There is no excuse for removing the American Flag to fly the flag of another nationality/group. Aside from being conquered, it is simply the upmost disrespectful act they could do regarding the sovereignty. It goes beyond supporting a side in the Israeli - Hamas conflict. It was an intentional insult to all true Americans, most especially our veterans. Kudos to those who defended it.

The worst part is that the protesters who think they are speaking for Palestinians have no clue that they are in fact being manipulated through their own ignorance of what HAMAS stands for and its values. Values that do not include the rights of women, free speech, assembly, religion and on and on. Parents and educators have failed this generation by not teaching them the brutal realities of history or current events.

Israel MUST BE REALLY BAD at this genocide thing, took them over 75 years YET P@lestine population ONLY INCREASED from about 750k in 1947 to about 5.4m in 2023. Even just the G@Z@ strip alone, about 1.3m in 2005 when the IDF left to about 2.2m in 2023, almost 2 fold INCREASED.
LET'S NOT forget that P@lestine are really just Arabs. How many Arabs nations are there? How many Muslims/Islam nations are there? Just the middle east alone, there are a lot more Arab/Muslim/Islam nations, not to mention South East Asia and other parts of the world.
BUT, HOW many Jews/Israelis nation are there in the world?
EVEN H@M@S's OWN video SHOWED them attacking civilians and in their own homes as well. If they are really resistance fighters, they would be in some form of military uniform and ATTACKING Isr@el's military bases, etc, NOT CIVILIANS or their homes.
BILLIONS of aid ANNUALLY for a population of about 5.4m and YET the citizens are lacking water, electricity, etc. While the top leaders of H@M@S are BILLIONAIRES and living in luxury in Qatar among other countries.
Maybe the IDF should save the plane's airframe time, money, effort, etc, instead of "wasting" it on delivering leaflets to ask the civilians in G@Z@ to leave as it's getting dangerous. Since doing that and not doing that equates to "gen0cide" regardless.
Same thing with being "occupiers", now that the IDF is mostly done with north of G@Z@, they withdrew from the north to prepare for the next stage BUT still being called "occupiers", might as well "live up to it" since they won it fair and square back in the six-day war in 1967. Maybe IDF should NOT have withdrew in 2005 and just accept the "occupiers" term, at least they would have the land, instead of withdrawing from it and still "keep" the term.
Wonder why Egypt built a wall against their "brothers" in P@lestine. Why didn't Lebanon or Jordan take the P@lestinians in. OH WAIT, they did back in the day and it did NOT end well, Lebanon civil war, Jordan Black September. G@Z@ strip was managed by Egypt for a period of time, and WestB@nk under Jordan, why didn't the P@lestinian asked for a statehood back then? Aren't they all "Muslim Brothers"?
This brings tears to my eyes to know there is still hope for Americans

What really irritates me as well is the graduating seniors from many of these school were also not allowed to have a graduating ceremony as HS Seniors. The protesters are putting themselves above all the other folk on these campuses. Their behavior so reminds me of the treatment of the Vietnam vets on their return home. I have been reading and watching a lot about that war lately and the most striking/sad aspect of it for our vets is how they were treated and so many of them talk about that. ““The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Glad those students did something as I have been wondering where the majority have been.
That "bad treatment" never really happened. It's about as true as "teens doing witchcraft because of pokemon" and has about the same amount of "proof" too.
@@karlmarx7511you don’t know what you’re talking about. While I was never spit on or called names when I returned from Vietnam, I know many others who were. We were not welcomed home like other soldiers from other wars, and it was many years before we were shown any appreciation at all. Most of us got on with our lives, but many suffered from PTSD, and couldn’t adjust to civilian life. Some became alcoholics or got hooked on drugs, and some even took their own lives.
I hate the loss of innocent life in Gaza, but I also hate what happened on October 7th. I wish there was a ‘clean’ way to defeat Hamas, but war is always messy, and there are ALWAYS civilian casualties, especially in an urban setting.
I support peaceful protests, but I think many have taken it too far, and seem to support Hamas and what they stand for, not the people of Gaza. People shouting death to America, and disrespecting the flag is just stupid, and will not have any effect on how Israel proceeds with the war.

