The propaganda about Mexico goes so deep. It's such a rico place, and every state has it's own culture, often more distinctive than the USA.

DUDE!! Get yourselves out of Cancun ASAP!! The true beauty of the peninsula is south from Playa del Carmen to Chetumal. Especially Tulum! If you think you love Vallarta, wait till you see Tulum and the rest of the riviera Maya.
also is good to visit the interior of the peninsula, not just the beaches, there are many interesting archeological sites like cobá, calakmul and colonial towns like izamal or valladolid.
Yup! Chichen Itza for sure...and even Merida if you can get there. Do the Ruta de Las Iglesias from Felipe Carrillo Puerto if you really want to see Mayan culture live. Also Bacalar and Mahahual...and if you want something more rustic, Sian Ka'an!

Head to Parque de las Palapas any evening and you will not be disapointed. Lots of puestos selling great food at great prices. Families hanging around and usually entertainment, like church groups or dance clubs etc on the stage. You can get there by taking the bus from the hotel zone to the downtown Chedraui on Avenida Coba then walking the last few blocks. This is not where the tourists go! Very safe and fun.

That is I like from Cancun, Beaches are so gorgeous and the beach and water is super clean, white sand, very green plants, every day is sunny, Hot and windy.
I really want to live there, I miss Cancun from my last visit

go to chichenitza and uxmal in merida
Not sure how long you gonna be in and around that region...Here are my recommendations of must do's.
1. Ferry to Isla Mujeres. Go to Playa Norte. (Use the Ferry in Puerto Juarez is cheaper than using the Ferry located in the Hotel Zone)
2. Chichen Itza Tour Trip
(Usually they make a pit stop at the Cenotes befor/ or after the Pyramids)
3. Congo Bongo (expensive but worth it)
4. Snorkeling ( Puerto Morelos is just a short Uber drive and really inexpensive to do all the same water activities you would do I. Cancun for much costly price)
Now if you are able to rent a vehicle or take the ADO Bus service to Mahahual. I recommend the This maybe for your next time. My family and I rented a vehicle I. Cancun and drove down to Mahahual, Bacalar and Chetumal. By far one of our favorite vacations. Bacalar is the most beautiful place I have ever seen, and Mahahual my favorite Mexico Beach. They only reason we rented a van versus the Bus was just the logistics of moving 8 was much easier in our own vehicle. But, for just two. I would take the bus.

You need to go to Bacalar,Chichen-Itza,Cenotes,Tulum and there is a lot of other beautiful places.I love it.

You've seen it with your own eyes, besides what people can warn you about Cancun it is different when you go and experience by yourself, this is the Mexican side of the Caribbean it's beautiful and I bet there are no other beaches as beautiful as Cancun....maybe the city is not as pretty as Mexico City or Vallarta, but it has the most beautiful beaches...thank you for your awesome video, I wish I could be there right now but I'll be there in a couple months... Keep enjoying yourselves guys.

I would really recommend you guys visited Xelha or Xcaret, also visit Tulum and Playa del Carmen, since they are much cheaper than Cancun (especially Tulum, and more local, less touristy). There are tons of great cenotes, and also Isla Mujeres and Cozumel!
Playa delfines is by far the best beach in cancun in my personal opinion :)

Cancún is my favorite place in the world!!! I lived there for almost a year and it has a very special place in my heart! There's soooooooo much to do and see! Cancún and the Mayan Riviera are unique. Enjoy my Cancunsito for me. I'll keep watching your Cancún vids from rainy and cold CDMX

Of course you will visit Tulum. The beaches are even more pristine and if you really want something unique. Go to Punta Allen, remote and beautiful.

I always avoided Cancun because of the crowds and the touristy vibes.. but I think it's worth a visit! I just LOVE your channel. Glad you are seeing the south area of Mexico. Lots of iguanas, eh? Some day you need to do a Maya trip all around Yukatan, Campeche, Quintana Roo and Chiapas. Pyramid sites of Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Palenque and Calakmul are must see! (As well as numerous others in that region) Don't forget cenotes! Mucho Hermosa!

For nice and perfect traditional Mexican meal, I recommend "la fonda de las piñatas" in Cancun. - If you are traveling south go to Bacalar, mahaual, then tulum then all the rivera up to xelha, xcaret, rio secreto, man... My parents retired here and there's a different place everyweekend. They are now living in Merida Yucatan, and there are so many magic towns and places to go.

