  • For all our American friends and all people who don't speak German I translated the German video into English:
In February and March 2022 I made a round trip through Italy with my camper van. In total I drove 6500 Km (4000 miles). The trip took 6 weeks. In part 1 I explored the Italian west coast and visited La/Spezia, Porto Venere, Lucca, Bagnoregio, Pompeji, the Amalfi Coast, Paestum and Tropea.

Thanks for your kind feedback. As I did the tour already in 2022, I assume the prices I paid will no longer be valid. Please take a look at the App Park4Night.You will find more up-to-date prices there.

How long did it take you to complete the full trip around Italy?

      Hi Heather,
it took me about 6 weeks, but I am normally travelling fast, which means that I don't stay longer than a day or two. If you want to do it a bit more relaxed than you will need a little more time.
      All the best!

Is it possible to visit the Amalfi coast with a campervan? where to stop sleep?

      Hi Antonio,
As far as I know it is not allowed to drive the super narrow Amalfi road along the coast line with a camper van. In addition, I would really not want to do it, because the road is so narrow and curvy. There are however camping sites at Sorrent and Agerola. From there you can drive the whole Amalfi Coast with the public busses. They commute regularly along the entire Amalfi Coast and they are inexpensive. I was staying at the camping site in Agerola, but I think Sorrent is the better location. Just look at the App Park4Night and you will find the most recommended camping sites.
I hope this helps. All the best!

Unfortunately, I have no idea. However, you ask in a postal office. If you are in a bigger town, you may have a better chance that someone speaks English.
