarde 100% could try and kill scp-682 as the strongest pokemon out there in existence.

Put 682 inside clockworks, with a note saying "friendly ally to SCP Foundation", and on the setting "Very Fine"
Easy: Find a "empty" capsule of SCP-888, and use it to remove the Murderous Intent of 682.
"Testing has confirmed that it is possible to loosely direct what memory is excised, by concentrating on a specific memory before touching the stone. If a subject handles a sample of 888 with no specific thought in mind, the memory lost is essentially random, though it may be chosen by the subject's subconscious."
Since 682 literally ALWAYS wants to cause pain and suffering... this would be the only memory 888 would target. Also since there is no finite limit to the size of the memory or feeling that can be captured, the adaptive property of 682 wouldn't overcome the transference.
It would totally, and irreversibly, pacify the beast. 🎉

Use that one SCP child that can create anything through portals and create the exact counter to SCP-682 then have the two battle it out or have the counter cancel out the original, like he did with the black tentacles and he destroyed them with white ones coming out of his own portal.

I suggest using an scp who wont stop attacking like "times up" or "vermin god" If 682 didn't die it would probably be an endless battle so we wouldn't have to worry about those two scp's ever again
Look up the kayne cross test, they both got bored and just stopped
@@matthewcrawford7518 oh
OR we can just put him in a room with scp-009 which will keep him ice FOREVER and if not, they are breaking the scp plot, so they have no choice
@@firstclass000 682 would literally just adapt to not be frozen, ice is nothing
@@dominodog1543 No cuz the ice continuously freezes anything that contains water or something so even if the air is moist it will freeze it. So scp 682 would continuously be frozen . But if not it was worth a shot.
It's just like what dr bright said "people who try to kill that lizard are waiting thier time".
They should just settle for perpetual containment at this point. Another dimension with a one way ticket would be my best bet. There’s plenty of SCPs that could do that
Though it might be possible, but we dont want it to destroy their universe
@@eutnet better there universe then ours
Until he finds a parallel universe hopper and comes back with his twin and other reinforcements 😅
Example: SCP 106
Ok
yes but put it in 3008 and let it be ikea's problem
Just use Shy Guy
The wanderer’s library might have a book on how to kill him.
That is a really good idea. It contains all the information in the universe, so it would probably know if 682 can be killed and if so, how.
Impossible exists for a reason, if the sad truth of 682 is that it’s invincible we might be cornered
@@SillyCatLover68 not a bad idea but no one has made it to the 2nd stage without being well, alive.
You know that 682 dies the universe dies with 682. But it may have
Mmmh
SCP vs this reptile is the new modern version of Wile E Coyote vs the Road Runner. I am sure back in the day people debated different ways he could catch the Road Runner and they all failed.
You are actually skipping over the 3 that could kill it.
The most obvious one is the plot armor. If the author of 682 decided to remove said plot armor 682 could be killed easily.
The question is how the scp foundation could reach and influence one of their own multiverse's authors.
(That's also what 343 meant by "not one of mine")
But there is a way, use SCP 3309.
Well actually, SCP 682 did get into a fight with its own author, but despite the article literally being destroyed, SCP 682 lived on in the scp world
Scp-6000, the O5 council's answer to being fictitious- it's a memetic scp designed to kill scp authors. if they manipulated it into mind control, they could remove the plot armour
Edit: as this isn't any sort of reality warping or in-universe anomalous effect it would probably work
Edit the second: I meant scp 5999
@@illchangethisifican7952 You sure you mean scp 6000?
@@Kalenz1234 no, I mean 5999. I've read/watched too much so I got mixed up my bad
If chocolate enhanced his abilities, then it seems the amount of energy 682 has means if you could drain its energy you could deal enough damage to kill it before 682 could regenerate.
If chocolate makes it stronger, forcefeed 682 vanilla?
But also, Memory might also be part of its ability. take Energy and Memory out of the equation, and we might win.
Bordem butterflies
682 is sentient, this means it can learn. Instead of trying to kill it, start by using the tickle monster to lower its guard and use D-class personnel to start off with trying to extend the bridge of what can make it happy. If possible, over time it may be possible to instead of failing to kill it, trying to befriend it, while counter intuitive, may yield better results. And on top of that, it would also help prove and Guage the tickle monster's strength at the same time.
Sentience implies a certain level of brain function which ussually includes social understandings. And even if you couldn't get it to "like" you, you could still get it to hate the other group more
it wouldn't work.if scp is happy it will it well cause genocide even more but at least u spent time thinking i guess?
ill tell 3812 that
I like the way you think
No.
Throw Dr. Bright's necklace into scp-682-s face. it kills the "soul" instantly, no regenarating, no adapting, just INSTANT death.
“He would cancel Twitter instead”
Okay. Still, run the test. We ain’t got anything to lose
I think SCP 682 would become more misanthropic. At least that would happen to me if I was 682 and I visited Twitter.
Give 682 a RUclips channel and have him read the hate comments
Then give him a Facebook account instead lmao
“We’re not blaming you”
“It’s also your fault”
Like parents in a divorce
Lol
My plan on how to kill SCP-682:
Step 1. Expose it to SCP-729-J (it has caused 682 to be classified as neutralized, although lets assume that is only temporary)
Step 2. While 682 is temporarily dead, feed it to SCP 4966, The Lord of Munchies. It will consume 682, and only the bones and a bit of flesh will remain when it's done. Lets just hope that not even 682 can survive the two of those SCP's powers combined
I think it would adapt again to scp 729
And then if it does survive, get multiple Peanuts to shred it to pieces.
The reptile's immense fear of the statue would make it die.
But they wouldn't come because 682 would get dozens of Indestructible Eyes looking on the 173's

Yea, just indirectly kill the child. Can't have a heart attack if you're not consciously intending on killing her.
@@Impo_TheNovaTar it probably works like Cain or that candy bowl scp it doesn’t have to be direct for you to die but that’s just as theory
@@sanicinapanic4264 it would still kill her once the gas release button was pressed
It could just be that they're both children of the Scarlet King tho
thats actual a great idea
just force him to watch a 5-minute crafts marathon. anyone’d be dead from that.
DOWN BAD💀
Get every single 5 minute craft on permaloop so 682 sees death as preferable? Interesting 🤔
@@ChedCake exactly
@@Voltpixel. yes very smart… I think 30 minute crafts would make him crack!
Taking his plot armor is definitely the best course Of action
Since it’s been shown repeatedly that only other versions of 682 are actually capable of killing the thing for good, try introducing it to scp 056 which will hopefully take the form of a stronger 682 and kill the damned lizard.
Schedule regular visitations for 053 to 682's containment. It won't kill him, but during their first meeting, he seemed to be pacified. Maybe scheduled visitations would prevent future meetings from going sour like that one did.
But didn’t 682 get real mad after being separated from 053?
@@Sirgiyas He did, but maybe, just _maybe_, he wouldn't go on a rampage if the Foundation told both of them that they could see each other again on, say Saturday, and maybe on future Saturdays after that if 682 behaves himself.
I vote for permanent cohabitation, but I agree. She's basically the only thing he won't kill
What if 682 can henceforth produce, as 3000 so gracefully put it, "Regrety Forgety" after the battle?

Dust SCP-682 away with the infinity gauntlet. It's not possible for it to review from that. Only the gauntlet itself with all 6 infinity stones can reverse the process.
