The 2002 Copa Del Rey final was unbelievable. It was organised by the Spanish FA to be played at the Bernabeau on the day of Real's centenary, then Depor end up winning and their fans were singing "Happy Birthday to you"!
Jesus Christ. This was fucking amazing, we need a video of the 2009-2018 Real Madrid asap! Edit @2023: better idea to make it from 2009-2022. Florentino changed Real Madrid history, again.
Why 2009-2018? The only thing defining that period each year is ronaldo, but the club itself has changed drastically - in style, management, players. There's nothing interesting defining the club during those years. 2009-2013 or 2014-2018 would make much more sense and would be more enjoyable. If you want a doco about 2009-2018 just watch something bout ronaldo's time in madrid.
@@billybob4159 That "team" wasn't continuous throughout. The fact you think there are enough correlations between mourinho and pellegrini's madrid( with ozil, di maria, alonso, kaka, higuain, pepe etc' etc) with ancelotti and zidane's (modric, kroos, bale, james, varane, isco etc) to justify calling it an identifinyg, single period is a joke. You're either clueless or just started supporting madrid when ronaldo arrived and stopped as soon as he left. Also that's without mentioning the extreme playstyle differences each manager brought along or ronaldo's changing playstyle as he aged.
Zidane once compared the sale of makelele and purchase of Beckham as to "why would you put another layer of gold on your Bentley, if you just sold the engine"
Makelele was more like the thing that keep the team balanced and safe from any possibility of things gone terribly wrong. They can still win with Ronaldo and Zidane...providing they didn't get injured or went off form. Ronaldo was injury prone and out of shape, and Zidane had dry spells during his twilight years. That Madrid team can win and lose against the same team in 4-1 due to how bad the defensive midfield and central defenders were.

I was just 2-3 year old at that time, and after all these years after watching Figo going to Inter made me emotional!!!
Zidane's volley gave me goosebumps!!
It was so emotional video for a Madridista, I'm a fan since 2009!!
Anyways great information, great and hardwork will always be respected and appreciated!!!!
Hala Madrid!!
The sale of Makelele was the end of the Galactico era as a successful team. When Madrid bought Beckham to replace Makelele Zidane said "they ripped out the engine and re-painted the car."
I’m glad you highlighted the importance of Makelele. Even in WC06, he and Veira were a large part of France’s successful run. Some fans call Zidane the greatest ever but he didn’t win much despite being surrounded with many great players.
It's an amazing coincidence that Claude Makalele became the world's best player, perhaps in the history of the game, to play the 'Makalele' role. It's like he was named after the role. The only thing that could top this would be Reading striker George Puscas scoring an amazing goal to win the Puskas award.
fantastic work here! never a dull moment with Florentino...
Ngl u deserve a football show on Netflix. This is QUALITY.
production is extremely well done. You deserve way more than 6k subs
Appreciate it Tim !
I love the research and editing quality you bring to these.
*This video deserves millions of views!*
Whos here before it hits 1million ?
Really good quality as per usual. One of the best football channels around
Much appreciated!
Another magnificent video. You are an example for quality over quantity. I could repeat what I've said about your other videos in this one. Love the music choices, the research is great. I've had Sid Lowe's book on the backburner for awhile, will have to crack open. Can't wait for another video, praying for something on Napoli winning the League, maybe something on Neverkusan, or perhaps the Divine Ponytail. Whatever you do next I look forward to it. Keep up the great work, really hope this channel grows, you really deserve.
Appreciate the continued support Darragh ❤
It would be nice seeing an episode of Perez return to Real Madrid. A story focused on Real Madrid in the Ronaldo era.
that goal by zidane to win the champions league final, a volley with his weak foot....was just insane skill. what a player
I became a fan in 2002. And have bled and cried this banner and shield every day of my life since then. I cannot think of anything, other than music, which has obsessed me so much. Watching this documentary for the 10th time. 😭
After learning about this I now understand Florentino more than ever I always thought he was so conservative with wages and transfers compared to other clubs since Bale but to know what led to the end of that 2000-2006 era he’s really not repeating his mistakes
Bro never stop doing this because you got a talent for it.
Feels wrong watching this for free
We need a video on the 2nd era of his comeback from 2009 onwards. Very interesting as to how Florentino identified and rectified his mistakes. Great work once again from Balon! Youre doing gods work by making high quality production in the form of sports documentaries!
