I’m not Lebanese and this is my first time watching/listening to this podcast, but i must say, Mr. Charles Al-Hayek offered an insightful run-down of major historical events in Lebanon’s ancient and modern history that helped shape the country to what it is now, all while being totally amusing and entertaining. He should definitely start a youtube channel or a podcast of his own!

Charles al Hayek proves not only that the constant changes/ as well as adoption of false narratives but most importantly the omission of true historical facts creates an ouroboros loop of trauma and amnesia that breeds a population of lost misrable souls, cursed in repeating (through generations) the same mistakes over and over again . Please bring him back for many many more chats ! Would totally vote that Charles is brought once again for another episode - Would love to hear more about the history of Maronites, the historical and cultural role played by Armenians and to shed light on the history of Lebanese Jews :) - Much love!
Perhaps also about the history of Shiite groups in Lebanon other than Shiite Twelvers :)
And yes - these are my first EVER RUclips comments - this is how much I liked the content shared by Charles :)
jeez who would've thought history could be this interesting
this guy is good!
Proud to have had Mr. Charles as a Teacher in high-school ❤

It's great to see people of knowledge and many other aspects of life from Lebanon, we are done with having politicians dumping whatever garbage they have on us.
Yes we want one more sarde with Charles!!
I didn't want this conversation to end. Thank you for a wonderful sarde!

Love from a Syrian neighbor 🙋🏻♂️
I use to go to the Golden Beach resort and the nearing public beach in Antelias, as a child. I visited Lebanon lately and found that they destroyed my childhood memories. Amazing interview, very authentic and genuine.
I'm a new Subscriber here, and I spent the past two days or so watching your podcasts, and this one is my favourite and I'm not even Lebanese.
This man is the only one who deserves to rewrite our book history to be reached at all schools. like RIGHT NOW!
The best sarde because of Charles Hayek, he gave special taste and value to your program, he is tactful and charismatic
