Yeah, I have ordered one from Aliexpress, still in transit. The brand is BINOK, so does anyone know if they supply the good nite gear or is totally a copy of it? Will wait to see the quality...
@l0ts166 received 2 weeks ago and works fine, I haven't tested in the field yet, but it does work like the one in the videos, all the same functionality.
@l0ts166 yep, got it 👍🏻 Delivered on time, and all the functionality e quality seems to be the same. Still need to fully test on the field or in a game (using for airsoft)
So 30 fps will allow more time for the sensor to collect light before displaying that as a frame, which means it'll show slightly more lit detail than a 40 fps, smoother mode. That being said, the range isn't dynamic enough to make a lot of difference. The good news is that 24 or 30 fps is the absolute bare minimum of navigable use for NVG, so you're getting the best light collection on the low frame rate side... 90 fps would be ideal on the high end due to how we process information it would look instantaneous to us. I'd say run it at 30 fps on a low or no lume night and 40 fps on a high lume or urban environment and keep it there all night as the difference isn't great enough to be worth switching all the time mid night.
hiya lad quick clarification the dovetail mount is for use with a bridged system, you can pick up additional mount options which uses that wilcox or you can invest in the likes of a wilcox or replica KVC (i recommend this i use the replica KVC with my nocturn industries tanto and it does wonders)
@@AdamDguitars you can. It's lag is pretty low, not nearly as bad as some other digital units I've tired. I would say that having a bridge and a 2nd unit would make it much better. Working in a monocular configuration required some getting used to. I'm working on a 2nd video now and hope to share a bit more about it's usability
@@AdamDguitars yeah if I'm being honest, the one thing this unit would benefit from would be optical image stabilization - that's truly the only thing that gives issues during navigation
I have 2 of these on a Wilcox mount. I have trails cut into my heavly treed woods. This is also mounted on my bump helmet. YES you can walk, hunt, shoot, and navigate. You must train your eyes, don't buy these or any NVGS and keep them on the shelve.. USE THEM, TRAIN WITH THEM Get formula with your tools. You did not ask, but yes, you can run an IR weapon sight no problem . I have one on my 300blk. Train with them.
Be aware 1 drop will more than likely break the device mine landed helmet height on rock on the battery housing and now it doesn't power up with the battery anymore. Very disappointed. We will see if the customer service helps me out

Just got their deal that gives you 2 two nvg30 with the Wilcox mount. Very happy with my purchase.👍💯
I've seen this unit as cheap as $300 on aliexpress, makes it super tempting to go out and snag a couple. Thanks for the in-depth review!
is the aliexpress a scam or a catch to it? cause it seems more expensive on goodnitegear.

They supply goodnitegear
@@mrpeperonni3336 could you drop the link? I want to make sure i get the right one and not buy a fake
Just bought mine and i love it! One question though, why would one use 30fps when they can stay as 40fps? more battery life?
@@EliasAbejo-jy3vy probably so. Aside from that I can't see a reason to go lower.

Cmos sensor sensitivity reasoning is why. 30 fps allows you to see better at night

Can you actually walk with it on? I have a SiOnyx Aurora and it’s impossible to walk with b cause of the lag

Will a external battery pack work with this?
It will! I've charged mine on the fly using a small battery pack and USB C cable
@@gunplaytv thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate it.
That bridge will allow you to run a single on the dovetail