You guys should definitely visit Chiapas. It's so rich in many areas, especially in Mayan culture. It's a must! Plus it's affordable
Isla mujeres and Tulum i loved those places as well and obviously Chichen Itza and cenotes.

Go to Bacalar lagoon and go to cenotes, Tulum, isla Mujeres, playa del Carmen. I love Riviera Maya.
My favorite places in the area were Xcaret, but it's pretty pricey. I think the last time I was there in 2014 it was about $100 u.s. to get in! For additional money you can swim with dolphins. Also, if you get a chance hop on the ferry to Cozumel, rent a moped and ride around the outskirts of the island and snorkel. That's the best place to snorkel. If you go to Merida to visit chichen itza, you have to post a video of you clapping your hands when you get to the Castillo (the large pyramid). When you clap, the sound of birds echo from the pyramid. Oh, and the cenotes, almost forgot about those. There's thousands of them on the peninsula.

You guys should visit Bacalar it's like 3 to 4 hours driving from Cancun. It's a very beautiful lake.

Were you looking for Plaza Las America’s? Not too far from Avenida Tulum and Kukulcán BLvd. Intersection. Blue buses or Turicun are better than regular busses. Is it true Uber is not offering service in Cancún anymore? Go to playa Delfines, where cancun sign is! Also by the bars area, if you walk south after the Oxxo there is a beach access with all the resorts views and open ocean, big waves, beautiful colors, playa Delfines, east side of Cancún a must to enjoy Cancun beauties. Front of Plaza Caracol there is another beach access to see the north side with a Isla mujeres view on the background. Both views are a must and worth it
If you go down to Playa del Carmen, besides de beach, the 5ta Ave it’s a must, specially just before sunset and plan dinner over there, nightlife, etc

Go to Playa del Carmen, you'll probably like it and want to live there.
Remember that MX is made up of 32 states and they are all different, both in music, food, people treatment, folklore, nature, cost of living, etc. Each region of Mexico is unique and usually very beautiful. Know and enjoy them. Greetings and a warm hug KK.

Mexico has tons & tons of beauty to offer..Along with rich History,Museums,pyramids,artifacts,music & so much more..I Love being there the people are absolutely friendly & amazing..Oh,I forgot the most important thing delicious food by far,so many selections...Something for everyone's Palate..

It was my first place to visit. Your are right, the first place holds a special place in your heart. The beaches on the other Rivera side of the strip are pristine like pool water! The side of Ritz, Omni and Kukulkan mall, (which was brand new when I was there last), hotels are more $$ though. I wasn't in to the night life, SeniorFrog's, etc..but the beautiful beaches because I don't swim unless I can see what's in the water! And the Mayan day trips to pyramid sites was a lifetime event. Probably all the good places I ate aren't there or by name any more since it was so long ago. P.S Nichupte Lagoon has crocodiles, don't snorkel there, only tourists do! Cancun means snake nest. Luckily, I've never saw any even in jungle pyramids, only huge iguanas!
Hoy guys come to Playa del Carmen and check how different Playa del Carmen os from Cancún you can take the bus or a combi in Cancún downtown and if you come i will show you around some good places for lunch and dinner

For a pretty cool cenote experience I definitely recommend Rio Secreto. Check it out, you will not regret it.
For "Xcaret"-like parks, I only recommend Xcaret. The other ones (Xelha, Xplore, Xoximilco, Xenses, etc) are parks not so unique or special
For a kind of empty beach I recommend a trip to Puerto Morelos outside of Cancun.
For moving between towns I always use local collective transport aka vans. You can ask a local where to take the van.
You guys need to visit Xcaret, Xel-ha Park , or Xplor Park. Google them to check the pictures, you will not regret it. :)
You guys need to go visit 5ta. Avenida at Playa del Carmen, Tulum, the cenotes, Xcaret is a must. And Cozumel i love it.

Man! I feel like we keep missing each other. We were in PV last June which is when I started following you. We flew out of Cancun on Sunday (our 5th time). We love the east coast side so much more!!! Also, if you have a coffee pot in your room, you can heat up that water for your noodles. LOL

Your MUST explore Xel-Ha and may be Xcaret. Akumal used to be a very nice beach to visit a 5 am in order to see the arriving of turtles... A very nice experience.

Love the non-white framed sunglasses. Ya gotta dump the mirrored lenses though. As a You Tuber, all we see is La Wera reflected in the lenses with the camera. Love you guys....
