I would say its performance is equivalent to early gen 2 night vision. Absolutely impressive! I can’t wait for o se the next gen they will come out with after Nvg30
Yeah i'm sure it will be incredible! Would love to see a BTI-10 upgrade to a similar body shape as the NVG30 so that they could be bridged together for total night time domination.
@@GoodNiteGear i really want them to make a model where they ditch the recording feature. i would rather just have them put money into improving the fov/framerate rather than working about capturing video.

@@Nucleus2301 I would rather 60fps at the current resolution and work on contrast in the darker areas. Increasing to 4k is just going to make everything slower and more expensive
As a satisfied customer with the NVG30 form GoodNiteGear. I will say, this beats gen 1 night vision if not very close or equivalent to gen 2. From my experience NVG30 absolutely favors ambient city light pollution bounce from the clouds. You can even see clearly in the shrubs or woods with no IR. Even with moon lighting this NVG30 will be king in moonlight. It will be like day! In absolute darkness the IR light I absolutely appreciate the power of brightness it has. Super satisfied with the NVG30

I tried mines out in the desert last night. Moon is almost full. Definitely looks like day. I can see every little detail in the surrounding landscape.

@@KyzoFox yup. The only time I need the IR is in complete darkness but outside the moon and stars is enough. Really liking this device.
