Then my Sweet Survivor is a 70 Sport Custom Camper Special with 78k original. Motors all FE Big Blocks. Have had them all in excess of 45 yrs! My 2wd Crew Cab gonna get full restore this year hopefully thats the goal. Have thought about bagging my 69 crew and will decide in the next couple months. Thanks for your Great content. You are doing Nicely!!!!
I appreciate it! That's awesome, both are awesome vehicles. I have some parts I need to add to the fj80 collecting dust and hopefully I can get some off-road video's as well.
It was a little taller than originally planned. If I placed the bags on the links it would lift higher and wouldn't have had to notch the rear so much much.
I wanted to lay the body on the ground aired out and have the bags under the frame rails. So a combination of measurements between all that. Axle placement, I made a mark on the frame where the center of the axle was stock and replicated that when I Fabricated/installed the 4 link. The 4 link bars are adjustable so I am able to fine tune it from there. Hope that helps.
Yoir doing some good work.and fabrication. 👌👍

I think I found my new favorite channel. I too have a 93 FZJ80 and a 1970 F100. Hopefully you’ll make some 80 series videos next! That rig is sweet.

You should get another!
Doesn’t the 4 link have to match the drive shaft geometry I could be wrong but thought I’ve heard that before

I know this video is old but do you have info on how you did the watts link?
I can talk about it in our next video. All that work was done over a few weeks and I forgot to talk about the watts link somehow.
how did you determine the height of you C-notch and where the axle placement thanks

I tuned in to see the watts link fab but you glossed over it lol
How long were the c notch tubs
I'm having a hard time remembering. I think the notch was about 12".total taller than stock frame
What cnc did you go with?
I’d like to know too
It was a laser engraver from amazon that i adapted my plasma cutter to work with. It doesnt look like they sell it anymore
