I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to do this video! I was driving myself crazy trying to figure it out. You can’t just pack this big boys up and take them to a repair shop. And when you do oh my goodness. Thank you so much. God bless you
Thank you so much for your public service announcement! My husband was very upset when he got that message in the middle of his stitch out. Your fix worked like a charm!!!
:-) I had to look at your video again. I was pushing one button that was not the right one and Bingo! It worked. My repairman told me I needed a new monitor. I paid 1k for the tune up. They had my machine for about 3 months. They changed my tension screws to new ones and it made a big difference, but my hoop sensor was not working when I got it back. So, thank you so much. I fixed it thanks to you. I call it the “Five minute fix that worked.”
I thought I had broken my Alliance, No error message, but could not move needle to start work on side of my hoop, scoured book for troubleshooting hoop sensor, Crickets ... your video is the only one to help, my genius was to find your genius for a fix. Thank you for your help, still great after you posted 3 years ago!
Jerry - You are ALWAYS my 'go-to' guy for any of my Brother 1055x questions and frustrations. Thanks for this video. It was a lifesaver. My design was 3.5" wide and it would NOT let me use the 100mm x 100mm hoop until I listened to your suggestions. Thank you Thank you.
Just came across your video. I couldn't remember how to fit my embroidery frame back on after using my cap frame. Not only did you show me that but you also showed me how to correct an error on my machine which I too have regularly. Thank you so much. 2 fixes for the price of one.
Thanks! On my babylock BMP6 when I took it apart like you said what I realized is their is pin that fits into a grove on the piece I took off. So when putting the piece back I made sure the pin was in the grove, and this made it recognize all the frames.
Oh my goodness THANK YOU!!! I didn't even have to do what you said. I went to remove the A frame and noticed the screw on the far right was loose. As soon as I tightened it up, I was good to go. YOU ROCK!
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. I was having this exact problem. I found out that one of the adjustment screws was loose so just had to tighten it to fix the issue. Would have never guessed it was that simple. Big Help!!
It totally worked! Thanks so much for sharing this trick. It was so very frustrating and I never would have thought to do this! Thank you; thank you; thank you!!!
I am SO glad you shared this with me. I have been coping by going to edit and reducing the size by a couple of clicks. Fast and easy, but YOU solved the source!
That was it! You saved my bottom! I was having the same error message with my fast frame and couldn’t figure what I was doing wrong! The fast frame needed to be on top of the sensor on my Babylock. Thanks a million!
Thank you so much!! I have a Brother Persona and this was happening with my fast frame. Your solution worked for that as well and I cannot thank you enough!!
Jerry, you will get that error message when the screws are loose. There is a sensor in the screw area, but you usually don't have to take them out, but if you just tighten them, the message will usually go away! Thanks for all your tips and tricks!
Thank you so much for this video tip. I have a Brother PR600 and the hoop error was the same message as is the hoop holder. You have saved much frustration and I appreciate this information. In my case it was the perfect fix!
Change to larger hoop notification occurs after vibration of machine causes the small middle screw on frame gets loose. I just retighten the screw and no problem. I remember how frustrating it was before I figured this out
I really enjoy your informative videos. I want to monogram shirts using a 9” and 10” font. I have the Brother Entrepreneur 6-plus PR670E along with the regular hoops and a set of the fast frames, including the 14x14 jumbo hoop. I just can’t seem to find any tutorials on how to accomplish this task. I hope you can help.
This worked the first time I had this trouble. I just went to use my largest frame and no matter what I tried it won’t work. If you have any other tips I would love to hear it!
I just put that design into my computer put it in my software save it as a new PES and now it works and will let me stitch it out :P Weird I know but it's worked each time for when when I had to do that on my flat beds too.
I’m getting that message in the middle of a stitch out. My machine is sewing/ embroidery. Sometime I can turn off the machine, bring the design back up and then back up a color change or two.and it will work.
hi, I followed your direction and it did not fix my problem. I have been missing with this all day long! do you have any other suggestions? Is there away to change the size on the screen part of your machine??
Do you have a solution for the exact same problem on the Solaris? Took it to the shop and of course it didn’t do it there. Brought it home and sure enough it’s doing it again.
Hi Doris! I do not use magnetic bobbins. I order my bobbins, and almost all of my thread, from www.metroemb.com. (Just FYI - it's not that I 'do' or 'do not' recommend magnetic bobbins...I just use regular bobbins and they work great for me.) :-)
Hi I keep getting it during my sew. Like to make two designs I put one on each end of largest hoop. I think the bounce of the hoop sets off that error code. I have a babylock Ellisimo, Would same theory work as well?
I have a babylock aventura 2 and it's telling me to choose a larger hoop....but the letters are only about an inch big....the hoop is 5 X 7 and that's way big enough....can you help with that?
I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to do this video! I was driving myself crazy trying to figure it out. You can’t just pack this big boys up and take them to a repair shop. And when you do oh my goodness. Thank you so much. God bless you
Thank you! :-)
Thank you so much for your public service announcement! My husband was very upset when he got that message in the middle of his stitch out. Your fix worked like a charm!!!
Sometimes I wish RUclips could put a "LOVE" option instead of just a "LIKE" for videos. Thank you!!! This was a tremendous life-saver.
Thank you! Glad it worked! :-)

You're the new hero in our house - my wife was going ballistic over that problem, and you fixed it! THANK YOU!!

Glad it worked for you!

thank you, it worked!
Glad it worked! :-)
Very useful...thank you
Thank you so much. It works!
Is there any solution that works mid-way through embroidery? I had to swap the bobbin and started getting the message.
I removed and put back on and still got, “change to larger hoop”. I will try again, standby!
Do you have a solution for the exact same problem on the Solaris? Took it to the shop and of course it didn’t do it there. Brought it home and sure enough it’s doing it again.
Thank you for your note. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the Solaris.
Jerry Do you recommend using magnetic bobbins Thanks
Hi Doris! I do not use magnetic bobbins. I order my bobbins, and almost all of my thread, from www.metroemb.com. (Just FYI - it's not that I 'do' or 'do not' recommend magnetic bobbins...I just use regular bobbins and they work great for me.) :-)
I’ve done this same thing. Worked for me too.
How do you do it with a BabyLock Flourish II?
Very helpful
Thanks 😁😁
Wow! I’m getting this message with SEW WHAT PRO. My machine is a Babylock Spirit. Any tips on that? Thanx!!!
LoL...hate mail...love that...thanks for the info....I"ve had my machine 8 yrs now and I'm still having trouble...sheeeze, 67 yr old brain....oyeeee!
The real fix is to calibrate your hoop sensor. It sometimes goes out of whack. When you calibrate it stops asking you for a larger hoop
Nope tried that...didnt work for me...so i turned off the machine and will try again later...
It’s not working for me either 😩😩😩
Thank you :)
Glad it worked!
Hi I keep getting it during my sew. Like to make two designs I put one on each end of largest hoop. I think the bounce of the hoop sets off that error code. I have a babylock Ellisimo, Would same theory work as well?
That would be a great idea to try, to see if helps! :-)
How do you do this n luminaire, same problem.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
I have a babylock aventura 2 and it's telling me to choose a larger hoop....but the letters are only about an inch big....the hoop is 5 X 7 and that's way big enough....can you help with that?
Hi Lynette, I'm sorry, but I am not familiar with the Aventura. :-(
I have a 6 needle and have the same problem, try but it won’t work, help!
