Hey, the correct spelling of your grandfather's name is Անդրանիկ. In the English language, you have two versions of the name; Andranik is the East Armenian version and Antranig is the West Armenian spelling. In written Armenian, though both are the same. If you go to this page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antranig_Chalabian and then change the language to Armenian you can see the Armenian spelling.
Curious Chris thank you so much I appreciate it! His name ends with a G though and its like that on his grave...does that still mean it is suppose to end with a K?
Hey Amanda, I guess your grandfather or his family came to America many years ago and spoke West Armenian. That is why when he wrote his name in English he spelled it with g as the "կ" in West Armenian is pronounced g but k in East Armenian. The name in Armenian spelling exists only in the version Անդրանիկ which is then just pronounced differently depending on your families origin.

So strong and powerful letters
Main issue with the alphabet is that most lower case letters are totally different from upper case letters.
Unfortunately that's the same thing for the European alphabet
A =/= a
B =/= b
D =/= d
E =/= e
F =/= f
G =/= g
H =/= h
L =/= l
N =/= n
Q =/= q
R =/= r
T =/= t
@@GoldenGubix I believe the word you're looking for is LATIN. Also, the Greek alphabet also has distinct capital and small forms.
As if D is really similar to d.
You can switch over to russian and become a gigachad.

亞美尼亞語有一個漫長的文學史,其現存最古老的文學作品是五世紀的聖經翻譯。它的詞彙在其歷史上受伊朗的語言影響,特別是帕提亞語,此外還受希臘語,拉丁語,古法語,波斯語,阿拉伯語,土耳其語和其他語言影響。現代亞美尼亞語有兩種規範的形式,東亞美尼亞語和西亞美尼亞語,兩者都可以用於理解當代亞美尼亞方言。