The best documentary about Madrid.. I enjoyed it a lot as I was following Madrid in those years
The best football channel in RUclips and it's not even close
Thanks for the big praise!
Such a high quality video, and it brought back so many feelings with Real Madrid. The ending of the video is just pitch perfect. I loved every second of this video. I hope to see more of this. Subscribed.
Very informative and well-made. Thanks!
Really well constructed and educational video. Was always a huge fan of Real Madrid dispute being from the UK never knew the struggle was so real.
One of the best youtube videos I have ever watched!
Great video. Hope I find more videos like this on your channel.
That was quality content, actually.
Thank you for explaining what i grew up with being a huge confusion at the time. I was a young teen and all i can remember was seeing Zidane leaves and RM goes down the hill for a while
Oh my god! One of the best football documetaries ive ever watched 👌 idk how this doesnt have a million views 😳
Man you deserve more views and subs
the problem was the Italian league was just too good those days and when I watched them against the Italian teams, I felt they were not good enough even though they had the top players.
the editing is crazyyyy, this was amazing
amazing, quality content. A real history lesson. Good job!
my respect having such content. when you ended with La Decima 92:48, it really touches the heart of Madridista
This is just GREAT! You need to do international teams. Start with Italy 94 to winning the World Cup 2006! That chapter deserves a great look
Thinking about that. Thanks for watching!
Those videos left me speechless such great work , the eye of details and Detail of information is just worldclass
ادهشت حتى الاجانب بتقاريرك الرائعة ....تحية لك من المغرب🙂
I came across this video randomly, but I've definitely found a gem of a channel. Keep up the great work you are doing with the research especially. All videos are so well researched.
Very good job man ! an episode about the Grande Milan, Sacchi or the entire Berlusconi's era would be great :)
What an incredible video! From research to presentation to just general information - it was fantastic from beginning to end! Great work man!
Thank you for this video...it was nice to remember all those times... it was not failure in business mind but, trophies are not that much that u can call the era successful...
I just found this channel literally and it did not disappoint me.
That's crazy that RM was having trouble selling tickets back then, but the sport is just so much bigger now
Nothing to do with the sport. Football has always been big. It's to do with all the "athathathathatha" bandwagoning fans.
@@Revelian1982?
i was shocked when i heard that. how come a 2 times CL winner in 3 years can't sold tickets ?
Amazing video!! Brings back all the childhood memories!!
Simply impressive. You kept your signature style and implemented new elements which made the video incredible immersive.
I felt like Henry in take the pass the ball:"The ref ended the game and I wondered that it was already over"
Appreciate the continued support !
What a comprehensive informations and thoughts. This is the first time ever, i enjoyed watching youtube vid without even realizing it is already 36 mins long. You got my sub!
Absolutely fantastic video.
This video should have 1 million views at least.
Real Madrid should hire you to do some work with Real Madrid TV.
Impressive.
That's some high praise! Appreciate it.
They're more popular on their arabic channel. There, it has 1 million views
What fantastic piece of journalism. The amount of research gathered and presented. Kudos to the team.
Very nice short documentary, very informative, and well put together
Glad you enjoyed it!
Finally someone posting about galacticos !! your channel must be shared man superb content and editing...
makelele + del bosque leaving was key. and also madrid were doing well when R9 was firing. but once he got injured at the crucial moments, madrid crumbled. just goes to show how good R9 was despite not being at his supposed peak.
@Johnng Fred the thing is he was very decisive for not only club but country. There are many players who don't turn up for countries
@Johnng Fred agreed! for club i would say iniesta was more consistent. but that being said, zidane was more of a game winner than iniesta, which is why i would put him above don andres haha
The graphics are shockingly fabulous! The content is deep and convincing.
That ending 35:44 pure goosebumps and put a smile on my face #SR4 🤍 the rise of real madrid 🔥
Same, really wanted to know the original clip
I can see big plenty of work you put in this video. I don't get why you are so small channel despite continuing your work! A big admiration for you dude
I appreciate that!
Very good quality story. The amount of research is just magnificent. Hopefully you will have Ac Milan next. Bravo
United and Milan both heavyweights are now both playing each other in the Europa League what's gone wrong??
My goodness... So much research and such elaborate coverage on all events of Galacticos 1.0 and controversies
Great job man 🙌🏻🙌🏻 loved itt.
You deserve a million subs