Rather than dropping the flag and fleeing for his life, he wrapped the flag around the staff to protect it and ran down an embankment. Stumbling through a ditch, chest-deep in water, he held his flag high. Another bullet struck him in the chest, another in the right arm, then another in his right leg. Carney struggled on alone, determined not to let his flag fall to the enemy. The spirit of Sgt Major Carney lives with these young men,the Union still stands strong now and forever.

It makes me wonder about the culture of child-rearing in our country during "modern" times. Seems for many there is an unjustified measure of self-entitlement. Young folks in our country in today's world have no clue how bad things can get during war time. They haven't experienced a Vietnam or a WWII. That all being said, it's been reported there have been agitators, not students, that have been trying to "stir the pot" so to speak. This kind of manipulation is important to watch out for and mitigate.
If Guillermo and his buddies came up in a military family or related environment, their experience was enough for them to know the difference. Bless them for that.
We are in trying times. Would encourage everyone to take care and try to think things through -
Thanks for sharing, and Thank you, Guillermo.
Thank you for posting this. People, old and young, need to see this and understand, as you so perfectly said, heroes come in many different forms. We could all do our part to stand up to defend this great country and the freedoms it grants to us.
i know this is unrelated to the video but for your DCS setup if you use a VR headset which one do you use id really like to know as i am intrested in getting into DCS !
Awesome presentation Ward... Thank You for posting this.... God Bless our Allies, and God Bless America!!!
NB: LDOC=last day of classes
I am saddened by the state of our country these days. I am an old guy now 70+. My father was a Naval Aviator during the Second World War and I was raised to have respect for what America stands for. He used to say, "I may disagree strongly with what you are saying but I will fight to the death for your right to say it". PEACEFUL protest is a right we all have but that right end where any form of violence begins. Destruction is violence and destruction of our flag is violence combined with disrespect. Those young men who held up the flag are Patriots and those people who violently opposed them don't have a clue about what America stands for. I am strongly in favor of peaceful protest even if I disagree with the reason for the protest. I am just as strongly opposed to violent protest. I miss my father every day and I am just a little bit glad he is not here to witness this mess. I know it would deeply trouble him.
America stands for nothing but capitalism.
Think his perspective was more relevant during the time he served, the next 70 years kind of showed how it's wrong
Gulemoe ( spelling ) brought tears of prideful joy to this old Marine eyes ! A hearty salute to you & your fraternity !
Young Men the same age as the Flag savers, were Landing on a Beach in Normandy France during WW2. I call these young men that had respect for our flag, Patriots which gives me Hope in America again.
😢🇺🇸 Well raised young men.
Truth...that takes parenting
Thank you Guillermo to you and your fraternity brothers for standing up for our country and our flag. Well done Sir! Thank you for the prompt report Mooch.
Great video!!! Thank you.
Thank you for posting Ward!! There are so many genuinely good and respectful young men in our midst!! Unfortunately, it's the other types who seem to get all of the attention.
They are definitely heroes.
And the college staff, they aren’t doing very much to stop this BS .
No because a lot of them have publicly agreed with the support for terrorists, and teach these values to the students. Also, seems like around 50% of the protestors on these campuses have been verified to not ever having been students.
NYPD literally arrested a couple hundred protesters last night…after responding to a call for assistance from the college president…
go ahead and look at how much money Quatar has invested in these universities in the past 2 decades. Then you will start to understand.
Then take all that Quatar money and build colleges and study in your own country.
Ward, thank you for the good story of the day. You made my day better already!
I appreciate how Mooch doesn't comment on these campus protests as a right wing vs. left wing debate --- he keeps it objective and down the middle, and we like that !!
Where is the Justice Department on this? Isn’t this antisemitism against our civil rights laws?
