- In part 2 of my Italy round trip in my van, I explored the island of Sicily. I visited Taormina, Catania, Syracuse, Noto, Ragusa, Agrigento with the Valley of the Tempels, the cliff Scala die Turchi and finally Mount Etna. Then I returned to the ferry to continue my trip off the mainland.
Thank you for posting this! I know the effort it takes!
You are very welcome. I'm happy you like it.
All the best,
Hans
Amazing video Hans! I would like to know where you bought the ticket to enter the ferry from Calabria to Sicily with the RV, because I'm going to make the same trip soon. Thank you very much, greetings from Argentina!
Thank for your nice comment. You can buy the tickets right at the harbor.
Best wishes, Hans
This is all so helpful. Could I travel this in a camper all in 10 days?
You could surely travel my Sicily-tour in 10 days or even a bit shorter.
I think, I was there for about a week.
Best wishes,
Hans
Really enjoyed your Italy part 1 and 2 but I can’t find part 3. Am I missing it somehow?
Thanks for your nice feedback. Unfortunately part 3 ans 4 only exist in German language so far. Sorry.
All the best,
Hans

i got only 5 days on Feb 2024..plan to rent a RV..any advice?..plan to start from Milan and my major interest are Dolomites ,Lake como and Amalfi coast
Hello Mohamad,
5 days is very short! What I can recommend in Northern Italy is the Cinque Terre (nature and marvellous landscape), the medieval city of Lucca, Verona, Florence (culture), San Gimignano (most beautiful medieval town with high towers). Amalfi coast is beautiful but a long ride from Milano. From lake Como I only know Menaggio (north side)and I drove up into the mountains towards Breglia (fantastic view on the lake, but I assume there are many more great and even better spots.
Unfortunately I don't know the Dolomites.
My recommendation is to stay in the northern parts. There is more than enough to see in 5 days.
Have fun in Italy!
Regards, Hans
