Do you struggle with how much water to use? TIP: test your paint on a scrap piece of paper to see if you need more water! 🌟 Missed lesson 1? Watch here ► ruclips.net/video/Sj1smvMCvBI/видео.html
THANK YOU!!!!!! I am still a beginner but I was able to make a snap dragon plant to give to my husband for thanksgiving. I used all of your tips, thank you!
Excellent tutorial, thank you. I'm just starting watercolour painting and painting swatches like this is really teaching me about controlling colour, tone, the water, the brush, the pallette, cauliflowers, backruns, dry-lines etc ..... For me, it's learning the fundamentals, like learning musical scales before learning a tune.... Hoping to crack this soon before starting on colour theory, mixing and neutrals.... For me it's all about building experience, technique, and confidence while having lots of fun.
Thanks , I'm a beginner & you are a great help for me ,can't wait to do all kinds of flowers, I was born in Georgia , but stuck in Michigan, I just love the Southern flowers, Magnolias, cotton wood, Gardenias. ,
Thank you for the inspiration to continue my dream to learn watercolor painting. Its an on and off journey simply because watercolor painting is actually intimidating but you make it simpler. Thank you watch your first 2 beginner video hopefully move on to next videos as i go thru the exercises.
You are so amazing when I learn from you and paint with you I feel so comfortable excited and eager for more your voice is so calming and your language is just so understanding
Thank you so much for making these videos! You have made watercolor painting so fun! I have always wanted to learn and I am so excited to do all these videos with you!
Just had to laugh while watching this! When you said you had a cat hair in your paint my cat jumped up on my lap and proceeded to watch your lesson. You make it look so easy. Thanks for these instructional and inspiring lessons!
Your videos are so relaxing to watch and inspiring. Debating if I want to try watercolor for a relaxing hobby. Your set is beautiful! Thanks for the tips and tricks
Thanks for a really good video. I have a question - how long does it take for watercolour to dry so you can do the next layer? It looks dry pretty quickly, but I am guessing I should leave an hour or so (or even overnight?)
Hi Selena! This lesson is to help you understand how much water to mix into paint to get the desired color or consistency. So it’s best to mix the water in your paint instead of wetting your paper first. In my opinion you’ll have better control of your paint if you do it this way for the lesson. I hope that makes sense! Let me know if you have any other questions ☺️
Excellent demonstration, very clear and I like that you did this with two very different colors. I notice that the Prima sets don't use standard names for their colors. The colors "blueberry" and "lime" looks exactly like phthalo blue and sap green produced by other paint companies. It makes me concerned that beginners who use this set might think that this blue is only available from Prima, when actually they are common colors. Have you used other brands of paint and notice other equivalents under different names?
Question… how do you go from light to dark when you do a gradient? I can’t seem to get my gradient swatches looking right. They seem to just wash together into one tint
Wonderful tutorials, teaching me a lot. But had to turn off audio and read the captions. The "little girl" voice just so distracting. I wonder if you talk that way in person and not just making a video. Bah ... had to turn the audio back on because the RUclips captions don't make sense. Okay. I'm back in, I guess.

Thank you. I'm just starting out. How come you didn't wet your paper before hand? Do you prefer the wet on dry painting?

Hi Ilah! Yes I have noticed that some paint colors are very similar or the same across different brands and sets :)
Do you have any control over those puddles that leave curly edges like that?
Do you still do live water color tutorials weekly?
Question… how do you go from light to dark when you do a gradient? I can’t seem to get my gradient swatches looking right. They seem to just wash together into one tint