Most credible definitions of antisemitism explicitly exclude criticism of the Israeli government’s actions.
Yes anything and everything is antisemitism
@@Justanotherconsumer We have seen videos of many of these 'protesters' saying things like "We are Hamas!", "Death to Israel!", and even some chanting "Death to America!"; most of them simply excuse what Hamas did on Oct 7th, and many of them want to eradicate the State of Israel as an entity, which any intelligent person knows could only be done by massive force and bloodshed. I have no respect for them, period.
WTF is wrong with these people?
Might look into why they’re upset, getting people to ask that question is the reason protests happen.
so many things. how much time do you have?
I could not agree more Mooch! Thanks for sharing! I just logged into my X account, followed Guillermo and thanked him.
Thank you, Ward Carroll. I saw this in my feed, immediately went "wtf?!", and felt relief and pride in knowing there are some patriotic, heroic youth out there jumping into this fray. Bravo Zulu! to all those greek-frat brothers, thank you very much!
Hope this pic makes it in to many "Year In 2024" compilations.
To any protestor: It's one thing to *buy your own American flag* and disrespect it. I won't like it, nor like you, but I will respect and defend your right to protest in such a manner. Taking down and disrespecting a communal or public American flag is no bueno, and loses sympathy to your cause and speech.
The more I think about this the more it pisses me off. I actually think Netanyahu and his cabinet have gone waaaaay overboard, but these so-called protestors seem like they want to do all the things you’d do to purposefully sink your own cause’s popularity with the folks you’re trying to persuade. It’s just plain asinine. There is a juvenile sense of entitlement that is nauseating about all of these campus protests. Have a peaceful march in DC or your local city. Write to your Congressional Rep and Senators. Peacefully (and politely) serve as interlocutors and advocates on behalf of Gazan civilians, but FFS, stop occupying campus buildings and tearing down US flags. All you’re achieving is pissing off everyone including the folks you want on your side.
There’s a classic piece by MLK, his letter from jail, that talks about why moderates that “only want peace” are a bigger obstacle than those who directly oppose the cause.
It’s a good read, and important to understanding how protest movements work.
Forcing those who want to be able to ignore the protest to pay attention is critical.
Lazy complacency of the “why can’t they just protest in a way that doesn’t bother me” is often the direct target of an effective protest.
@@Justanotherconsumer To an misguided idiot...
I knew someone was gonna post this, but while I agree with the general sentiment I wholeheartedly disagree that it applies here. These folks are “protesting” by destroying property, some (not all) calling for the elimination of a people, and doing things in a manner entirely counter-intuitive to their cause. Not only that, but these kids ended up being the violent side while LE took it easy on them (and I am NO friend of LE). You don’t need to destroy to get your point across. Why not carry a 3 ft x 5 ft color pictures of dead, wounded, starved and maimed Palestinian non-combatants? Have 100 folks hold those graphic images on every corner in town, no words, no slogans, just vivid proof of the Netanyahu government’s wanton disregard for life. Do that and quit this juvenile bullshit.
@@Justanotherconsumer I'll wager you did not make a single post denouncing Hamas massacre/kidnappings of over a 1000 innocent Israelis on Oct 7th, did you? Nor did you make a single post denouncing the Syrian government when they murdered over 150,000 of their citizens over the past decade, virtually all who were Muslims...did you? You are a hypocrite!
@@Justanotherconsumer Thinking that ripping down the American flag and replacing it with a Palestinian flag will win people over to their side is delusional
God bless our country and these young men
Just saw Indo-Pac Commander is retiring. What place in line do you have to do a deep dive with Admiral Aquilino? Pardon my impudence, but since a team is stronger than its individuals, can I propose a “task-force” convocation to meet beforehand, that can represent and meld divergent specific issues into a wide band over-view into a cohesive focus? Thank you.
Amen to that Ward. So well said.
Stay cool and rational out there.
De-escalate ecape and avoid but carry defensive tools ON you.... of which are awareness and verbal judo
